Get Some Help!

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

After spending every free minute over the last few month building your business, things are finally starting to look up. The checks are starting to come in, you are processing more orders, generating more leads, building a large downline etc.

Business is great, but you are also getting busier. Now is the time to think about getting some help with your business as well as around the house. Here are a few ideas to help lighten your workload.

Have someone come in once a week or even every few weeks to clean the house. Just having someone come in every once in a while to give your bathrooms and kitchen a good scrub down, dust through your living room and wash the windows will make your job of keeping the house clean a lot easier and will save you lots of time.

If a professional cleaning service is too expensive, think about hiring a teenager or someone just getting started in the housecleaning business.

Now is also the time to get your spouse and kids involved, if they aren’t already helping around the house. Make it clear that just because you are at home all day, doesn’t mean that you have time to take care of all the chores. You are working and need the other family members to pull their weight.

If your children are still small and not in school yet, you may also want to consider getting some part time help with your kids. You could have someone come in for a few hours a week to keep your kids busy. You can focus on your work and get it out of the way so you’ll be able to spend some quality time with your kids afterwards. A nice option, though pretty expensive is to hire an Au-pair. Your kids will be exposed to someone from a different culture and you are providing this person the opportunity to experience family life in the US.

Other options would be part-time daycare, or have an older child or teen in your neighborhood come in for a few hours a week to keep your kids busy while you work.

Don’t forget to get some help with your business either. Think about what you enjoy and what you don’t enjoy doing. Do you thread having to deal with the accounting end of things? Does the thought of doing your taxes make you nauseous? Just have someone else take care of it. Get an accountant to prepare your financial statements and your taxes .Hire a Virtual Assistant to help you with your invoicing, inventory tracking, following up with customers etc . Get someone else to make Cold Calls for you and follow up with anyone that shows interest in your business.

You may even find someone who is interested in the same business you are in and would love to work with you to gain experience. You can pay them hourly or work out a commission.

Now is the time to prioritize. Take care of what you enjoy and what’s really important and delegate the rest. Always remember why you got into this in the first place. Wasn’t it to spend more time with your kids, to enjoy seeing them grow up and to provide your family with a higher quality of life.

Stay organized, but don’t sweat the small stuff. Let someone else worry about it.

Take the time to enjoy the rewards you have worked so hard for and have some fun.

Network Marketing (MLM): It’s All About the Numbers!

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

As more and more MLM companies keep sprouting up, I often wonder just how many millions of people around the world are “shooting for the stars″ with some bright, new MLM start-up only to end up wallowing in the mud a few short months later - poorer than when they started and completely disgusted with network marketing altogether.

It’s really too bad. In many ways, multi-level marketing is a terrific business model and really does provide a fairly simple and straight-forward road to success. Problem is, most people getting into an MLM (for the first or FIFTY first time) are taking so many little detours they don’t even know how to get back to the main road to success.

You see, the road to success with MLM is really quite simple. It’s all about the numbers.

Now, before you start tying the noose to hang me from the nearest oak tree, please allow me to explain that seemingly dehumanizing statement.

I am not, in any way, suggesting that MLM is not about people or relationships or mutual support and respect. It is about all of those things and more. But, quite frankly, if a person is really going to make any serious money with network marketing, all of that has to occur on the “backend”. On the “front-end”, it’s really all about the numbers and how you work them.

In simplest terms, the more people you can present with your products and opportunity (in an effective way), the more people you’re likely to sponsor into your organization and the more money you’re going to make. Simple as that. So, every member of your MLM downline has to have an effective way of introducing their business and products to the largest audience possible (with the least amount of time/money requirement - since most of them will start their MLM business with very little of either to invest).

THAT is the key. It doesn’t really matter how great your dealer training system is, how pretty your replicated websites are, how efficient your email autoresponder system is, how nice and helpful your downline members are or how good your products are IF you don’t have a steady flow of new people to introduce to the business and the products. There is just no getting around this fact of business. Without a continuous stream of potential new customers and distributors ANY business is dead in the water. MLM is no different.

Of course, once people are IN your group, then comes all of the relationship stuff. You have to make sure that new people coming in feel connected to the group, and personally connected to at least one or two members of the group (preferably, their sponsor first). There should be plenty of encouragement and training available (online, via conference calls, possibly via a start-up kit of some sort and through email/phone communication with the sponsor). Most new dealers in your group will not be successful without those things in place.

BUT, you still have to focus on the numbers. Get your product and business opportunity in front of as many people as possible. If you can target specific groups that may be more likely to have an interest in your products, great. If not, it’s not the end of the world. At the end of the day, it’s about how many new people you can bring into your downline who will actually purchase product and promote the business. Whether it requires you to present your products and/or business 1000 times to some generic group of prospects, or 100 times to a highly targeted group of prospects doesn′t much matter unless the costs and/or time investment is significantly higher with one or the other.

Just remember to focus on the numbers. Design a system or join a system that makes it possible to get your products and/or opportunity in front of lots of people without having to break the bank doing it. Obviously, advertising costs money, but it doesn′t have to put you into debt up to your eyeballs. Be careful how much you spend, be consistent in what you spend and always track what you spend vs what you make so you can weed out bad marketing and focus on the productive marketing.

Work At Home Money Management Tips

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

One of the hardest things about working at home is most likely the funds management. Sometimes it is hard to make ends meet even when you make a decent amount of money. Many times a person may feel as if they are not making any money working from home. When the money comes in at different times it is hard to feel like you are making headway.

When you get a paycheck on a regular basis it becomes easier to manage your money. You know exactly how much money you will have and exactly when you will be getting it.You know that most of that money will be going to bills.

You may start to wonder how and when you will be able to pay your bills when you don’t know when your money will be coming. It’s only natural to worry about funds and people who work from home are not an exception. There are some common problems you may avoid while trying to manage your finances.

One of the hardest things to avoid is spending money as it arrives. Many people who work at home are not fortunate enough to have regular funds in the mail, especially if they are just starting out. Sometimes money may come in at various times and when it does come it may be in small amounts. Save those small payments when they come in instead of spending them on things you don’t need. If you are not careful you will be stuck in a repeating cycle.

Send your checks directly to the bank if possible. Pace yourself to save everything you make for at least a week. After you pay your bills figure out how much money you have left and continue to save.

When it feels like you are not making money keep a list of what does come in. You may be surprised to see how well you are doing.

Receiving tax statements at the end of the year is a good way to see how much or little you have made. Your records will also show how well or how bad your business is doing. You may wish to try better tactics to make your business grow.

Keeping records is probably the most difficult part of money management for home based businesses. Since you will probably be paying taxes on your income, don′t overlook the potential deductions. Early in the year make an appointment with a tax professional to find out what expenses will be deductible. If you use your home as an office you will be able to write off some of your household expenses. You can deduct part of your rent and your internet if you need it for your business.

You need a good filing system to help with money management. It is very important to keep receipts and all records of transactions.

It might be a good idea to set up a business account. This will help you to keep better records of your transactions. You may use your bank statements as proof of income. Setting up a business account will help if you decide to take out a business loan.

Don’t be passive about keeping records and doing some of the things mentioned above. If you are then you may never feel like you’re getting any money. You will always feel like you are behind and you will not know how much you are making.

You must be patient and diligent in order to be good at managing your money. You may find it easier not to keep track of your records, but in the end you’ll wish you had. It is very important to keep your paperwork and keep track of what you do.

9 to 5 - Or Whenever You Want

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

Millions of people are waking up to a job they hate. They are forced to wake up early and commute through stressful traffic. They work long hours, and have little free time. Why? Money. The world revolves around money. You need money to pay the bills, buy grocery, and buy the things you love. But is the 9 to 5 job the only answer? Of course not. With the continuing increase of technology and the internet, there has been tremendous growth in the options people have today. People can now shop online instead of at a store, chat online instead of on the phone, and even work online instead of at a place where you are underappreciated.

Many people have realized this trend and taken advantage of it before others do. By being a part of the internet they have tapped into a market of millions of potential customers. Obviously they do not have a million people running to them, but even a small percentage of the internet population poses a significant opportunity. One of the most popularized business opportunities on the internet is selling products on the internet. Although this is a great way to make money, selling can be products can be difficult. There is also the added trouble of holding inventory and shipping the items to your customers. One of the newest business opportunities online is online marketing. Millions of people are working hard only to have people above them receive the profits, they their worked generated. With the growth of the internet more and more people are taking the opportunity to market online and receive the profits of their hard labor. There are dozens of great websites and programs that will take the average person and teach them how to be successful online through a step-by-step process.

Some even have live help where experienced marketers can provide advice to new members of the program. Unfortunately, there have also been some people creating marketing programs and guides that are actually scams. The key is to find an opportunity where you can receive advice and guidance. Too many sites leave people to fend for themselves. With millions, if not billions, of people surfing the web everyday, there is great potential for you to make good income from your very own home.

Common Sense Tips For Starting A Home Business

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

In this article I am going to go over the monumental task of setting up and running a home based business. With all the mounds of information and misinformation that’s out there I am not going to beat this subject to death because it has already been through the ringer and rung out. There is very little left to say on the subject that hasn’t already been said and everyone has their opinions but very few people who have actually had any success give their opinions and tips freely. That’s why they are successful. They sell the information and it is up to each consumer to determine whether or not the seller is being truthful.

So this article will NOT try to sell anything. It will just give you some good common sense things to look out for and to do when attempting to run a home based business. This info is free. I hope it helps you some.

For starters, if you are going to start a home based business don’t start one because you think it will make you a lot of money. Start a business because you are interested in what you will be doing. If your interests are music and you’re an accomplished guitarist then maybe you might want to write a book about learning the guitar at home and selling it online. It’s not as hard to do as you might think. You just need to learn the avenues of advertising that are most effective. There are plenty of places online that will teach you that for free, this being one of them

Treat your business like a real job. Don′t do it when you feel like. Do it everyday. Get into a routine and try not to deviate from it. If you have a full time job and can only dedicate evening hours to the business then pick a time each evening to do so and stick to that schedule you’ve made for yourself. If you do it only when you feel like it you’re not going to be very successful because you won′t get into a routine conducive to success.

Try not to let outside things distract you. I know if you′re married and have kids this is hard to do. Life does get in the way of things and at times it’s unavoidable but try to keep distractions to a minimum. Pick a time and a place to deal with those things outside your business so that when the time comes to concentrate on your business it is the only thing that is in front of you.

Finally, whatever is involved with your business as far as record keeping or important passwords, things of that nature, make sure that your computer is NOT the only place this information is stored. Computers crash and if you don’t have backups or written copies you are going to lose a lot of information that you won’t be able to duplicate easily. You might want to get a safety deposit box to keep important papers.

Tips for Finding the Right Network Marketing Home Business

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Network Marketing is also known as Multi-Level Marketing or MLM for short. If you are just starting out or thinking about getting into network marketing then this article is for you. There are certain things to look for in a network marketing home business that will help keep you from choosing a bad opportunity and certain failure. Let’s get some bad news out of the way right now… Most businesses, both online and offline, fail within their first five years and the same holds true for network marketing home businesses. But if you find a good network marketing opportunity and know how to work your business the right way, it can be best business in the world!

Below I have given some tips for you to help in finding a good network marketing business so you can get a head start on your home business success:

A good network marketing opportunity will allow you to start with little cost. You should avoid programs that have high sign-up fees and expensive frontloading where you have to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars just to get started. Do not get involved in a network marketing business where you have to buy your way to the top of the pay plan, purchase large volumes of product to qualify for your check, or have to stock inventory yourself. Stay away from any opportunity requiring you to do those things.

Do not be lured in by outrageous claims such as, “get rich quick” or “easy money″ or “make money with no work” or any other ridiculous hype. In network marketing it is possible to have people placed below you without having to do much, as long as your upline is doing a lot of work and your compensation plan is a forced matrix or power leg binary. This is called spillover, but you can′t count on getting rich, or even making any money at all, from spillover. Anyone joining with that expectation will be very disappointed. Even worse, don′t ever get involved with a network marketing company that is offering a business opportunity with no product or service to sell other than the opportunity. These are called pyramid schemes and you need to stay far away from them! Always, thoroughly research any company before you join.

Marketing, sales and distribution are the backbone of business. Most of us are more familiar with direct sales. This is where the products of a company are promoted by a salesperson who receives a percentage of the money made from each sale as commission. That is the basic traditional sales approach. The salesperson may also be paid an hourly wage or a salary, or even paid per lead as long as they meet a certain sales quota, but the source of income for the business is always sales driven.

Network marketing has proven to be a much better way in most cases, both for the companies and their product distributors or salespeople. You are still selling a product or service for the company but you also are looking for people who want to do what you are doing, which is selling the company’s products and making money doing it. You are building a team and that helps the company’s sales and earnings because they get more and more people selling for them. The company gains many new distributors and in return you get paid not only on your own sales, but also on the new distributor’s sales as well.

That is why it’s called, “Multi-Level Marketing” or MLM. Because when the distributor you brought in on your first level brings in another new distributor for the company, you also get paid from the work of that new person. If that new seller on your second level brings in someone else, then you have a third level, and so on. You can have a team building under you, making sales for you, making money for you, and it can all be happening without any extra effort on your part! The payment plans in MLM typically include binary, breakaway, matrix, stair-step, and unilevel.

Network marketing is about referring and soft selling. You shouldn’t have to give people the hard sell to be successful. You simply use the company’s product or service and recommend it to others. It helps a lot if you are passionate about it and truly believe in it. Most company’s will provide marketing resources such as; websites, sales letters, ebook, brochures, recruiting calls, recorded messages, flash movie presentations, DVDs, CD’s, free samples, magazines, etc… They should be persuasive materials that put forth the benefits of the product or service to the prospect without having too much hype, and should also include plenty of testimonials.

The company should have a valuable and desired product or service that people will really want to purchase. It should be good enough that people would buy it even if there wasn’t a compensation plan attached to it. It’s also better if the product is unique and manufactured by the company itself. You want the service to be a continuing monthly service or the product to be a consumable one, so that you get recurring purchases every month and a residual income from each customer.

As a network marketer you will not just be making one-time sales, you will be building a residual income that keeps coming in month after month, year after year. After enough time and effort you should be able to work less and earn more. It is the perfect way to build a retirement income. And the company you join up with should ideally be debt free and have been in business for at least 5 years, so that you know it is solid and will be around for the long haul.

After you have found a network marketing opportunity possessing the qualities listed above, you then present the business opportunity and the product to as many people as possible. You can do this a number of ways, including: article marketing, ezines, blogs, websites, joint ventures, coops, classifieds, advertising online and offline, buying leads, talking to your warm market, forums, PPC’s, word of mouth, fliers, and pretty much any other way you can think of to get your business opportunity and product in front of interested people.

There you go! Now it’s time to get out there and find a solid network marketing opportunity for you and spend your time getting it in front of as many targeted prospects as you can. Treat it like the real business it is and you will go far. In a couple years you should be working much less but still enjoying a full-time residual income that grows all the time.

Make Easy Money At Home - But Don’t Make It Hard

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

How many people do you know that can make easy money at home? I know quite a few, and I think I’ve managed to distill the unique characteristics of these people that separate them from the people that can’t make easy money at home.

Success is a choice, and it happens after taking action. The simpler business plans you can come up with, the better, because a simple to follow plan (backed up by solid market niche research of course) makes it easier to execute. And that is what separates the people capable of making easy money at home from the ones who can’t.

For some reason people make it hard on themselves and it gets to a point that they freeze themselves and end up doing nothing. Then of course they aren’t able to make easy money at home since they aren’t doing anything at all!

It’s very easy to find a simple plan to follow that guides you step by step to making easy money at home. I could give you 50 business plans like that, but most of you would fail simply because you failed to execute them. Don’t complicate things by trying to build the perfect plan, you will only manufacture a climate of fear that will make it much more difficult for you to take action.

Another problem is the fear of failure. Successful people have no concept of failure, nor should you. Every goal that is not achieved is simply an experience from which to learn something that can be applied to your next endeavor.

To make easy money at home is not hard. Don’t overcomplicate your business plans and don’t think about failure. Success is a decision you make, and so is the ability to make easy money at home.

What if You Could Design the Best MLM Pay Plan

Monday, October 29th, 2007

Here is the Challenge. You need to design an MLM Pay that will appeal to the Builders (Heavy Hitters) as well as the average person. Would you use a Unilevel, a Binary, a Forced Matrix or perhaps a Hybrid of all the above.

Here is a strong candidate for the Best MLM Pay Plan Ever Built. It combines a Unilevel (To appeal to the Builder). A 2×20 Forced Matrix with the Possibility of Infinity Bonuses (to Appeal to the average Joe), Fast Start Bonuses and Infinity Bonuses on the entire organization.

Now let’s examine each part in a little more detail

The Forced Matrix

A 2×20 Forced Matrix is really the best of a Binary combined with the Best of a Forced Matrix. Unlike a Binary you earn money on both legs each and every month. Since a full 2×20 Matrix would have over 2 Million People for 99% of your membership it might as well be an Infinite deep Pay plan.

The Unilevel

You could pay a Sponsor bonus each and every month to Directly to the sponsor or you could create an Infinite wide 3 Deep Unilevel matrix where you pay 1/3 of the sponsor bonus on each level. So Instead of paying $3 to the sponsor (If You sponsor 10 People you earn $30 Monthly), you pay $1 on each level for 3 Levels (So if you Sponsor 10 who sponsor 10 each who sponsor 10 each (You Earn 1,110 a Month).

Fast Start Bonus

You would of course pay a Fast Start Bonus.

Infinity Bonus

Use the Breakage generated by the Forced Matrix and Unilevel to pay an Infinity Bonus based on Production. This would allow team members to earn on the Entire Organization not just on their own Team.

More Fun Extra’s

Now Imagine if you could have
A Mortgage Bonus
A Vacation Bonus
A Car Bonus
Advertising Co-Op Bonus Pool
Special Awards Bonus Pool
A $200,000 Down Payment Bonus toward your Dream House Bonus

Now If you could only find a program with the above pay structure at an Affordable with a product everyone Wants, Nirvana, Sheer Nirvana.

Taking the Vampire Out of Online MLM Business Networking

Monday, October 29th, 2007

You just got started with a new online MLM business and you want to tell everyone online about it. So, you sign up for all kinds of message boards, email groups and other business networking websites.

Before you do anything, please realize that you are dealing with REAL PEOPLE. The Internet seems like this anonymous place where you might feel people won’t really notice you if you engage in any vampirish behavior, but realize that the Internet is no different than dealing with people offline.

Treat people with respect, get to know them first and you’ll have plenty of valuable contacts for your business. No, most probably won’t join your business opportunity, but they will teach you a lot about business, will refer others to you and will be a great asset to your business – even if they never buy a thing from you.

Some Online Networking No-Nos:

- Sending private messages or emails about your business opportunity or products to another member is in poor taste. If you want to contact someone privately because you feel you have something in common, go for it, but don’t recruit or sell.

- When you introduce yourself on a networking group, it’s usually okay to say what you do…but don’t invite people to check out your website or say that you are looking for new customers or recruits.

- Even if a message board or networking group allows you to post ads in certain places or on certain days, don’t bother if you’re new. Get to know the group first and then they’ll be more interested your offers.

When you have a new business, it can be stressful and you feel pressure to get results. The important thing to remember is that results come from building long-term relationships and not from preying on online networking groups.

Don’t suck the blood out of all your prospects and people who can connect you with potential prospects before you even get started.

The Vampire Slayer is dedicated to exposing MLM’ers who prey on networking groups with shameless self-promotion. Her ultimate goal is to turn blood-suckers into great online business owners at MLMVampires.com MLMVampires.com
