Try Again

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. You have probably heard this many times. If you are anything like me, you may have put this mantra in the back of your mind. Will you do something for me? Right now say aloud “If at first I do not succeed, I will try, try again.”

Now think about the challenges in your life. More importantly, look at the areas in your life where you have experienced disappointment and failure. List them, one by one, and decide if those particular things are still important to you.

I have found that many of the issues that caused us much pain, embarrassment and aggravation are not worth it in the long run.
That list that is important to you will likely be shorter than the one you started with. Most likely, the items you removed as no longer important to you can now be seen as learning experiences that helped you mature. Look at what is important to you now, in this moment, that you still want to accomplish. These are the things you should try again.

I have come to believe that there is often an up side to our failures and frustration. There is an upside to not getting what we want when we want it. Negatives can sometimes become positives if we learn from our mistakes and learn our own limitations. Many of our most humbling stumbles and falls have in hindsight become fodder for laughter and personal growth.

You see, it is by trying and failing, standing up and falling down, getting praise and ridicule, that helps us to grow stronger and defines our character. What looks like a failure in that moment becomes a rich learning experience you can build upon and share with others.

You may not have gotten much of what you want in life, but now is the time to try again. You may feel you need more education or training in a specific area of expertise. Try again. You may have tried to start a business once, or many times before, but if you really want it - TRY AGAIN!

The Price of Home-Based Business Success

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

Everything you choose in life comes with a price. Everything is negotiable and it all boils down to what you’re willing to pay for what you want.

You have certain values and those values determine what you’re willing to give in exchange to honor them. For example, if spending time with your children is one of your top values, you will say yes to certain things and no to certain things, always keeping in mind the impact your decisions will have on your ability to be with your children.

The same goes for running a home-based business. If you are truly committed to building a business that will allow you to honor your values and live the life you envision for yourself, you must be willing to pay a price, and the price for home-based business success is discipline.

Whether you choose to pay it or not is entirely up to you, however, it is important to realize that whether you do or don’t pay this particular price, you will pay a price nonetheless.

When you choose a life or goal that asks a certain price and you decide not to pay what is required, you are still making a decision that has a corresponding price. Even when you are not taking action, you are making a decision and the price associated to not following through on your dream is much heavier … you pay the price of regret.

Freedom, happiness and financial security are the byproducts of running a successful home business you love, yet in order to succeed as a home-based business owner, you will be required to live your life in a way that requires strict discipline and continuous action.

You will be required to:

· structure your days and be guarded of your time – this means not letting time stealing people interrupt your day with phone calls or by dropping in at your home

· create specific “business hours″ and commit to them – it’s so easy to say yes to invitations from friends or family when asked to join them for lunch or to run a few errands in town

· get up and get going – when you don′t have a clock to punch or a boss to answer to, you can easily become lenient in your approach to getting your day started

· be mindful of overdoing things – if you already have a tendency to be a workaholic, the scales can easily be tipped to a great imbalance between your work and home/personal/social life

· do things that are uncomfortable – entrepreneurship is about learning and growing which means going out of your comfort zone and being willing to make mistakes

· create new habits and new ways of thinking – you will be required to shift from an employee to entrepreneur mindset and this requires an open mind and a willingness and commitment to learn from mentors and experts on an ongoing basis

· change the books you read, programs you watch and people you spend your time with – your financial status is the average of those you spend most of your time with

The greatest rewards in life come with a price that is corresponding in nature.

Work is required as well as a willingness to become a different person. The good news is when you choose a home business that is in alignment with your values and passion, it doesn’t seem like work, but an adventure – and you learn to recognize discipline as your ally instead of your opponent.

Take some time to review your current activities and answer honestly whether or not you are as disciplined as you need to be or can be. Can you improve on your behaviors, implement new structures, modify activities?

Sure, you may like the fact you can sleep in an hour longer and take a two-hour lunch, but realistically, what impact does that have on your productivity and potential for business success?

If you’re willing to pay the price of discipline particularly during the early stages of building your business, you efforts will be rewarded a hundredfold.

In the final analysis, remember – discipline weighs ounces. Regret weighs tons.

Which price are you willing to pay?

The Pros and Cons To Starting Your Very Own Online Ebook Store

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

If you’ve ever considered to start an online ebook store,
but for any reason have been hesitant to do so because your
not certain whether this is for you or not, I have written
this brief article with over 3 years experience as an ebook
store owner to help you see what all is involved and to try
and help you make the decision whether or not this is for
you.

Here are just a few of the Pros
and Cons that can help you make an educated decision about starting such a venture.

Pros

1) You’re In Control – Depending on your daily schedule you get to decide when and how often to work on your new store.

2) Choosing A Name For Your Book Store – Much of the pleasure with starting any kind of business is getting to name it. Just make
sure to choose a catchy name that’s easy to remember for potential and returning customers.

3) No Inventory – Unlike traditional paper bound books an
ebook does not take up book shelf space. All you need is a
reliable web hosting company to upload your files and images
to and you’ll never have to dust a cover or package them in
a box because their all kept on a computer hard drive ready
to be downloaded when a customer completes the checkout
process.

4) Brandable – Many ebooks can be branded with personal
information such as website URL’s and email addresses so
that if a customer likes what you have to offer the links
that can direct them back to your website or to your contact
information can be found inside the book itself.

5) No Store Hours – Unlike a traditional book store your
business online never closes allowing you to have your
products ready for sale 24 hours a day and 7 days a
week. Also your potential customer base is not limited to
just the town you live in, but to anyone in the world that has a computer

6) Earning Potential - Now don’t take this the wrong way…….
Unless you know some top secret way to convince people that
your product is far superior to all others there is no
guarantee that you’ll be able to leave your full time job in
order to sell ebooks as a primary income. Although, over the
years I have found ebooks as a nice “compliment” to my full
time job earnings.

This doesn’t mean that making a living selling ebooks is not
possible. As a fact many people who have sold ebooks with
reseller rights or have found a high demand yet low
competitive niche subject to write their own ebook about
have been quite successful indeed.

Cons

1) Taxes – No matter what type of business you run, it is
very important that you keep track of ALL expenses and
earnings so that when taxes are due you will have
everything you need to provide your tax preparation service
with.

2) Operation Fees - Even though the costs will be far less
than owning and renting a retail store filled with paper
books, there are some expenses you will have with an online
ebook store to deal with.

For example: You will want to accept credit cards on your
site. Most credit card processors only charge a one-time
setup fee and then only charge a percentage of each sale you
make thereafter.

You will also need a place to store your files and pictures
on the internet so that they can be retrieved for viewing by
potential customers. For this you will need a web hosting
service. These can be set up for once-a-month billing all
the way to once-a-year billing. It all depends on your
hosting companies package deals.

3) Marketing – In order to make sales people must find you.
A few ways to market your items for sale range from search
engine placement, paid advertising, link swapping, joint
ventures and article writing. Marketing can prove to be a
tough process, but is very necessary for the success of your
business.

4) Web Site Setup/Design – This may be considered an
enjoyable thing by some people, but unless you hire a web
design company to create a themed layout for you and if
you’re not familiar with web site design this can be a time
consuming process.

On the other hand, by doing the web site work yourself can
prove to be an excellent opportunity to learn about web site
design and management so that you can add or delete pages
at any time you feel necessary.

Hopefully this article has convinced you that
ebooks are definitely a great product to start a business with.

Just keep in mind that with any business in order
to be successful it is a wise choice to write up a business plan to chart your course and once up and running you must push through all the ups and downs and never give up.

Work From Home, Dream or Reality?

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

Lets get the cliché “Why work 9-5 when you can Work From Home and be your own
Boss” out of the way! This is obvious and doesn′t need any more discussion.

What a nice concept Working From Home is, but is it possible?
Of course it is or nobody would by talking about it! Don’t get the wrong idea, just
because there isn’t a boss checking in on you doesn’t mean you get to sit around all
day in your PJ’s and drink coffee. Working From Home takes commitment and
dedication for the same reason there is no one other than you making sure you do
all the right things to succeed!

If you think you can Make Money Working From Home in your spare time you are
greatly mistaken. Spare time is something few people have in todays busy world. So
does this mean I need to quit my Job to start a “Work From Home Business”? That is
not what I’m saying, but you will have to allocate at least 5-10 hours minimum per
week and it may take a while to achieve your desired income level. Persistence is the
key!

What can you do to take your desire to Work From Home and make it a reality?

1. You need to find the right “Work From Home Business” for you. Don’t
just jump at
the first decent looking offer you see.
2. Dedicate a specific amount of time per week that you will pursue your
“Work
From Home Business” and have a realistic time frame to achieve your goals. Getting
Rich Quick can take some time.
3. Be prepared to make a small investment in some/all of the
following:
-eBooks
-Web Traffic Marketing Sites
-Pay Per Click (PPC)
-Affiliate Program Memberships
-Website Hosting Fees

Just because you have a “Work From Home Business” doesn’t mean there won’t be
any overhead. I strongly suggest you take advantage of the knowledge that is
available from other profitable “Work From Home” Entrepreneurs successes and
failures rather then trying to figure them out on your own.

You can either Pay for this knowledge or learn it on your own, it will cost you in time
or money, you decide what your time is worth! In most cases the money you invest
can be made back with only a few sales, would you rather start selling now or
months from now.

Thinking about having a “Work From Home Business” will not make it happen!
Taking the first steps and setting a realistic game plan that includes a portion of
your time and yes “your money too” can very realistically make you the Boss of your
own “Work From home Business”.

Here is some advice to help you get started.
By placing an article like the one you are reading now, it not only generates traffic
from people clicking on the Authors Link to their Website, but it also makes their
Website
ranking higher on Search engines like Google.

Are you wondering how all of this would benefits someone and why would they
spend time
giving this information out free to people like you who are reading this article right
now?

It’s so simple!
All you do is write an Ezine Article on something that pertains to your Website and
then make sure you have corresponding products or services that are relevant to
that Article.

When readers go to your Website as a result of your Ezine Article it is highly
plausible they may decide to purchase a Product or Service from you. In many cases
the Products or Services are Affiliate based which means the Website owner makes
as much as 75% from each sale, not bad!

As a matter of fact I learned this concept and many more steps from similar
Work From
Home Business
that can be purchased. (Good Investment!!!)

You are more then welcome to republish this article on your Website as long as you
use it in it’s entirety along with the link to my Website.

Work At Home Jobs

Friday, March 30th, 2007

The best thing about working from home is that a person can live anywhere in the world and still be able to perform duties for a company, thousands of miles away. Many companies are hiring home workers, as it is beneficial for both parties. The company stands to gain as typically the compensation is based on achievement of tasks. Home workers benefit as they have the flexibility to work from home and yet earn a good sum of money.

Research has proved that children do better emotionally, socially and academically, when a parent is at home. When people work from home, it is possible to arrange the work schedule to fit within their commitments to the family. Professions such as billing, bookkeeping, web design, graphic art, administration and edition can be pursued from home.

Many national level companies are discovering that it’s more economical for them to hire people from home rather than absorbing the high costs of large offices and the related costs of employing a large work force.

It is becoming increasingly common for many professionals such as illustrators, system analysts, claims processors, artists, system engineers and programmers to work from home. A home-based work system allows people to find time and develop their skills in their spare time. Time management is important though as a home based worker shouldn’t lose focus on the work because of the flexibility of working from home.

Finding a home- based job is easy in the age of the Internet. It is possible to access job offers through the internet or advertisements in magazines. Job sites display work-at-home employment listings from companies all across the world. The greatest benefit of home-based jobs is that people no longer have to work for a boss. Many people who leave their job out of frustration end up being self-employed and working from home, either by choice or by circumstance.

7 Points to be Considered Before Starting an Online Business

Friday, March 30th, 2007

It is a pleasure to have one’s own internet business and earn from home. More and more people are getting into online jobs and home business to work and earn at their leisure time and lead the life they would love, without having to go through daily the mad rush of commuting to their office. They also feel that by working for others they are not paid by their employers for what they are worth.

The number of women coming into online business is increasing tremendously day by day becuase they feel they can work at home comfortably with their kids around which helps them manage both the job and house together.

However, before setting your mind on an internet business, it is always better to consider certain points. Then you can avoid a lot of mental strain caused due to your ignorance.

1. Real interest - Ask youself whether you have a real interest to work on the computer. Computer knowledge can be gained, but interest should come from one’s own mind.

2. Determination - Ask yourself whether you have a strong determination to succeed online. There are millions of people who have chosen computer as their money making machine.

3. Basic internet knowledge - Before starting an online venture you should possess basic internet knowledge such as to browse the web, to open an email account, to send emails and open your email etc. I know without that much knowledge you would’nt have reached here to read this article.

4. Time - The next important point is whether you have enough time to spend with your computer or not. The more time you can spend the faster your business will grow.

5. Finance - Then comes the finance. You must be ready to spend from your own pocket for the monthly internet bills for accessing the net and for advertising, until you start getting the profit from your business. The earlier you learn the faster you will make money, like any other business.

6. Patience - You cannot expect to get your account filled over night or within few days. Don’t get frustrated for not seeing the fruits of your hardwork within your expected time, and give it up. Go forward until you find the desired results. You need patience to work hard and learn about your business and its promotion.

7. Finding a mentor - Spend time to find a proper mentor who can help you to succeed. It will help you immensely to avoid many silly mistakes otherwise you would be making. A mentor can be someone from the net or locally. I am not telling without a mentor’s help you cannot succeed at all. But it takes a longer time and more expenses to learn through trials and errors.

Infopreneuring: The Ideal Business?

Friday, March 30th, 2007

Infopreneuring, or information marketing, gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to feed the information-hungry masses worldwide, and achieve their own financial freedom in the process. Since the advent of the Internet in the early 1990s, people all over the planet have jumped aboard the information superhighway, driven by an insatiable desire and thirst for knowledge. They’re looking for answers, for jobs, for solutions to problems, for long-lost relatives, and for just plain information. This means explosive growth for the infopreneuring industry.

By a stroke of good fortune, the Information Age has serendipitously coincided with the Enron era and corporate downsizing. Entrepreneurs, small business owners, and anyone who has searched unsuccessfully for a legitimate work-at-home business opportunity can now realize the future of their dreams. All it takes is a computer, an Internet connection, a little creativity, some ingenuity, and a lot of motivation.

More than mere rhetoric, the infopreneuring phenomenon is a reality. Witness the infopreneuring empires built by Allan Gardyne of Associate Programs and Ken Evoy of SiteSell fame. These are world-renowned Internet gurus who have achieved enormous online success, not by ripping people off with “get-rich-quick” schemes, but by selling marketing tools and information about true-to-life business models that work for real people in the real world. For every “info guru” you hear about, there are probably dozens more out there you haven’t heard about–all happily securing their futures by selling their own infoproducts.

For small business owners and entrepreneurs across the globe struggling to keep their businesses alive, infopreneuring could provide the income infusion needed to rehabiliate their anemic growth. For business start-ups, an infopreneuring enterprise could be ideal. The benefits include:

Low start-up costs
Low overhead
Selling to a global market
Less time-for-money tradeoff
More financial freedom
Consistent passive revenue
Work from anywhere capability
Creating a lasting legacy

Offline businesses can also benefit by:

Replacing paper promotions
Adding multiple income streams
Selling wares online to supplement offline sales

This doesn′t mean there’s no work involved. As with any legitimate business, infopreneuring requires commitment and motivation. But it is fairly simple to start up. By following a step-by-step process that begins with brainstorming topics, then researching the market to find out if your ideas have profitability potential, you can easily begin building your “brand of one” by producing basic infoproducts such as Tips Booklets and eReports. These will help establish you as an expert in your field. Later you can progress to audio and video products, such as teleclasses and Webinars.

The start-up costs are minimal because your products are created, and delivered, digitally. No inventory, no storage, no shipping costs. You can see why the infopreneur’s motto: “Create once, sell many” makes infopreneuring so attractive. Once you’ve got your infoproducts produced and your marketing mechanisms in place, you no longer have to sell your time for money. You control your business–it doesn′t control you.

Laying the foundation for an infopreneuring business means–you guessed it, obtaining information–educating yourself on what market need your infoproducts can fill, how to package your knowledge, and what marketing methods will work best for selling your goods. Once you’ve established yourself as the “go to″ person in your area of expertise, it’s only a matter of adding additional revenue-generating streams to your lineup. These can include affiliate marketing, selling ads on your website or in your ezine, using Google AdSense, creating a subscription-based website, and entering into joint ventures that expand your reach into similar, but differently targeted, markets.

Although it may appear to be a complex process at first glance, infopreneuring is actually a simple business model that takes less time and effort to start up than most other businesses. Of course, it may not be the ideal business FOR everyone, but it is definitely do-able BY anyone. Explore your options and see if infopreneuring is right for you. It might just be the ticket you′ve been looking for to gain your own financial freedom.

Working From Home: Can It Really Be Done?

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

Is it really possible to break free of the nine till five and run your own business from home? If you are reading this there is a good chance you are one of the thousands of folks out there how have just that dream. The dream of not fighting the rush hour traffic every day and commuting only as far as your spare room. Chances are that you will have seen all those adds on the internet that promise untold riches and home business success within a few months. You may even have taken a stab at some of those programs and even bought an ebook or two into the bargain. I bet that even after all that your dreams are still just that. Dreams and nothing else.

You are not alone though so don′t feel too bad about it. There is a huge community of bottom feeding scamsters out there who feed off dreamers like yourself making a pile of cash selling worthless programs and ebooks. I am not saying that you shouldn′t have dreams in fact to the conterery, I am a firm believer in the power of dreams as the main driving force to home business success. The problem is that succeeding in the home business industry is never easy but it is totally possible if you are determined enough. Although the majority of folks who start out in pursuit of their home business dreams never make it plenty of people do in fact succeed.

The question that baffles so many for so long is why? Why do some succeed whilst so many others fail? Perhaps the successful ones have found some secret formula for home business success or maybe they just got lucky. O.K. lets hold it right here! There is no secret to home business success and as far as I can tell luck doesn’t come into the equation. If you are looking for the secrets of success in working from home just keep pouring your money down the cyber toilet straight into those scamsters bank accounts. If you are waiting to “get lucky” spend your home business start up funds on the lottery because you stand as much chance of winning as you do being visited by lady luck in business. Every successful business person has learnt one essential rule, you make your own luck. In other words you create opportunities for success by your own positive actions.

So if it’s not luck or some secret formula what is it that separates the men from the boys in home business success? Well it isn’t something most people want to hear that’s for sure. Just going off at a tangent here for a minute, have you noticed how a lot of people ask for advice but refute it if it’s not what they want to hear? It’s no different with home business, some folks want you to show them the secret formula of home business success and how to make thousands of dollars in ninety days. If you can’t they will just go off looking for someone who will tell them what they want to hear and keep throwing money to the scamers until there is none left.

Just about anyone can succeed in home business if they have two things. Consistence and persistence or as I like to say “be consistently persistant″ if you truly want to succeed in home based business. The other thing that also comes with the territory is hard work and lots of it. I have said many times before, there are no free lunches or get rich schemes only hard work. It’s the law of the universe every action has a reaction and you will only ever get out commiserate with that which you first put in. If you truly wish to realize your dreams of home business success be prepared for the long haul, do something consistent every day towards the benefit of your business and most of all be patient. Be Successful!
