Avoiding Scam HYIP Sites

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

Everyday about three dozen new HYIP sites come out offering to be the solution to your financial dreams and promise you a life fulled with riches and satisfaction. I’ll tell you right off the back there lying. Yes, these HYIP sites are straight out lying to you. Studies show that ™ of HYIP sites are scam, and from my experience this statistic holds true.

HYIP stands for High Yield Investing Program. When we think of investing we think of Wall Street, Stocks, Bonds, and all that good stuff but on the internet HYIP is just a coverup scam sites use to take away your money.

Most HYIP sites are Ponzi Scams. The name Ponzi comes from the man Charles Ponzi who scammed millions of dollars from his Friends, Family, Coworkers, etc. Charles Ponzi paid out his original investors from the investment of others, the same type of scam happens today.

The basic setup for scams is that a new HYIP site comes up claiming they are backed up by Forex Trading. They say all these words to draw you in there trap and at first they probably do pay you, however a few weeks later the site will run away with all the money from investors and you will be left in the dirt. Hundreds of new HYIP sites are made every week and people still fall into their scams, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was just a group of a small individuals just massively making new HYIP’s due to the fact that people keep investing (and losing) money in them.

Now by reading the first couple of paragraphs, your probably now scared into investing anything online, which is okay, HYIP’s are usually run as games and when the payout reaches a certain percentage they stop paying and start a new round. People usually get carried away because they see there making money so they invest all the money they make back into the same program, that’s mistake number one. First thing you DO not want to do with HYIP’s is reinvest your principal money, take that out ASAP and play only with your profits. There are many more common mistakes and I will discuss them in the upcoming paragraphs.

The 5 ways to avoid being scammed

1) Take back your principal investment

As mentioned above, when you invest in a program and receive your money back in addition with your profit, invest only the profits! When you do it this way you now have no risk in losing your money in HYIP’s, you’ll just lose your profits and nothing else. What you may also want to do is instead of investing all of your profit, invest u of it and keep % of it. That way no matter what you come out a winner. Remember take up your principal deposit and play with profits!

2) Study the website

Studying a website does take some research, but it will help you in the long run. If you see a HYIP site claiming to be backed up by Forex ask them for some of there records to see if there telling you the truth or lying. Do a Whois lookup on their domain name to see if there around as long as they say, ask the admin questions, call them if a number is provided, email them and see if they respond. HYIP Scammers are always in a rush and want to get your money and leave ASAP, real HYIP admins won’t lie to you and will take the time to answer your questions truthfully, do your homework and you will be awarded!

3) Check the Interest

If a program is offering more then a day, it is off the back a Ponzi Scam. This does not mean do not invest with them, but it does mean that they are a ponzi and are probably running their HYIP in a game type format (when payout reaches X the next round will become) or they are relying on paying your investments with the investment of new investors. The reason I can say that if a program offers more then that they are a Scam or a Game is because real professional traders can’t possibly offer returns as high as -50 profit per day, that is unrealistic and if they DO offer those rates they are probably running a game HYIP or ponzi HYIP. Check the Interest, you can still make money if a program is a ponzi or game but if you want a reliable program you should settle for %2-5 daily.

-Note: The same goes with referral rates, if they are large and unrealistic such as receiving 0 the program is most likely scamming/tricking you in one way or another.-

4) Don’t put all your eggs in one basket

I’m sure you heard the expression “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket” well this is true, especially for online investment. If you put $50 into a program, they could run off the next day, and now your left with $0. The smart thing to do is that if you have $50 is to invest $10 into 5 different programs, that way you are almost guaranteed to make some type of profit. The more diversifying the more monitoring and tracking you have to do, but the more money you make, don’t be lazy, do some work!

5) Don’t let your emotions run you over

Okay so you invested $100 and received 0 profit. You have $200 and confident that you can double that you immediately reinvest it. Happily, you receive your $400 and quickly reinvest that to make $800, however for some reason you don’t get your $800, instead you get nothing, the program just ran away! Yes, that is right, don’t let emotions control you, people do crazy things when they think they could be making a lot of money, don’t invest to much money into HYIP as in the long run you will probably lose out, instead follow the rule number 1 and you should come out ahead.

From reading this article you learn 5 essential tips that will help you identifying if a HYIP is a scam or not, when and if you should invest, and how to minimize your risk of losing your money. If you follow these strategies you should be making money with HYIP’s instead of losing them. Have fun and happy earning

Raiel Schwartz the admin of truemonitors.com truemonitors.com has been in the HYIP game for several months and has learned how to make the most profit on online opportunities such as Autosurfs, Get Paid To, and HYIP’s. If you want a complete guide of HYIP you should visit

Work At Home Jobs Or Work At Home Scams?! Keep Your Eyes Open!

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

Work at home job opportunities have become more and more popular in recent years. In fact, the United States Department of Labor believes that by the year 2025 up to two-thirds of all Americans could be working from home. Many will be employed by companies using work from home workers; while numerous others will have started their own work at home jobs. Currently, there are more than 52 million home-based workers in North America.

There are lots of companies which provide work at home job opportunities. People can join their affiliate programs, advertise their products and services and earn commissions. As most of their products and services can be advertised online, affiliates can work from home using their personal computer and through advertising at online resources like pay per click search engines and make money. These companies have made thousands of people financially free and self employed. This may encourage you to join one of these affiliate programs and start working at home BUT be careful.

You can join a scam work at home job opportunity, lose a lot of money, waste a lot of time and receive several spam emails and unsolicited phone calls. This can be a bad memory from your first experience or maybe the last one.

If you like to start working from home, you MUST know the differences between a reliable and legitimate work at home job and a scam one:

A reliable work at home job opportunity …

1- is confirmed by one of international organizations like BBB (Better Business Bureau; bbb.org).

2- is free to join (of course please take this into consideration that some reliable and legitimate work at home opportunities have a monthly or one time membership fee, i.e. SMC, Awesome Technology.)

3- has free 24/7 support.

4- is Easy to opt out.

5- has a well-known main website which is listed and known by main search engines. You can check their domain at sunny.nic.com/cgi-bin/whois. If it is registered just recently, you should be careful.

6- has a testimonial page with several testimonials from real people with their contact information which makes you able to contact and ask them about the company.

7- has full and no question money back guarantee for products and also membership fee.

Before joining a work at home job opportunity, consult with people who have been working and dealing with these jobs. You can have access to these people easily through their websites. Also you can search on work at home forums and article directories like work-at-home-topics.com/forums and work-at-home-topics.com/articles and consult other people and know about their experiences and ideas about special work at home jobs.

If you got involved in a work at home scam, you should ask for refund immediately. If they refused to refund money or didn’t answer your email, you have to file a complaint at complaint.bbb.org and also at ifccfbi.gov. If you have problem in finding the related information you need to have for complaining at above websites, you can easily contact work-at-home-topics.com experts. They help you to find the cheaters information more easily.

Things You Should Never Say To A Network Marketing Prospect - Part 1

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

When you’re seeking a good network marketing prospect there are always a few things you never want to tell them. These are the type of responses that are guaranteed to get a good network marketing prospect to reconsider. While you may have good intentions and think you are reeling them in, think about what you are telling the prospect first and see if it is true. Here are a couple things you should never say to a good network marketing prospect.

1. Anyone can do it

This is about the worst thing you can tell a good prospect. The reason being is that it is exactly the opposite in reality. 90% of the people that get into network marketing are not cut out for it and quit after a short time. It’s understandable that you want to get people to think they can do it and it’s not impossible, but give them factual information.

Tell your prospect that it is a lot of work but if they are willing to put in the effort and with the help from you it can be done and they can have success with it. This type of response is much more respected and honest to the person. You may lose some prospects by telling them this, but a good network marketing prospect is willing to put in the effort. If it really were as easy as some people make it out to be, wouldn’t everyone be doing it?

2. You will be rich immediately

This is another false pretense that will either get people excited to join and then they quit after a month or the common sense person will see it as another make money quick scheme. Its fine to tell them what can be done and what type of potential they could have with hard work and a given amount of time, but telling your prospect they can become rich in a month is the wrong thing to say.

Too many people are willing to say just about anything to get their network marketing prospect to start up, but isn’t it much more beneficial to you to find the people that will have success in it. The people that are worth your time are the people that don’t believe these kinds of false statements.

A majority of the time the people that fall for this nonsense are the people that want something big with little time or effort in return. These are the kinds of people that will quit on you after they notice in a month that it is a lot of work and they still have seen nothing in return. Is that the type of person you want on your team, a quitter?

There are several other things you should never say to a good network marketing prospect. These are just a couple of the most important false pretenses that people tell their prospects with the hope of reeling them in. The best way to get a quality network marketing prospect on your team is to be honest with them.

The Hidden Niche

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

THE HIDDEN NICHE.
VIRTUAL ASSISTANTS AND RETIRED SENIOR CITIZENS.

It is my experience that Retired / Senior Citizens and Virtual Assistants greatly benefit from each other. Many Retired / Senior Citizens continue to have some kind of business and need help with many tasks.

Senior Citizens that continue to have businesses after retirement need administrative or secretarial assistance from time to time, some may even need it on a regular basis. Many retired men and women continue to have businesses that they used to run when they were working full time and that now only run on a part time bases, others need administrative services to continue managing their financial affairs; Many others, after the death of their spouse, find themselves managing businesses not known to them with the additional stress of having to perform administrative tasks even more unknown and ever changing with modern technology. Most Retired/Senior Citizens don’t need a full time assistant like they did when they were working full time, but they need assistance. Just a decade ago most business people had a full time assistant and that is how they are most comfortably working.

This is the perfect client for a Virtual Assistant. They need business assistance part time, just what Virtual Assistants provide. Most are very knowledgeable and only need help with typing while others need much more assistance, but at the end, if the Virtual Assistant provides good service; the relationship Virtual Assistant & Retired/Senior Citizen can be not only a perfect combination but also a powerful one.

I have many Retired / Senior Citizens as clients. Many of these clients started as local clients and with the proper guidance on my part and with a lot of enthusiasm on their part, they became virtual clients. Many fax or e-mail their letters to be typed, others have their business e-mails and faxes sent directly to me and I have specific instructions on how to redirect or process them. Many personally drop their work but others are glad to be able to send it online.

There are thousands and thousands of Retired/Senior Citizens requiring assistance that is why I call it THE HIDDEN NICHE; as potential clients they are many times overlooked but don’t forget that people over 65 represent 7% of the world population and by the middle of this century they will be 15% of the world population.

My advise for all Virtual Assistants: Cater to the Retired / Senior Citizens
My advise for the Retired / Senior Citizens: Find yourselves a Virtual Assistant that can help you with administrative work on a part time bases.

Unbelievable Ideas - Home Based Business Success Stories

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

Good ideas are a dime a dozen. In fact, I bet there are enough good product ideas for every citizen of North America to own 5. Each person could receive 5 good ideas for their home based business and be told to go out and make a fortune.

But 95% of those people would fail. Even though each one of them had 5 great ideas for a home based business that would have had thousands of customers, the vast majority of them would fail to make a single dollar of profit from their great ideas. Home based business success requires more than a good product idea.

I’ve met a lot of people with ideas for a home based business. The biggest problems for most of the ones who never succeed are a lack of action and follow through. I like to attribute that to a lack of desire, from which leads to a lack of focus and willingness to remedy the problem with their ideas and home based businesses.

The worst offenders are the people with ideas for home based businesses that never do anything at all. They read and read and read, procrastinate, and live under a blanket of fear. You must push yourself to succeed. The only way your ideas for home based businesses will go anywhere is with execution. Increase your comfort zone by taking small steps.

A month ago I met a guy suffering from this problem. He had a great idea and well-researched market niche and business plan to follow. He was constantly refining the plans for his ideas for his home based business. He must have spent months trying to perfect it.

You will never achieve perfection.

Accept that and you will be much better off. Part of his plan required a blog. Setting up a blog is simple and free. I talked him into just opening an account and setting up the design in a fashionable way so he could get a better idea of future adjustments for his ideas for a home based business.

It was that simple act of execution that finally got the ball rolling for him, and now his home based business is starting to take off.

If you want some ideas – you will have no problem finding them. The main concern is implementation of the ideas for a home based business. Conquer this problem and your chances of success will skyrocket.

Paid Online Surveys vs MLM - Closed End vs Open End Committments?

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

All business activities you may decide to get involved with will have either a mostly closed-end time and effort commitment or a mostly open ended commitment.

What is the difference? Well, in a closed-end type, there is a logical end to the time and effort to be used. Examples could be working as a sales clerk in a department store or taking online paid surveys for pay. When the work is over at the department store, it’s over! There is no way to take it home with you or carry it around with you. When the store closes at night, you go home you′re on your own time. When the last paid survey in your inbox is finished, it’s finished. There is no need to sit there watching the inbox to see if another will appear! Knock off work and check the inbox again tomorrow. Go watch TV or whatever. There’s nothing more to be done. You are on your own time.

If, on the other hand, you have your own online business or work in MLM developing your downline, the commitment of time and effort is open-ended. There is always something else to be done, something that could be done to further your business. You can, and, if your are ambitious, you tend to work from, “Can to can’t.” The only limitation is how much energy you can put into it and how much time you can physically spend (you have to sleep sometime!). To keep on working in the long run you have to schedule and discipline yourself, not permit yourself to work beyond sustainable limits, to avoid crashes and personal breakdowns.

If you are building a business that you expect to bring in a good income some day, it will be worth the open-ended commitment. But if you are just in it for the short-term cash, be careful of activities that pull you in to open-ended time commitments that go on forever!

For your supplemental income streams you want closed-ended time commitments. Do the work, get the money, go on to the next thing. You want things that make cash for you but don’t make excessive demands on your time. Paid online surveys are ideal in this respect. Network Marketing Tip - How To Create Your Own Sizzle Call From Scratch

Friday, September 26th, 2008

You can make your own sizzle call for any business. The easiest way to do that is by recording exactly how you want the call to sound on your PC and then playing that recording into your telephone as the outgoing message for your sizzle call.

You could spend a lot on high-end audio recording software to create your sizzle call but there are two great programs that can accomplish the same thing and they’re both free.

The first one is called AudioGrabber. Do a Google search for AudioGrabber and you should have no problem finding it.

AudioGrabber is nice because you can use it to capture any audio that goes through your computer speakers. To do that, just go to File | Line in Sampling. You can save these audio files as WAV files.

If you want to save them as MP3s you have to install a special DLL (called the LAME DLL) on your computer. To find out how to do that, go to the Links page on the AudioGrabber site.

I’ve used AudioGrabber to turn phone teleconferences into MP3s that I can listen to on my iPod. To do that, I hook up a microphone to my computer’s audio input, place it next to my phone headset, turn on Line In Sampling in AudioGrabber and start recording. Then I save it as an MP3 (because I have the LAME DLL installed) and transfer it to my iPod.

The other free audio program you should get is an audio editing program called Audacity. You can download Audacity for free from the Sourceforge site.

Now you can open one of the audio files you created with AudioGrabber and edit it with Audacity. You can do pretty much anything you can imagine: you can delete dead spaces or unwanted sounds, add noise effects, copy and paste sounds together, work with multiple tracks, etc.

Give yourself some time to become familiar with how Audacity works. If you can cut and paste and delete in Microsoft Word you can start working with Audacity. But it has a ton of features so don’t get intimidated.

I′ve used AudioGrabber and Audacity to put together lots of sizzle calls. Basically, I find testimonials of people talking about my products or business and I record them with AudioGrabber. Then I pull those recordings into Audacity and clean them up (get rid of dead silence and “ums” and “ahs”).

I record myself giving a quick intro and quick outro for the testimonials. I record myself directly into Audacity but I could go through AudioGrabber, too.

Then I use Audacity to stitch all the tracks together.

To hear an example of one of my calls, listen to this one:

1-866-598-4028

Once you have the audio for your sizzle call you need to have a good voicemail service to use it with.

The voicemail service I use is with VoiceNation. I like VoiceNation because they have toll free voicemail for about $5 a month. The features of their service include unlimited length greeting, Caller ID, monthly call detail reports and you receive an e-mail every time someone leaves you a message.

Once my sizzle call is ready, I record it as my outgoing greeting with my VoiceNation service and I′m ready to start taking calls.

Follow these steps and soon you′ll be creating your own sizzle calls, too!

How To Only Talk With Interested People About Your MLM Business

Friday, September 26th, 2008

There is a major flaw with the traditional MLM business model. That major flaw is that you are told to go out and talk to a completely UNTARGETTED market…being your friends and family.

Think about it for a moment, what businesses are built off talking to your friends and family? Not many…and there are a lot of reasons why. First off…not one of those people expressed they were originally interested in your business. You have to go through mass amounts of people in hopes of finding someone who is actually interested.

The second reason its so limited is because there is such a limited amount of people to talk too…and when they are gone…so is your ability to expand your business.

Hence the reason you need to learn the most important aspect to growing ANY successful business, which is learning how to MARKET your business.

When you know how to market, you know how to put your business message in front of a very targeted group of people, and ONLY talk to those people who respond to you and show an interest. THAT is how all successful businesses are built and if you view yourself as a true entrepreneur…why should MLM be any different?

Applying time tested and proven marketing strategies to my MLM business brought me from struggling to recruit anyone to recruiting as many as 22 people, personally sponsored, in under a month in my MLM business. Learn how to market and you can be successful at anything you want.

How to Start a Home Based Business

Friday, September 26th, 2008

Starting a home based business can be very profitable if done correctly. The problem with most opportunity seekers today looking to start their own home based business is that they lack the knowledge and tools to help them succeed. It doesn’t matter what you’re selling online, once you master the process, it’s possible to sell any product or service. However it’s essential to have various tools available that will help grow a home based business.

When starting a home based business most people enter with the preconceived notion that they can simply sit back and watch the sales role in, when in fact it’s just not true. New business owners looking to work from home need to know three important things.

Find a product or opportunity that you feel confident about and one that fits your personal needs. With some many opportunities available online today, it’s difficult to pick out opportunities that are working for others. Most opportunities will allow you to sign up for a free conference call that will give a bit more insight on what their product is and what they are all about. Listen carefully and make sure to take notes, when the conference call is over, review your notes and ask yourself if this is the opportunity for you.

Joining the right program is only the beginning. In order to become a successful home business owner, you are going to go through changes and they may be uncomfortable. If you want to get rid of the 9 to 5 job making $25,000, $50, 0000 or $70,000 you need to change what you are currently doing. This means that your business will not grow until you make it happen. Joining an opportunity and failing to take action to show others your opportunity will get you nowhere.

Utilize advertising techniques. Some people become scared at this point claiming they do not know how to advertise a home based business. In fact there are free ways to promote your online opportunity and that’s exactly how I got started. Write informative articles such as this one and submit them to article directories where thousands of business seekers may view your article. Search, “free classified” ads online and start posting your opportunity. A few good ones are Craig’s list, backpage.com and US freed ads. Run a search on money making forums and start talking on those message boards. Every time you make a new post, you can have a link at the bottom of your post pointing back to your opportunity. You would be surprised how many views your home based business opportunity will receive.

Follow up with prospects. There is an old saying; it’s all in the follow up. Make a list of all the people that may have e-mailed you, responded to an ad or left you their phone number. Call them back and ask them if you can help. Helping people achieve their financial success is extremely effective. Be sincere and give them an honest opinion and share your personal experience. Building a business is about building relationships.

Free Exposure for Your Business with Press Releases

Friday, September 26th, 2008

Press releases are a great way to get plenty of free exposure for your business. Simply put:

1. You write a newsworthy story about your business into a certain format
2. Send the story to various media outlets.
3. If they’re interested, they may publish your press release or interview you.

A story that the media picks up will be far more valuable than a paid advertising spot. Having the media do a story about you is like a personal endorsement of your website and business. You can tell them about the launch of your new website or business; your expert opinions on a topic in the news; fundraisers or anything else the media might be interested in.

That sounds easy enough, but how do you put a press release together? Here are some tips to get you started:

Appropriate Press Release Format

Your press release should have six basic components and they are:

1. Release Instructions

“For Immediate Release”;
“For Release Before [date]” or
“For Release After [date]“

Use one of the latter two if your press release is of a time sensitive nature. For example, if you are holding a public speaking event, you will want to use the “For Release Before [date]” and make sure you input the final date for registrations. If you are using the “For Release Before [date]” ensure you are sensitive to media deadlines. Send your release out well in advance.

2. Headline

Write an attention-grabbing headline. Make it benefits-oriented (why would it be of interest to people?) and descriptive. Avoid hype and promotional language ~ remember, this is a news story.

3. Contact Information

Include as much information as possible here. Make it easy for the media to contact you. Include your phone number, address, company name, fax number, email and website URL. Include the hours you are available at the listed phone number and add an after hours phone number, if applicable.

4. Summary

Before you get into the body of the release, write a sentence or two to summarize your press release. Make it interesting, you want the recipient to keep reading.

5. Content

This is the meat of your press release. Again, write a benefits-oriented story. Think of the target audience as you are writing. Your target audience is partly the editor or reporter who will be reading the release. Ultimately, however, your target audience is that editor or reporter’s readers or audience. You need to write a story that will be of interest to them.

The first paragraph should answer all the important questions - Who, What, Where, When, Why & How?

Add some quotations to add credibility and to break up the story. Quotations can be from you about the topic. Testimonials or commentary from your customers are very effective as well.6.

6. Signify the End of Your Release

The end of your press release is shown by a few simple characters. Place ### at the end of your release.
