Why Go Into Business From Your Home?

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

There are many different types of home based business opportunities to consider, if you are pursuing this way of earning a living. There are so many options available out there. Finding the one that fits your needs is the challenging part. You have to decide what your income level needs to be, do you need fulltime income or do you have another job and want to supplement your income? Another factor is deciding what your strengths and weaknesses are. If selling is your strength, then looking for a work at home type position that includes going door to door might be your niche. If typing is your strength, then possibly there is a data entry position out there for you. You have a product to sell, there are many home based business opportunities that will help you get started. If writing is your forte, then maybe being a proofreader or editor from your home computer is what you need to look for in a home based business.

Some of the available work at home/home based businesses that are out there are:

* Affiliate programs - Start your own website and advertise for companies that offer products that are related to your website. Sales that are generated through your website will earn you a commission.

* Fundraisers - Set up fundraiser for schools, daycare facilities or sports groups. Basically you can make a commission on what is sold. There may be a small investment required. Recommend researching the opportunity well before sending any money.

* Freelance writers - This type of work usually requires a subscription fee to get to the available job list. There are many people who need qualified people to proofread their work. There are people who need writers to put their stories into readable words. Magazines and websites need people to research write articles. These types of jobs are a little more difficult to find, and are not big money makers, however, they are out there and they are a great source of extra income.

How To Make A Stable Income In Your First Month In Multi-Level Marketing Business?

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

Earning an income that allows you to quit your job at the first month is exciting. You can immediately become full time in your multi-level marketing business. You can also attract people easily to join you because you and your downlines are making money in the first month already. But how?

Do you still remember you or other networkers do at the beginning? You might list down people you know and immediately try to recruit or sponsor them. There is 2 weakness here. Firstly, you are not earning any income that attracts them. You can only use trust and success stories that they hardly will believe. Secondly, you can’t earn any income by recruiting people. You need to build a huge organization to get a stable income. That’s too slow and can’t be achieved in the first month.

The way to earn a good income in the first month in business is to sell products. It’s cash deal and that’s why it’s fast. But usually people can’t earn a good income monthly unless they are good salesman. Do you like to sell? Selling is too slow and most of us resist to do that. What I mean is about marketing! Market your company effectively and massively to sell a huge amount and earn a good income monthly.

There are 2 ways to market your products. These 2 methods is specifically designed for only multi-level marketing products. These methods can effectively and massively market your product with very low cost. It’s very different from those colorful advertisement. One of them is direct marketing. You send persuasive sales letter to people’s letter box. The other one is internet marketing. You use internet tools and convincing webpage to sell your products.

If you can market your products skillfully, you will make an income for the first month and duplicate for your downlines too. But creating persuasive sales letter and convincing webpage is not a topic people know. People are more used to advertise with colorful and price-competition. That’s why most of them failed.

To get the free knowledge on how to market your multi-level marketing products effectively and massively, go to alexmlmmagnet.com/mlm-lead.htm mlm lead. You will get to know the piece of knowledge which very little people know- attraction marketing to market massively with a low cost.

What You Should Take Into Account When Planning a Home Business

What You Should Take Into Account When Planning a Home Business

Whichever home based business opportunity or opportunities you decide to take up, there are certain things you should face up to, realistically. Everybody has different abilities and temperaments. Yours will affect how things pan out over the next few years. Here are a few things you should think about (it is important here to be honest with yourself):

1. How will you react to set backs? Running your own business is very tough. If you work flat out for 3 months and don’t make a penny profit, will you get so depressed it will destroy your life? If so, your own business is not for you. You will almost certainly have setbacks. You need to learn from them. In fact, thrive on them. Feed off each set back to drive you forward positively.

2. Are you good at learning from mistakes? Unless you’re a genius of perfection, you will make mistakes. Can you spot a mistake soon enough, learn from it, and move on quickly? Or do you have a stubborn streak that forces you to carry on down the wrong track in the hope that things will improve?

3. Can you reinvest profits? If you make a bit of profit in the first few months, will you go out and spend it all, or put it back into the business? If you can, you should put all or most back in, either to marketing or to tools that will save you time. If your temperament is to spend as it arrives, you may have problems with your own small business. You need to change your mindset and habits. If you make a small profit in the first 3 months and spend it, then make a loss in month 4, you’re going backwards. Your base camp is further back down the mountain you have to climb.

4. How will you and your family adjust to you working from home? If you’re used to working from an office or elsewhere, and your family are not used to you being at home all the time, there will be a major impact on your lives. It can be a great feeling to be able to work from home in your own home based business, but there are practical and very personal issues you need to think about, and preferably discuss with those close to you.

5. Can you deal with financial side of your business? Not everyone’s good at this, but if neglected, the business may not have a firm footing. You may be making sales, but not really know what’s going on. You may be making a profit, you may not. All business owners need to understand basic business finance.

6. Can you learn about marketing? This is more interesting than finance, that’s for sure. But not everyone can take an interest in marketing. As a small business owner, you will need to understand marketing as well as finance. You will need to see how they inter-relate. At least, until you reach the stage when you can employ “experts”. Even then, it’s best to understand these basics, otherwise how will you know if the experts you hire are talking sense?

These are just a few of the things to bear in mind when thinking through your plan for the future. They are here just to stimulate your thought process, I am sure you can think of others. If you like, do another exercise. Do a SWOT analysis of yourself and your situation. SWOT means Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. List out your personal strengths and weaknesses as they will impact on your having a small business of your own. For example:

Strengths: determination, supportive spouse, vast knowledge of sport

Weaknesses: little capital, not good with figures, don’t like selling

Opportunities: online business related to sports, offline business related to sports

Threats: need to start business while working full time still, lots of competition

There are no restrictions here. Think as long and hard as you like for your SWOT analysis. Sometimes an obvious plan can fall out of such an exercise. Again, be honest with yourself. If you’re disorganised, put that as a weakness. If you’re impatient, put that as a weakness. When you move on to your plan, you can take all these into account. You’ll be able to build on the strengths, address the weaknesses, seize the opportunities, and anticipate and deal with the threats.

How to Protect Your Privacy With Your Work at Home Job or Business

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

People choose to work at home due to the benefits such as being able to stay home with children and not dealing with a daily commute. This, as far as I’m concerned, is a briljant choice. However, there are potential drawbacks to working out of your home.

It’s important to keep your work at home job separate from your personal life. Above all else, you want to keep your personal life private and secure. There are a few precautions you can take to maintain your privacy as you work at home.

You might want to consider getting a private mailbox for your work at home job. You can rent a post office box or a mailbox from a shipping company. You should be able to find mailboxes for rent by looking in the yellow pages. The mailboxes are relatively inexpensive to rent and should provide some protection by having a separate professional address.

Along the same line, you might consider a having a different phone number for your work at home job. Ask the phone company not to publish your home address with your work at home phone number. You don’t want unexpected visitors showing up at your doorstep because they think your home is a business.

Setting up a separate email account is a good idea for your work at home job. There are several Internet sites where you can set up a professional email addresses for free.

Your computer can be your worst enemy if you don′t take precautions to protect yourself. Most likely, you will spend a lot of time on the computer and possibly the Internet as you work at home. Install anti-virus software and anti-spyware software to protect your computer files.

Never reveal personal or financial information in an email or online to avoid computer scams. Supervise your children if they use your work at home computer so they don’t download damaging programs or open unreliable emails.

Some work at home jobs require you to meet with clients or customers. It’s a good policy to set up these meetings at a different location than your house. For large gatherings, you might consider renting a hotel meeting room. For smaller gatherings, you might be able to meet at a restaurant or coffee house.

By following these basic steps, it will be easy to keep your personal life private and your professional life safe as you work at home.

Home Business Earns $150,000 Monthly

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

The home business revolution has changed lives and life styles eliminating the daily commute and giving many people the sort of income that they would never have dared dream about.

Yet for the vast majority, home business success remains an elusive dream. What makes the difference. Why is it that there are some home business owners earning $150,000 monthly from a single home business program (won’t say what their total income from all their home business programs is) while many others earn next to nothing, or nothing? What is the ultimate home business secret?

Home business success starts with the selection of the right home business program. There is really no two ways about it, you will have to select a home business product or service to deal with that already has a very high demand. That is how folks manage those six figure monthly checks. Ride with the wave, not against it.

Then the most ideal type of home business to start is an affiliate based home business program. No matter how good your personal product or service is, it will require time to gain acceptance in the market. Believe me you do not have the time to wait for your home business to gain acceptance and recognition so that the dollars start to roll in.

Why not just go with a home business affiliate program that already has a track record and one that is recognized and will sound familiar to most people whom you market your home business to?

The Misconception Of Multi-Level Marketing

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

Ever wonder why people are so turned off at the mention of Multi-Level Marketing? Is it legal? Is it a pyramid? Who benefits the most? Where does the money flow? In this article we will examine basic differences between Multi-Level Marketing and a Corporate Structure.

Let’s take the corporate structure first. Almost all of us work in this type of structure everyday. The corporation or company is headed by a CEO. Below him/her are upper management people i.e. Vice President, Controller, Senior Sales Exec…etc. Below them are middle management people i.e. Department Heads, Retail Directors, Consultants and various Supervisors.

Finally we reach the Sales Representatives, Customer Service Representatives, Stockers, Cashiers, Cleaners, Drivers, etc.

So who makes the most money in this type of structure? If you were flow chart this all out, it would look like a “Pyramid” The CEO makes the most money, then a few upper management, then more middle management, then most workers. It is the person at the “top” of this “pyramid” that makes the most money, because in this type of structure, you are paid based on “where you are” in the structure. The only ways you increase your earnings are if someone in the structure gets fired, dies, or quits. As a result, everyone in the structure can move up.

So….lets take a look at a Network Marketing Structure and compare. On the surface, both structures are mirror images of each other. BOTH look like a “Pyramid” structure. Flowchart it out. An affiliate sponsors someone, they sponsor more, they sponsor more…etc. But…..who makes the money here? The guy at the top? Possibly, but most likely not. Here’s why:

Even though this structure looks identical to a corporate structure pyramid, in this structure you get paid STRICTLY on what you do, not on where you are within the structure. Wouldn’t it seem fair that if you do more work, you should get paid more money? This structure is simply a structure of business owners. Pay is based ONLY on what you do, not your position within the network. This is what differs Network Marketing from a typical “Corporate Structure Job”.

Here, only YOU are in control of your income. With a job, someone else is in control of your income. Think about it. Which option is the most fair? If you have comments or questions, please write us at www.bizmancan.com

Keeping Multiple Computers Synchronized

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

How many computers do you use?

If your home business only uses a single computer, this article is not for you – even though you might find it interesting (wink, wink).

If you use several computers for your business - such as a desktop that stays put and a notebook that goes out on the road, how do you keep them in sync?

What if you make changes to a document on computer A but forget to make the corresponding changes on computer B and then you start working on the same document on computer B.

Some of your work may get lost or overwritten – if you’re not very careful.

So what is the solution?

Well, you can copy the edited file onto a disk and then load the changed version onto your other machine. That works. But in this article, I would like to share some other solutions that are working for us.

I have 3 computers on my desk here in the home office. The old ViewSonic that has not been turned on since 2006. The Dell desktop. And the Dell notebook. They are all networked together via a wireless modem. As it happens, we also have other computers in the house which are also on the network but that is a different story.

SOLUTION #1. SyncToy.

Store all the data in a single folder then use Microsoft’s free SyncToy to synchronize the contents of that folder between your two computers.

SyncToy will allow you to copy A to B or B to A. You also synchronize which means the most recently edited on either machine is copied to the other machine.

The downside with SyncToy is that you must start it manually when both machines are turned on and connected either to the internet or to the same network.

SOLUTION #2. FolderShare.

This is another Microsoft file synchronization freebie and again it requires both machines to be turned on and connected to the internet.

The benefit of FolderShare is that it works automatically. All file changes are automatically synchronized between the linked computers.

The downside here is that it is running continuously when both machines are online so there is a little dip in your computer’s speed when it’s doing its sync work.

We’re using FolderShare to backup my son’s files from his home computer in the UK to my machine here in Australia but I believe it would also work for documents used by multiple staff members.

What MLM Software To Choose

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

As an entrepreneur, do you need MLM software developed in-house or should you hire a software provider to set up the business? I know the idea of owning and running my own business is intriguing and that MLM is likely my best shot at being able to do so. However, if I do choose to go that route, should I develop my own MLM software, or is there a provider that will work best for me? The truth is, probably neither.

The MLM land is littered with the corpses of failed owners who tried to write programs on their own, or by entrepreneurs who chose bad providers. The problem that you can run into is that you may start letting the ideas and thoughts of some young hot shot programmer get to you. Their enthusiasm and cockiness can be intoxicating. However, MLM software is not just about programming. The MLM business world is highly competitive and any programmer of MLM software needs to understand it in order to be effective. So you end up spending money on MLM software that is ineffective and your otherwise sound business goes down the tubes as a result. The same thing can happen if you hire an equally unproven or inexperienced MLM software provider.

The answer is to be very careful about who you choose as your MLM software provider. So as the time comes that you need to select the MLM software you are going to use, start asking questions of the right people. Find out who the best MLM software provider in the industry is. Find out about promising newcomers and the track records of existing companies. Also find out who has a lot of experience and who is using the latest in technology and technical advances. Find out about support packages as well. Finally, and maybe most importantly, figure out who you can afford.

As you ask around, you will find out quickly that the same MLM software providers rise to the top of each conversation. You will, then, end up with a list of two or three providers that you can choose from. It is recommended that you use an MLM software provider that has several thousand hours of experience in the MLM industry and is also priced to your budget. Also, make sure that whoever you choose will have the ability to make your business smarter and stronger.

Finding the right MLM software provider to support a new MLM business is difficult to do. What makes it difficult is that it is not always an easy decision when you are faced with the temptation of a private programmer that promises great results or a new MLM software provider that promises great results but has no experience in the MLM industry. The most important thing for you to do is to ask around and find out who the best and most reliable

The Power of Focus for Work At Home Moms

Monday, January 29th, 2007

So, you’re interested in being a work at home mom? How can you make it happen?

Well, I’m here to share with you that IT IS possible and you just have to have faith and take the first step.

But wait, even before you take the very first step, there is a single factor that will affect your success or failure more than anything else. Allow me to share with you an analogy here.

If you wish to travel from America to romantic Paris, how many ways can you get to Paris?

Not only can you travel to Paris by plane, you can also reach your destination by boat or by a combination of road, rail and boat. Now even if you choose to go by plane, there are many different airlines competing for your attention as well – Singapore Airlines, United Air, British Airways etc.

Which mode of travel you decide to take depends on your criteria such as service quality, speed, reliability, price, comfort, number of stop-over etc.

Similarly when you start out in your online business as a work at home mom or wahm for short, as you look around, as you educate yourself, you will find a sudden outpour of information for you to digest. You will be overwhelmed. Each guru will share with you a success path that seems different from the other. And they may be right. After all, they have the checks to prove to you, right? Realize that people have succeeded online through selling on the eBay, through affiliate marketing or selling of their own products. It’s certainly true that there is more than one way to succeed in your online business. And if you are not careful, you may drown yourself in this flood of information that will certainly lead to action paralysis.

So what should you do?

You need to have the POWER OF FOCUS.

As I mentioned earlier, there are many roads to Paris, you just have to pick one based on your circumstances, passion and ability.

If you decide that you want to go the route of selling on eBay. Stick with it until you have succeeded before trying the next new idea that comes along. If you decide that you would like to write and sell an ebook, then go for it – create your product, automate the sales process, set up some traffic generating systems, get the sales process going before moving on to the next idea.

More people failed in history due to a lack of focus and commitment to succeed than anything else.

So choose your online business. Decide to go for it. Don’t look left or right. And you won’t be one of the statistics. You will become a very successful work at home mom instead.

The Walnut Tree & Growing Your Business

Monday, January 29th, 2007

Every morning, for this past year, Flo (our fantastic Mutt) &amp I walk approximately 5 miles back &amp forth through the Almond and Walnut Orchards behind our Ranch.

The walk was prompted by my coronary and has become an hour of the most enjoyable part of my day.

Flo gets to chase the Wild Turkeys, Jackrabbits, stare down the Fox, and watch the Deer. I think she walks-runs 10 miles.

The most fascinating thing in the past few months has been watching a freshly planted (February) Walnut Orchard blossom from a field of white painted “sticks” to a 20 acre stand of stately Walnut trees, some 13 feet tall!!

These trees are nurtured daily, constantly tied and pruned during their first year.
However the real reason for their explosive growth was the preparation of the planting environment.

The ground was ripped deep for drainage, holes were dug 4 feet x 4 feet, back-filled with amendments and then the Twigs (walnut stock cuttings) were placed in the well worked ground.

A small hole dug in un-worked and unamended ground would not have yielded the size of tree we are staring at today.

WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH GROWING YOUR BUSINESS?

The opportunities offered today in the Networking Marketing and Home-based Business world are staggering. Most companies are ethical and offer fine products, reasonable compensation plans and are usually well managed.

Why is it then, the attrition rate is so high?

No one addresses the preparation stage of starting the business. Everyone wants to “get going now” and make a million overnight.

The only reason the Walnut Trees are doing so well, is that the farmer spent time and money, preparing the soil and is spending a bundle in the early stages to keep those tress growing properly , even though there won’t be any income for several years.

Want to grow a Solid Business?

Take heed from my successful Neighbor.

1. Choose the Company and Product well. (get quality Root Stock)

2. Be willing to invest in books, tapes and aligning yourself with quality training (Prepare you ground and plan)

3. Have a written plan and be prepared to work daily in the beginning, to constantly build your foundation of quality recruits. ( constantly prune, tie and Fertilize the tree during the first year)

Shirley & I consider ourselves fortunate to have found the right Product and Company,
