Work At Home The Smart Way

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

Want to start working online to make money, but have no idea where to start? No kidding. Enter “work online″, “home business” or anything similar to that into your browser and you will instantly be inundated with one site after another, offering you thousands of dollars a week, or even a day, if you just buy their “system”. They have fantastic sales copy to lure you in, and you start to think, “Wow, this sounds really easy!”, you send them your money, and what are you left with? A “system” that basically instructs you to buy more programs, more stuff, and spend more money just to get started. Even if they give you access to a website, you more than likely have to host it yourself (know anything about web hosting? Me neither!), and then you have to find out how to bring traffic to your site. Oh, they tell you it’s easy, and it can be, if you’re willing to pay for a bunch of ads to promote your site the way they suggest. Hold on, weren’t you in this to MAKE money? Hmmm.

Now, I will admit, there are some programs that are worth every penny of their purchase price, and more. I’ve found a couple that I wouldn′t trade for the world. The difference is, they don′t try to sell their system with a bunch of empty promises, and they don′t force you to sell their product over and over again. The one I actually purchased, and definitely recommend, is one that teaches you every step of the way, and gives you fantastic tools to succeed. There are also great affiliate programs everywhere that offer great compensation programs once you sign up and promote their products. And those are free to join!

So it’s not impossible to find a way to make a comfortable living, or at least an extra few bucks to supplement your income, working online. I think if I can do it, anyone can, but it’s certainly not for everyone. Remember, working online is still working, and if those programs tell you otherwise, they are lying. And with that, working at home, there’s no boss to tell you to get your work done, so the money that you make depends completely on you. Who knew bosses served a purpose! But if you are motivated and dedicated, go for it.

There are wonderful opportunities out there, just be careful who you partner with and what you purchase to do it. Make sure there is an ironclad money back guarantee for any system you purchase, just in case it doesn’t work for you. I hate to think of the money I’ve lost from people who said they would give me my money back and I never saw a dime of it back. Be cautious at first, then be fearless. Go for it.

How to Work at Home Online (part 1)

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

If you are anything like me, you must always be searching for away to go about creating and extra income working online out of your house. Most people have no idea what it takes to work online to make money, or even how to start making money online.

That’s where I am going to help you. I am going to show you some good tips and ideas that you should follow to start off on the right foot.

I am sure you see websites, and people saying make money 15 minutes from now, or make money while you sleep. This all sounds good, and we all wish we could do just what these websites, and people are saying. However making money online isn’t that just that easy.

You have to build a business for yourself, and work it like you would if it was your day job. I am not saying you have to spend 8 hours a day on the computer, but you have to put at least and hour or two into each night.

Here are a few tips and suggestions I have for you about starting to make money online from home.

Make time to work your business. This is a key player if you want to make money online. You must set aside a few hours each night where you can work on your business for one to two hours per night. Make sure this is a place where you can get work done, and nobody will bother you while you are working. Make the most of this time!

The second thing you have to do is test, test, and test! Testing what does and what doesn’t work is going to be what makes your business money. However if you test something that does not work don’t worry, cause it will only need to newer and better things! Once you do find something that does work, use it to its maximum and get everything out of it you can.

That’s all for right now. However there will be more to come. So remember only YOU have the power to make your business work!

Home Based Business – Why Article Marketing is Good for Your Home Based Business

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

The newest trend in America (and I imagine many other countries) is that of the home based business. Now I say home based business rather than internet or online business because I believe that there are many home based businesses that are not internet or online based.

But what if you could take your existing home based business and add to it an online or internet aspect? What if in one hour a day, you could add 10% to your home-based businesses’ bottom line? If that would be a good proposition for you, read on. If not, you are hereby disqualified from reading the rest of this article and are kindly asked to exit this page immediately.

Now that I only have readers who are qualified to read this, and personally would be willing to invest 1 hour a day to increase their business (your business) by 10% per year, I will give you a secret:

Once you get online, have a web site and a landing page, start writing articles and submitting them to the big online article directories.

This even works for small local businesses.

You see, when you write articles for the web, and include a link back to your web site, the search engines will rank you higher in their results, especially niche markets. Now, if you will simply add the name of your town where you do business, you will immediately nichefy your market, and give yourself a much higher chance of placing high in the search engine results. So if you sell wedding gowns and live in Topeka, use ‘topeka wedding gowns’ as your text link when you write articles, and you will find that people who live in Topeka who are looking for wedding gowns will get to your web site. Do you think that could increase your bottom line by 10%? Give it a shot and prove me wrong.

Do you want to learn more about how I use articles to generate huge returns in my own business? I have just completed my brand new guide to article marketing success, ‘Your Article Writing and Promotion Guide‘

The Easy Home Based Business KISS?

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

We know that there really is not an easy home based business but what if we simplified ours and made it easier? There is an old abbreviated phrase called KISS. It stands for; “Keep it Simple Stupid!” I like the phrase a lot but the “Stupid” does not really apply to anyone in business. I would like to change the phrase to be more business oriented. I believe it should be called; “Keep it Simple and Straightforward.”

Keeping it simple and straightforward will help you to stay focused on your home based business. Do you have unnecessary people, software, electronics, accounting methods, or debt that is dragging your business down?

When we are working on or in our home based business one thought that should be in the forefront of our minds is the word simple.

Some Questions to Keep it Simple and Straightforward:

* Can my business run without a lot of people?

* Is the software that I use easy enough for anyone to learn?

* Do I have the proper systems in place to allow the business to continue incase I become ill or disabled?

* How easy and efficient are my marketing campaigns and tracking systems?

* Is the accounting process fairly straightforward?

* How can I simplify the sales process?

* Do I have backups of all my vital home based business information?

The questions above are to help you to step out of your home based business and look at it with a more discerning eye. I know how hard it is, and to make it easier I came up with a fairly easy way to look at your company from a birds eye view.

To look at your home based business from a different view you first need to step out of the business. I find that the best way to do that is to take a day away from the business and use that day to visualize the daily activities, tasks and processes that make my business work.

I evaluate all the various steps needed to acquire or perform sales, marketing, products, networking and accounting. I look at each phase of my business individually. I might as an example, take my sales process and break down each step from start to completion and see if it fits my KISS (Keep it Simple and Straightforward) concept.

Then I will move on to each aspect of my business in the same fashion. I try not to forget the mundane or mechanical parts of the business even though they may slip by on some of my brainstorming sessions.
Once you have completed your brainstorming sessions you may want to make priority lists as I mention in my article

When Ya Give, You’re Gonna Receive…Somehow

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

I saw another one.

It was one of those postings that keep popping up all around in forums and discussion groups.

One of those “I made oodles of bucks by doing nothing” messages.

In this case, they actually claimed to gain $86,000 (yep, all those zeroes!) from writing and distributing ONE article. Never mind that it was full of whopping grammatical errors and misspellings, it was obviously(???) magic. Abracadabra.

Incredible as it may sound, this extremely fortunate individual ignored the direct requests of several people, including the forum’s owner and myself, for details of how this miracle occured.

Remember the cricket sounds in the old Bugs Bunny cartoons when it was supposed to be really quiet?
Yeah, that.

That’s a shame for us all, because giving is what it’s actually all about.

Not throwing sales pitches, selling hard or wearing ‘em down over time…giving.

It’s sharing what you know, what’s working, what helps.

And I mean making a habit of it, not throwing little crumbs here and there. No one’ll walk up to you with a big bag of money and say, “Since you were such a good egg, we’ve decided to give you the bacon”.

For instance, I advertise several products on Google Adwords. Some change from season to season or even with the amount of time I want to put into them. There’s one thing that never changes - I keep my copy of The Definative Guide To Google Adwords open each and every second I’m working on any aspect of my Adwords campaigns, referring to it constantly. Why? It’s the best resource available for that stuff and by using it ALL the time, my profits continue to increase.

There’s a killer introductory ecourse that costs zip to give a feel for it, constant updates, helpful teleseminars, etc. It’s awesome!!

Now what if you saw a message from me going crazy over all these smackers I’m making on Adwords campaigns without ever mentioning HOW?!? Would you think I was a good guy? Would you think I was the least bit helpful? Would you think I was just some selfish turkey??

Life is hard. That’s definitely no secret. We need whatever help we can get. As hard as life can be, life in any kind of business, online or off, is even harder. The only ones who are still around tomorrow are the ones who help others.

Helping others is not only right, it’s also appreciated. Making that buck has to be the furthest thing from your mind. When you do right by others, they remember. When they remember, they return. As they continue to return, they develop trust. I could probably break my desk under the weight of everything ever written that advises establishment of a trusting relationship in business. By the way, remind me not to print this out…

We’re all here in this life to help one another anyway. What’s the big deal???

MLM Prospecting-The 7 Key Traits You Look for in a HOT MLM Lead

Monday, February 25th, 2008

MLM Prospecting is a tough business if you do not know who you are looking for, and what they need to succeed in MLM. And it never fails — Time and time again. Over and Over. Just like clockwork. You can almost predict it.

How many times have we been talking to someone, and they sign up, and we get all excited–and we wait. And we wait. And we wait. And then we wait some more, for them to show any true interest in this business. And then we keep waiting till we get discouraged.

Sound familiar? What went wrong? How did we blow it? We spent all that time to recruit them and they don′t do SQUAT! What happened?

INFERNO Secret:

Sometimes we are more interested in recruiting someone than actually qualifying them to see if they really have a chance of success in MLM. Have you ever done that?

INFERNO Secret:

You cannot PUSH a ROPE. “That dog ain’t gonna hunt” is a saying we have here in Dallas. Some “dogs” simply never get off the porch when it comes to taking action in their life!

So what do you do? How can you at least maximize your odds for finding the people who will be “More Likely” to be serious about this MLM business than not? Good Question!

I had the honor of being in the Financial Services industry before I discovered network marketing, and was blessed with being the only person in the history of the agency (92 years) to ever win a fast start award that the company had. I worked hard, and many long hours. But I was shown an amazing secret to defining the right prospects that made a HUGE difference in my success. (Financial Service reps are GREAT prospects for this business!)

A multi-million dollar earner in investments gave me what we call the “7 Star Formula” that defined who was more likely to do business with you than not, and I stuck to it and it worked. I brought it into the MLM business with me and lo and behold it worked great! And I have also now seen it in other places in the industry, so I know it has gotten some play in the marketplace. I cannot remember who authored it, but it’s HOT!

Here it is:

The “7 Star Formula” is the 7 key Traits for the best Potential MLM Prospects you look for in a prospect. It can tell you a lot of how this person will work this business.

INFERNO Secret:

There is NO sure fire formula for this, as the secret to success in this business lies within the HEART. But it will help save you a lot of time that you might have wasted with the “Not Likely” to succeed people.

When you are recruiting folks look for these 7 things–and each one is worth 1 star. Add the stars up after rating a prospect, and the higher the number, the better the candidate.

1) 25 years or older.

2) Married.

3) Has a child.

4) Has a fulltime job.

5) Has a Bank Account.

6) Owns a Home.

7) Can afford to invest a little money in their business.

OK–Why these particular 7 things? Because they show 3 things about the prospect:

1) Solidity in their life

2) Obligation to the future

3) Strong Reasons to do better in Life

INFERNO Secret:

You are looking for the 5’s, 6’s, and 7’s. But if you are talking to a 2 or a 3, well, that is your call, as there are broke people who have come into this industry and done amazing things. But they are the exception. Odds are they won’t do a whole lot in Network Marketing.

If someone is 25 or older, it has been proven that they have taken MLM more seriously as a future. Yes, I know there are exceptions, and the Gen X folks are doing this business, but they are around 25 and up anyway.

If they are married, have kids, are working, own a home, and have a bank account, it shows they are probably MATURE enough to do this MLM business and RESPONSIBLE. These are KEY traits to successful folks in a home business.

Rate each prospect you have with this formula and work first with the ones who are 5-6-7 on the scale, and then call the others. You must call all the folks you know, as they will at least be willing to help you in some way. But understand–there are Potential STARS on your list. You now know how to Define the “More Likely” to succeed that will be really serious about this business. Plus you now know who will be “Less likely” to be interested as well.

Your names you have on your list are your inventory, and you build your success equity in your group with those names. Make sure you choose the inventory “More Likely” to build equity and success in your group, instead of ending up with total frustration and discouragement — in MLM Prospecting and MLM Leads.

Getting Paid To Take Online Surveys In Only 7 Days Or Less

Monday, February 25th, 2008

There are a ton of money scams on the internet today. Sometimes it seems as if get rich quick schemes have taken over the world wide web!

However, just because there are scams are out there, it does not mean that every job on the internet is going to swindle you out of your money. There are still many honest and easy jobs on the internet today, and filling out surveys is one of them. Some people find that surveys have a bad reputation because of the many survey companies that only offer contest entries as a reward.

Most people would find completing surveys for these companies a giant waste of time, and they would be right! Paid surveys are the best option when it comes to this kind of work. Regardless of popular belief, companies that offer paid surveys are out there, and it is as easy as entering an email address to start earning money!

Most people, upon registering with a paid survey company, just sit back and wait for the surveys to come their way. This is not the best way to make more money, and it is these people that give the survey job a bad reputation. The best way to make money is to get involved! These companies always have free profile quizzes for you to take. These quizzes help them to know exactly what type of surveys to send you, and as a result, you receive many more paid surveys that you are actually qualified to complete.

Increase Your Traffic By Building A Home Internet Business With A Human Touch

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Give Your Customers What They Want

“The customer is always right.”

That isn’t news to any of us. But on a practical level it means that if you want to be successful in business you have to keep your customers happy. It isn’t rocket science. Happy customers return again and again. The more happy customers you have the more successful your business.

We are all in such a hurry. The days of hanging around the general store are mostly gone. But we do see snapshots of it in the offline world. Perhaps you know of a pastry shop where the owner knows you by name and gives free samples to the kids. Like me, you may know of a restaurant where the waitress calls you honey and hangs around the table for a little visitin’.

I like these places. Most of us do. They add a little humanity back into our lives. They offer something that this customer wants… a human touch.

The Online World Is No Different

Actually the online world is very different. It moves even faster than our offline world. But essentially people on the internet are looking for the same thing. We want to find a little humanity. That is not to say that the human touch is the main commodity of the internet. Information is.

Let me say that again. What people are looking for on the internet is information. They are not looking for you or your products and services. They are looking for information. They don’t want to be sold. They don’t want to be manipulated into buying something that they really don’t need. They want information.

But how people find information on the internet can make a great deal of difference.

Provide The Information People Want… With A Human Touch

If you had a choice would you rather ask a question of a friend or a stranger? I know it sounds like a silly question. But think about it when you surf the internet. Which websites grab your attention? First they are websites that provide the information you are seeking. But is that enough?

Even on the internet you and I want a human touch. We want to get the right information. But we prefer it from someone we like and trust. We want to talk to an expert who has our best interest at heart. We want to talk to a friend who shares our interests and passions.

What if you built a website like that? What if you were the expert who had your reader’s best interest at heart? What if you were the friend sharing your passions and knowledge with a special subset of the human race?

That kind of website is not about you at all. It is not primarily about getting the sale. It is about giving people what they want in an environment they like. It is about anticipating their needs and providing solutions that will better their lives.

Let me know when you build it. I think I would like to visit.

Greg’s website make-your-own-website-wealth.com make-your-own-website-wealth.com make-your-own-website-wealth.com is committed to helping ordinary people build successful web businesses. The internet provides great opportunities to those who desire to turn their passions into profitable niche websites.

How To Become a Mystery Shopper Working From Home

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Almost everybody I know loves to go shopping. Just look how busy your local mall or shopping center can get. The trouble is it can become an expensive as well as enjoyable habit. But did you know you can get paid to shop?

Have you heard of mystery shopping? Or secret shopping? Some even speak of undercover shopping. Sounds melodramatic, perhaps?

In fact business is estimated to pay around $600 million a year on around 8 million mystery shopper visits, in the USA alone. It’s a big business in most countries. It’s an important part of mainstream business.

Mystery shoppers are paid anonymous visitors to shops, who report on their experience from an independent customer service point of view. They are usually completely unknown to the shop and its staff, to preserve their independence and objectivity. They are often part timers employed by specialist mystery shopping provider companies. There are a large number of these providers. They each maintain large pools of mystery shopping staff they can call on to perform mystery shopping assignments.

Does a mystery shopping job sound interesting to you?

The mystery shopper is given a survey form to complete, which includes a selection of information that is important to the shop’s managers. These are usually measures of service and product quality that the mystery shopper is asked to observe and report. Each business has its own measures, but common ones typically include time spent waiting in a queue, whether staff greeted you upon entering the store, did you get a receipt, were you thanked and invited back, were the staff wearing name tags, and so forth.
Far from being white coated scientists with clip boards and stop watches, they are expected to look and behave just like typical shoppers. They are often asked to make a purchase. That way their experience will be close to that of the average customer in the shop they visit.

A mystery shopping report usually also includes space for comments and suggestions as to how the shop could improve the experience of its customers. A report that includes valuable information from an observant and thoughtful mystery shopper can be very useful, and is likely to earn that person more future assignments.

A typical shop will commission a mystery shopper visit every month or so, more often when in a service improvement phase, and perhaps less frequently when things are going well. Each business takes its own approach. Some prefer instead to interview real customers directly.

Not only retailers use mystery shoppers. Fast food outlets, restaurants, hotels, movie theaters, theme parks, service stations, financial institutions and many other businesses employ variations of this approach to evaluate their service quality performance.

There are many mystery shopper job opportunities for part time work in this very active industry. It may not always be obvious because of the importance of anonymity, but there are mystery shopping jobs available in most towns and cities. It is an especially attractive source of extra money for mothers with family commitments who work from home. But, to be representative, mystery shoppers are required from all walks of life, men as well as women. A small proportion of mystery shoppers, usually in larger cities, can earn a full time income from the work they get. There are professional certification and annual conference opportunities for those who choose to become very involved as mystery shoppers.

Would you like to be a mystery shopper?
