Increasing Family Income Through Business Building

Friday, August 29th, 2008

Many News programs have run alot of stories of how many families are getting into debt to maintain their lifestyles, or at least the lifestyles they believe they should have. This has resulted in families being under huge stress due to increased financial burdens.

The finance companies and banks don’t care but continue to attempt to milk the cow harder even though it is sick. Most people have debt at levels that mean they face years, if not decades of paying large amounts of their income in interest and repayments. It means virtual slavery. Yet still the “EASY” credit continues.

There is hope though for families before they reach breaking point. There has never been a time in history when such money making opportunities are open to so many people.

Anyone can now start an online business. All that is required is computer and an internet connection. What makes more sense? You can only work so hard in your day job. Even if you do overtime the tax man takes more than his fair share - so that you work harder and harder for less and less. The only sensible solution is to have a business that earns you money. To have a system, business, opportunity that continues to work even while you are asleep.

Huge companies like google are allowing the little guy a chance to be in on the action. Even uTube is now considering on how to share revenue with the little guy. The list of MLM’s online is almost endless. Look and find the MLM opportunity that best fits you and use the advantage of teamwork to build your finances up.

Many families love traveling, but many are putting it on credit cards and throwing themselves into years of debt for a couple weeks of happiness. How much better to reward a year of building a company online with a holiday paid for by your online company, instead of that credit card. Yes you may have to give up an hour in front of the T.V. but if you can type, building an internet business is physically easy and not too demanding mentally, especially once you start getting results and getting checks or paypal income from google, ebay, affiliate products or your MLM program.

What makes more sense? What is more realistic? Cut back on your families lifestyle? or Increasing your family’s total income.

Is Home Business Really a Business

Friday, August 29th, 2008

Home business, doesn’t it strike you? But then another question hammers in your mind, whether it is a credible & lucrative business just like others? This is a never-ending argument between Successful and Botched people who tried this business. Do you know that only 2 % people are successful in home business and 98% are failures? Could you think of who are those 2 per centers? Successors? Why majority people are botched? Let me discuss some core issues about home business.

What is the Home Business?

A business you can operate from your home in flexible hrs. You will be your own boss. There is only a small investment and above all you can work with World’s Top marketing companies. You can earn decent money for your efforts and knowledge.

Who is the right person to do it?

In my opinion everybody can do this business, which have a strong urge to do something with certain level of commitment and dedication. But one can generate a handsome income only after having accumulated a reasonable knowledge about marketing techniques, knowledge of your target audience/market and certainly latest promotional tools, because INTERNET is the fastest way to market your products and services. A good knowledge of email marketing, websites and search engines will be additives to your income & success. You must be innovative and creative while marketing your products and services. There are no set rules; every successful marketer has developed their own strategies. You will also learn when you decide not to quit but to persist your enthuse to succeed.

Is it worth to invest money in home business?

YES! I say yes, if you are really serious about this business you have to invest some money wisely just like any other business. For e.g. if you are planning to open a shop, you need space at a high traffic area, you need some hot selling products, you have to do some interior to make it attractive and last but not least you have to advertise your business to get customers. All the above requires wealth/capital to invest. Right! Same basic rule also applies in home business.

Why 98% peoples fails?

This is a naked and callous truth about home business that 98 % people are failures. The foremost reason is lack of knowledge, patience and earnestness. Most of the people join Network marketing companies to earn quick money without doing anything. They endeavor it for few months and then give up. They never attempt to learn the right techniques and strategies they only want some quick bucks. They don’t be bothered for their customers or down line. They are reluctant to solve the problems of their customers and down line, which results in dissatisfaction and frustration and then finally surrender. This ends the business in itself because ‘U’ ultimately will end up with no earning and get only a ruined business.

Who is the Successful 2 per centers?

These 2 per centers are the people who never quit and have faith in themselves. They learn from their mistakes and imbibe a lot more from apex of these businesses. They motivate themselves endlessly and help others in their down line to achieve the same. They are taking towering risk, as they know that nothing comes without efforts. They strive to imitate and generate new ideas from their up line and other successful Marketers. They always-welcome new ideas, believes in acceptance, always ready to take risk, and have a ‘NEVER SAY DIE’ Attitude. Believes strongly in “If someone can earn, then why can’t I?”

Why more and more people are going for it?

According to my study and observation, a lot more individuals are looking for home business opportunities and the only one main reason is ‘TIME’. Today maximum no. Of populace is fed up of their working schedules, jobs and lifestyle. There is no time for the family, oneself and/or society. A hate feeling has developed for routine 9 to 6 hrs job as the maximum times goes in commutation (3-4 hrs. daily) from home to office and then office to home. After a long drenching day reached home fully exhausted and frustrated. So the Idea of home business always fascinates them. They would have always dreamt about it. That’s why every 45 second someone has joined the home business worldwide. It is an alarming figure and more and more people opt home business as substitute earning source. You know 90% of the working mothers don’t have more then 2 hrs daily for their kids. This is very provoking for both mothers and kids; their family bonding is at a risk. The only solution for this problem is owning home business where one cannot only earn well but also have a suffice time for family and oneself.

In my opinion everybody has a right to live freely and must devote enough time with their family. So joining a home business is really good decision but mind you, you have to work smartly and not hard. Now a day a lot of successful marketers are ready to share their secrets with you and you get all valuable information for just a few bucks. If you are really thinking about to start a home business consider some points before you join:

1) Check the company’s reputation, their promoters their products and existence of company and Track record.

2) Check if the company paying their affiliates timely.

3) Is the products are really good quality.

4) Is you’re up line supportive.

Once you verify the above points, go and join it and start working, as this is your own business. If you are determined and ready to learn, you will definitely win.

Tortoise or Hare? Get Rich Slow or Fast

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

Which of the two do you like better? In terms of making it to the top, which way would you rather choose? Get rich slow? Or get rich fast?

We move in a very fast world. We could get most anything in an instant. Who would not want to get rich quickly? Hey! Definitely I don’t mind getting rich right away! But is it really possible? Is it really worth the expectations or is it just a mere expectancy?

Get rich fast methods have long pervaded and had many people interested into trying out such schemes. However, they really don’t turn out that way. You are still reading on this article, definitely, the get rich fast didn’t make it. Most of the get rich fast schemes, like the pyramid schemes, only waste your hope for that dream that never materialized.

It is the attitude one acquires with a get rich fast mentality that keeps one from achieving the end. Imagine, from the very start you psyched yourself already to expect big dough at a given period. You would not be preparing anymore for your tomorrow. It would be easy for you to say, ‘money will come, money will come.’ You end up spending wastefully, but at the end of it, no big money.

Don’t be bothered though. The get rich slow method could actually work to make you rich. Get rich slow would not take you a lifetime. It is just a matter of putting things into their proper perspectives until you can afford to be leisurely, until you are rich!

Know and focus on your goal and constantly work on it. It is through the careful and calculated steps that could lead you the way to the top.

Save up

You could get rich slowly through saving. The secret to effectively do this is for you to save first before spending, not spend first then save what is left. This is quite difficult to do considering the consumerism of our generation, but this is tried and tested! At the start of each month, deposit 10% of your income to the bank. You have sure money equivalent to a thirteenth month pay at the least!

Spend less

There is a common notion that as your means increases, your necessities and wants also increase. However, to get to the goal of getting rich slowly, you must keep yourself disciplined. Do not consume more than what you need. Make smart decisions when you spend your money. Do you really need it? Is this really useful? Will this really make me happy in the long run or am I just satisfying a passing fancy?

Maximize

Make the most of anything you have or you own. Consume down to the last drop or down to the last fiber, before buying yourself another one. Take your groceries for example. Imagine how much you could have saved from the commodities you have to dispense with because they are beyond expiry date already.

Don’t throw out things right away. Things that are not of good use for you anymore might be good enough to be bought by someone else in a garage sale. You can even try to earn from your trash through recycling. Every cent is worth saving.

Carefully plan the risks

You will find yourself taking positive actions to earn extra money, but when you do, study everything! When you do take out that cash from your pocket, make sure it goes to a good investment. Purchase something that increases value in the long run. Start a business that has a good market. Do everything to make it work out and bring in money to you.

Invest on yourself

Constantly improve on yourself and increase your own market value. Attend seminars and trainings. Pursue further studies. Obtain much experience as you can. You don’t expect to do the same job and receive the same salary forever. You have to aim high, to be the best of whatever field you are in now. This will take time but before you know it, you are climbing your way up there.

Of course, you must also take care of yourself. Engage in healthy lifestyle. Give yourself ample rest every now and then. There is truth in the saying that health is wealth. You can never do any of the things mentioned above if you are stuck sick on your bed. Or imagine that money you saved up spent on the pharmacy! You surely don’t want that.

We’ve all heard the story of the tortoise and the hare. We all know the moral of the tale. We only have to apply it to make it to our own goals. There is nothing wrong in wanting to make it rich in this lifetime, since we’ve only got one. That is why we have to make sure that the considerable amount of effort and time we exert on our everyday must bring us a good future. It is possible!

Getting Started in Your Home Business

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

When it comes to starting a home business, some people always seem to know exactly what type of business they want to start, however, they just cannot bring themselves to take action and get started. They use excuses to justify their procrastination…

Then in sheer contrast, there are those who take action and get started. Consider Henry Ford for example, he knew exactly what type of business he wanted to start, and he took action and started it. He did not allow excuses to get in his way, and procrastination, it was not even in his vocabulary. You see, Mr. Ford had learned to recognize the fundamental principle that with persistent will come success, and that excuses always recede in its presence.

The lesson was taught to Mr. Ford while still a young boy. He was presented the story of how nature applies sustained pressure (persistence) to form or produce a diamond from coal. From that lesson, Mr. Ford deduced that he too, by applying the same principle of persistence, could form or produce his own diamond in his chosen occupation. Can you imagine where the automobile industry might be today were it not for Henry Ford and other like-minded individuals who followed his pattern.

Many of us could take a lesson from Mr. Ford about the value and need of implementing persistence in our own chosen occupation.
Perhaps, we too can use persistence as effectively as Mr. Ford did to produce a diamond in our own present and future situations. There certainly is ample evidence in the lives of great men like Mr. Ford, and others, that strongly suggest that excuses, both real and imagined, do in fact fade into nothingness in the presence of persistence.

Mr. Ford used persistence as the means to focus and fine-tune his determination to take action and get started and to succeed despite the very excuses that may be holding some of us back. Perhaps, if we ignore the excuses and take action and get started that we too, like Mr. Ford, will learn the lesson that in the presence of persistence, excuses fade into nothingness.

Good luck in your decisions… take action, get started!

5 Surefire Ways for Teachers to Make Money This Summer

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

For Teachers, the summer months, although a great vacation, can also be the perfect time to make some extra money and reduce debt.

What are the options for a Teacher to make money during the summer with a short-term business that can end when summer does?

1. Tutoring.
I know it sounds obvious, but tutoring can bring in decent cash. You already have the connections through school, so marketing your tutoring business (and building a customer base) can be fairly easy – especially if you let parents know you offer tutoring before the school year ends.

2. Babysitting
If you enjoy working with young children, you can work a few hours each week babysitting. Your hourly pay will be less than if you opt for tutoring, but you can still make a respectable $10 an hour babysitting. As a mom, I know how hard it is to find reliable, trustworthy babysitters, so you’d easily be able to get regular sitting jobs.

3. Summer Camp
Hold a summer camp at a local park or even at your own home. Host a week-long camp, and plan activities. Parents will love the break from their kids, especially knowing the kids will be well taken care of and they’ll be having a great time.

4. Online Auctions
Take the opportunity to list all your extra treasures on eBay. You’ll clean out your home of junk as well as bring in some well-deserved money. If you’re feeling ambitious, you can even list other people’s items and take a percentage for the effort.

5. Vacation Helper
Many families go on vacation during the summer. They need reliable people to house sit, water plants, get the mail and sometimes pet-sit as well. You’d be providing a very valuable service with little effort on your part.

These are just a few of the many ways for you to make some extra money during your summer break. The important thing is that it does not take a large amount of cash to start your own business. You can start with just word of mouth and take it from there.

Networking - Relax!

Networking – relax! – Gill Fernley and Justin Baker, Six Degrees Network

Anyone who has been to a networking event has met business card thruster guy. Won’t leave you alone, thrust their card in your face, every attempt at conversation gets quickly turned into a sales pitch. These people aren’t networking, they’re selling. Badly.

Let me share with you some of my thoughts on what puts the ‘work’ in networking. Networking is a form of marketing, and any form of marketing is most effective when you don’t come straight out and say “buy this!” The best marketing techniques work on building relationships – courting trust, showing your intentions to be honourable in what you are offering. And there are certain market characteristics too:

People buy people.

People work with (and refer) people they like.

People don’t like being sold to.

That’s why the best networkers aren’t the great sales gurus, they’re the archetypal ‘people person’. They are interested in other people and what they do. They want to help as well as be helped, not just because it will see them get business in the future, but because they like helping others. And most importantly, they don’t talk – they listen.

Many networking events involve a ‘round robin’ of everyone there, which certainly has its uses – you get to tell everyone who you are and what you do, and if there is someone there who is looking for the service you provide, they will very likely come up to you for a chat. But that’s not networking, that’s hit and miss, and it’s very important to understand the difference.

What I call hit and miss is what I just described above. You tell as many people in one go what you do in the hope that one of them is looking for it – the social equivalent of a mailshot, and just about as effective.

When you network, it involves who you get to know, and who they know, and who they know. This is called Six Degrees of Separation, the theory of psychologist Stanley Milgram. Milgram theorised that there was a chain of six people or less connecting us to everyone else on the planet, and this is also where Six Degrees Network gets its name from. This, to us, is exactly what networking is about: working that chain, getting your details through to the person at the other end, by getting to know people who can pass that information on. Word-of-mouth marketing relies on this being a small world, and networking makes it even smaller. This is also why the IT consultant, for example, shouldn’t ignore the mechanic or the florist – firstly it’s rude, and secondly who knows who they know?

So how do you get your name down that chain? It’s unfortunate but true, that meeting a truly nice person is a rare occurrence these days. People remember meeting them when they do, and they feel an obligation to do something nice for them in return. Business card thruster guy will be bunched in with all the rest that person has ever met, but you, the sincere, friendly person who they chewed the fat with for half an hour about their business, their family and life in general, will be remembered. And if someone ever mentions your type of service to them in the future, you get the all-important “You know, I met a really nice guy/girl who does that called…” Just in case business card thruster guy is reading this and wonders what my point is here, this is called a referral. Its ok, I know you haven’t seen one before. Don’t be scared.

How To Decide Work From Home

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

With the introduction of information technology and the Internet, work-from-home programs have been a continuous way to earn money for so many years now, and it seems to be getting better each day.

Now, here you are trying your way to get out of the traffic jam because you are going to be late for work again. When you are about to finish your work, you will realize that it is time again to pack your things up and go back to your home. This is another traffic you have to get through again.

Doesn’t it look like a boring routine? Think again.

That’s why more and more people are interested in working from home. They will not only save their transportation costs, but, they are able to work better. They do not feel too tired to get things done.

So, if you have been thinking on whether you would go and try working at home or not, then it’s better to take a look at some of the advantages and disadvantages. This will help you decide whether you would go for it or not:

Advantages

1. Convenience

This is the most important part of most work-from-home arrangements. You don’t have to wake up early every single day just to get through the heavy traffic.

2. Encourages safety.

There had been some reports about accidents involving people who are in a hurry to get to work. There are thousands of incidents where people get hurt or severely hurt just because they want to get to work at once so as not to be late. It is all because of one thing: they are all rushing to get to work.

However, if you work from home, chances are you will not need to face these dangerous incidents waiting around. You don’t have to rush in order to beat the traffic. You don’t have to press the accelerator faster just to get into the meeting earlier. All you have to do is to sit back, relax and think on how you will start your work today right in the comfort of your home.

3. Gives more time for your family.

In many cases, people who work in the office will have little time for their family. Why? It is because they will be spending almost half of their time travelling back and forth, from their house to office and vice-versa.

However, if they work from home, half of the time spent in travelling will be dedicated more to the family,

Cons

1. It’s not an eight-to-five job.

Since you are working from home, the timeframe is not strictly set unlike what you have on a regular job.

In addition, your client sometimes gets to think that you are available 24 hours a day since it is so easy to get in touch with you. All they have to do is to call you or get you online. What’s worse, they won’t even think twice in calling you at midnight just because there’s some work that need to be hurriedly done.

2. There’s no definite distinction.

As your home is your office and your office is your home, it is really difficult to set a clear distinction on getting into an office mode and eventually switching to home mode if needed.

Most often than not, you get to work most of the time when you work from home. This is because there is no time frame to follow, no buzzers to beat, and no deadlines to meet.

3. Hard to be disciplined at home.

You can clearly see that your home office is just beside your bed, your computer near your night table, and your phone just a few inches from you.

If people find it difficult to wake up in the morning just to get to work, it is obviously even harder when working from home. People who work from home always tend to think that they can do the work a little later since there wouldn′t be a boss to check out if you are late.

So, if you really want to decide whether you want to work from home, it’s all up to you now. The most important point is the compensation. Be it from home or in the office, as long as you are well compensated, then there wouldn′t be any problem at all.

Home Business Startup Fears and How to Avoid Them

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

I AM AFRAID I WILL FAIL – WHAT SHOULD I DO?

It is normal, and even wise, to feel some nervousness about starting any new venture. We have three suggestions to start with:

1) Provide as much of a financial cushion for yourself as you can, before you begin. Any new business takes time to get started and begin to become financially viable. In fact, you may wish to start your home based business in your spare time while
continuing to work at your “day job” for a while. You may wish to view it as a “hobby” for a while – until you gain the confidence to step out full time into a work from home business.

2) Connect yourself with others who have already gone through what you are going
through now and come out on the other side.

3) Get as much training as you can in the mechanics of using the internet and finding
your way through such obstacles as taxes, government regulations, legal issues and so on. The more you know about these things – or better yet the more you know about how to LOOK THEM UP the less fearful these things will be.

The most basic internet search will lead you to sites and links which will give you step-by-step instructions for putting your home based business idea into effect. If you have a little start up money (and you should expect to need some) you can find, for a small fee, someone to design a web page for you or furnish you with all the forms you may need for administering your business in a professional way. Don’t forget – the idea is for you to make maximum use of your PERSONAL skills and interests. You don’t need to feel that you have to start out knowing EVERYTHING – no one does. But once you get in contact with others who have done this you will realize that if they can do it, you can.

One thing that many beginners neglect in their eagerness to get started is proper preparation in the form of a solid business plan. Again, a quick search on the internet will lead you to ways to find good templates for business plans that you can use to plug in your particular information. This will not only be an invaluable asset in promoting your business but will serve to focus you on exactly what you want your business to be and to do. A good business is neither too narrow in focus (limiting your possibilities) or too wide (not having clear goals.) It is difficult to present to others exactly what you do if you do not have a clear idea yourself. Sometimes in writing a business plan a person realizes that want they truly want is something slightly different from what they originally envisioned. That’s good! Look for a good business plan design and then shape it to fit your ideas.

People sometimes become discouraged early because they had too high an expectation of sitting back and watching the money roll in. You will see ads on TV which encourage this kind of expectation. Ignore them. Realize from the beginning that any business takes hard work and some disappointments before it gets off the ground. But isn’t that the case with a salaried job also? At least your hard work is going for something you are building for YOURSELF, not for someone else. And your early disappointments will give you valuable experience instead of knocking you down a step on the corporate ladder.

Don’t forget, the internet – and the use of it – is the one thing that will DEFINITELY grow in the future. Remind yourself, too, that those thousands of people out there working at their own businesses cannot all be geniuses and you don’t have to be either!

In part two we will explore the government, non-profit and paid services that can help you shed the fear you have about starting your home business.

How To Be Successful At Home Businesses

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

Not everyone can be successful at home businesses. Although a home based business can be very lucrative and net you a decent income, you need to work at it. Simply deciding to have a home based business, starting it without prior planning and preparation, and expecting it to be profitable, is a surefire recipe for disaster, or in this case - financial losses. Thus, to help you be successful at home businesses, here are some valuable tips.

Success Tips For A Home Based Business

1. Knowledge is the key: In order for any home based business to be successful, it is vital that you know the ins and outs of your business. Without information and knowledge, you are unlikely to make your home based business a success. What you should be looking at is to become an expert in your business. People are more likely to hire you, or buy your product, if you can make them feel like you know what you are talking about. In addition to getting you more clients, being knowledgeable about your work will also help you to command a better price.

2. Capital: Ensuring adequate cash flow so that you have money to manage your business is very important. Many a home based business have gone kaput because their owners did not have enough money to tide them over, till their home based business started turning in profits. Even if your business idea is solid, you are not going to start making money from the first day itself. Thus, you should have enough cash for your business supplies, marketing and advertising, and day to day expenses for at least six months. If your home based business is going to be your full time job, factor in living expenses as well.

3. Start building a client base: Being successful at home businesses is possible only if you have a good client base. In order to build a customer base, you need to:

Advertise your home based business. Even if your marketing budget is low, you can still put the word out there and it will spread through word of mouth.Provide a quality product or service. Let your work speak for itself and you will find that the customers are pouring in.Make sure your work is completed within the deadline and at the lowest cost to your customer as possible.Ask satisfied clients to give you referrals.Always deliver on what you promise so that your customers can depend on you.Do not be rigid. Try and adjust to your client’s needs. Thus, by following these tips, it will not be long before you are successful at home businesses.

The Best Things In Life Aren’t Always Free

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

I have often heard people urge wahms and other home based business owners to never pay for a business opportunity. I agree with that in some ways. We must always keep in mind that there are scam artists out there capitalizing enormously from unethical business practices. True enough, you would never pay to be hired on a job. But my friends, a home based business is not a job. You have no boss. You decide when you work, where you work and how hard you work. This is your business. You are the CEO!If you′ve done your research, then you know a traditional brick and mortar business would require some relatively hefty start up capital.

Please, don’t misunderstand, I’m not saying spend your life savings to take advantage of an opportunity that appears to be a legitimate business venture. Just keep an open mind. Research the company thoroughly. If you feel it’s worth the investment (we know traditional businesses certainly have start-up fees) go for it.

Your safety net will be the knowledge you′ve acquired as you′ve researched several work at home businesses. Don’t ever jump to quickly on any opportunity. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

Here’s to your prosperity in the home based business industry!
