Want to Make Money from Home Quickly? Offer A Service, But Don’t Let It Take Over Your Life (Part 2)

Thursday, August 31st, 2006

If you’ve ever set up a service-based business or are just starting to develop one based on the advice in Part 1 of this article, you probably know this:

=> Offering a service is a lot of work and can take up quite a bit of your time.

After all, there are only 24 hours in a day and 7 days in a week. Not only do you have to spend the time working for your clients, you also do spend a lot of time in your business that you don’t get paid for:

- Updating your website
- Gathering new clients
- Consulting with potential clients
- Bookkeeping
- Answering emails from non-clients

….and the list goes on.

Also remember, that if you are sick or can′t fulfill your client’s needs, you don′t get paid. It’s as simple as that.

You need to take all this into account when planning the growth of your business. Here are some tips to help you make the most of it:

1. Decide how much you want to earn and how many hours you want to dedicate each week.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that if you want to make $600 per week, you can simply work 40 hours per week at $15 per hour. Again, you have to realize that if you work on client-work for 40 hours per week there will be other maintenance parts of your business that will take you beyond 40 hours per week.

No one should have to work more than full-time hours for full-time pay. Instead, charge a bit more and incorporate your time working on other tasks into the calculations. For example, if you charge $20 per hour, you can have an extra 10 hours to work on non-client tasks and you’ll still make $600 per week.

Quality people will pay quality rates for quality work. I promise!

2. Hire subcontractors.

There is no reason why you have to perform all your client’s work. You can hire others to work for you to complete projects. Yes, you will have to hire them at a lower rate to ensure profit for your business, but if you pay a fair rate and treat your subcontractors well, you can acquire a loyal team of helpers.

This means you can take on more clients, can focus more of your time in gathering and maintaining clientele by making sure they receive exemplary service.

When you have more clients and potential clients to draw from, your business will likely have fewer fluctuations than if you try to do everything yourself.

3. Outsource other tasks.

Not only can you have subcontractors work on your client’s work…you can hire others to complete other business tasks. Remember those website updates, bookkeeping and answering emails? Those are perfect tasks to hand over to an assistant.

Think of yourself as the manager of your company. The manager focuses on making sure things are running well and the business is growing. They don’t worry about the small tasks like answering an email. They focus on the big picture. You need to look at the big picture too.

We all have hopes and dreams for ourselves and our families and I′m guessing working forever isn’t one of yours. Putting these 3 simple suggestions into place will ensure that you are free to:

- Take a vacation
- Take a day off with your sick child…or just take a day off
PERIOD! :-)
- Retire some day.

Leverage the time and work of others and you’ll have more freedom in your service-based business.

Ways To Make Extra Money

Thursday, August 31st, 2006

Would you like to supplement your income with ways to make
extra money while you work? Earning a living on the
internet is fairly straight forward once you know how.
However, for most new people to internet marketing very few
people succeed. The most common reason for this is that
people do not follow a proven plan and they experience
information overload and read ebook after ebook without
taking massive action. Using the techniques I am about to
show you you could easily earn six hundred dollars a month
and if you apply them with consistent action you will grow
your monthly income by that amount.

One of the ways to make extra money is to do surveys. Now
there are plenty of companies that pay you to help them do
market research. For example you could earn twenty dollars
to complete a survey that takes thirty minutes. Now if you
do two of these types of surveys that is forty dollars in
one day. If you search on Google there plenty of sites that
offer listings of survey sites free. There are also sites
that offer you a comprehensive survey directory listing for
a fee. Now you cannot earn a full time living from surveys,
but you can make a few hundred dollars a month in extra
money.

Another one of my favorite ways to make extra money is
that you can piggyback traffic on sites like Squidoo,
Ecademy and Craigslist which have very good rankings in the
search engines. You do some keyword research and then
create content on these website which have highly targeted
affiliate links to your chosen keywords. This is a really
easy way to make extra money and your content is usually
indexed in a few days on the major search engines.

Using these ways to make extra money you could easily be
earning six thousand dollars a month in a years time with
minimal financial investment and only a few hours of your
time a week.

Would you like to know more about the techniques that have helped me to quit my day job? I have just completed my new guide.

Do You Want To Work From Home?

Thursday, August 31st, 2006

Are you anything like I was 3 years ago?

I wanted to know how I could make money online, but I did’n know where to start or how to do it.

Through “trial and error” I found my way. After spending huge amounts of money - joining innumerable opportunities which promised me to get rich, the major part being useless or even scams - I finally discovered how to start.

I soon realized that I needed my own website.

I certainly had no knowledge about how to create a website at that time. I soon found out that there were these automatic website creators (wysiwyg – “what you see is what you get”). However, I just could’n make them work the way I wanted.

So I had to learn some html.

I was a bit frightened of the huge task in front of me, creating my website from the bottom.
Then I came across a tutorial that was totally different from the others I had tried. It showed me, lesson by lesson, what I should do.
In just 10 minutes I could create my very first (primitive) website.

Step by step I managed to make my website the way I wanted it. Not a very advanced one, but it was alright. Despite my apprehension, I realized that if you get the right educational tutorial, everyone that knows just a little bit of how to use his/her PC, can make a website.

In the following months I learned how to get my own domain, how to get my site hosted and uploaded to the Web.

The next question was to learn how to use my website to create an online business.

God knows that I have spent huge amounts in the past on opportunities of all kinds. None of them have been working.

Through some of the eZines I subscribed to, I got in contact with some honest online marketers who showed me how they started their online business, and they revealed some of the basics for creating an online business.

So here are some of the basics:

You must have your own website. It’s essential if you want to end up with a full time business. You can do without it though, if you just want to make a few hundred dollars each month by selling affiliate products.

Then you must create a member’s list. You may have heard this before: “The money is in the list” - and it’s so true. You must start making a list of people you can communicate with and make offers to. A good targeted list is worth at least one dollar per member per month. Money right into your pocket.

To create your website and your list, you need some knowledge, some tools, some money, some spare time and some hard work.

If you want to know how I did all this, I have created a 11-day report that you can get for free on my website.

The Work From Home Internet Business Is booming On The Net

Thursday, August 31st, 2006

The work from home revolution on the Internet is in full swing. There has never been a better time or opportunity to make money online working at home in front of your computer. The number of money making opportunities is endless.

With today’s technology it is quite possible to run your entire business online from anywhere in the world using your laptop computer. You no longer need to leave your house to make a living for your family. It can be done from the comfort of your own home. No commute required. No travel time with reduced fuel consumption and maintenance on your vehicles. Best of all you are your own boss.

The amount of people using the internet worldwide continues to increase almost monthly. This bodes well for internet business entrepreneurs and anyone wishing to take advantage of the internet work from home business industry. Global Internet Statistics shows over 800 million people worldwide are now using the internet.

Just do a search for internet business opportunities on Google or your favorite search engine. You’ll find websites such as kawarthapublishing.com″ target=”_new kawarthapublishing.com & bigmoolla.com″ target=”_new bigmoolla.com promoting several top Internet home based business products and services from paid surveys online to network marketing and MLM businesses. If you already have your own website you can even sign up with Google ad sense and make money displaying Google ad words ads on your site. In fact everywhere you look on the net almost every single site you go to is making money from some form of advertising or work from home business opportunity.

The internet is forever changing the global job scene and the world economy with new internet opportunities arriving on the internet every day even as you read this. We can only hope that this will make the world cleaner and a better place to live with less pollution from automobiles and reduced pollution from factories. This in turn could create a backlash on the economy but it has yet to be seen. We all know the reasons behind why we are still using oil and gas rather than clean energy. (It would kill the global economy). Internet business could be just as threatening as electric cars and cars running on fuel cells.

We are indeed in a revolution. The last revolution was called the industrial revolution. This one is called the information revolution. Or what I like to think of it, the work from home revolution.

My Dear Unemployed Friend

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

Hello my dear unemployed Friend,

I know how you are feeling. I am sure it is hard and disappointing to be in such a state of affairs and you look almost hopeless. But you have nothing to blame yourself on. I know you are smart, you are prepared, you are diligent, you are persistent, and you are ready to work hard for your young family.

Unfortunately however, you are out of any decent job. It happens, you know, for reasons independent from your personal ability, attitudes, wit or talent. You should not give in to depression, to despair, to inactivity.

You already knocked at all doors, or so it seems to you, you were ready to accept modest occupations you loathe from people you despise. But you were rejected, time after time, no need for your services, thank you.

How long will you still be able to look for new employers, when ever will you be able to continue putting on an appearance of calmness while you are in a nightmare of dark thoughts and you think you cannot endure those humiliations any more?

Now listen to me please. Why should you think that your life, your family, your well being, your achievements, your happiness should depend on people that do not know you, that owe you nothing, that could not care less of you and your problems?

Why should you dismiss any solution making requests only on you for a change?
You are the best employer for yourself, you know your skills, you are aware of your weak points, you have the drive and the will to succeed.

I know the objection. To start a business one needs a capital. As you do not have any significant capital to begin with, you think your access to business, any business, is out of question. It is not so.

In any case I would never recommend to you nor to anybody else to put all available assets in one venture without some previous business experience.
But as you are still in financial straits, you have to do something, if not for yourself at least for your loved ones.

I would like to invite you to think of a different way out. You will build a business by yourself little by little, with care and effort, with patience and determination, with brain and motivation, with attention and perseverance.

You may have vaguely known about what I am about to tell you. But you dismissed it without actually seeing what is involved, without a second thought. You decided it is not for you, and nobody was allowed to convince you of the contrary. Why not giving it a try?

You will not need a big capital, neither a small one. The only real problem is that you have to allow for some time to see results, you cannot build an instant business.

On the contrary, keep clear from those promising you GRQ (Get Rich Quick) programs: these are scams. Keep your present occupation, if you have one, however unsatisfactory, or adapt to get one for a limited time.

You should know that the Internet is a vast region where all sorts of things happen. Also good things occur with nice and decent people ready to help, and plenty of proofs and case stories are there to show you what can be done. If you work right, you will be able to add one day your own success story.

You must be ready to cultivate your passion or hobby or main interest and you should be serious in your readiness to learn and to invest your time and effort in building a profitable Web site. You may get help but nobody will do the work for you.

Briefly the best of mentors in what is called Internet Marketing, recommend a planned approach, with four main phases:

- Find a theme based niche whose subject is near to your heart. Research which keywords are used by surfers to find the subject they want. Build pages of Content where you display useful information that surfers may appreciate.

- Build traffic to your site by a series of moves intended to make your site visible in the search pages that Search Engines display in answer to keywords.

- Provide some real no cost value to your readers, to gain their confidence and trust in your recommendations. Sometimes this is called Preselling.

- Monetize your site by one or more of several means. Sell your products or services or those of merchants you are affiliate to, or publish paid advertisements on your site. Other options are available.

If you made these things right and if you keep and persist at least for six months to one year, following the best plans available, you will be able to see the first promising results of your labor. From that point on your way is open to success.

You will get the proof that a decent job, the one that you invented and realized, is finally capable of giving you the satisfaction and material independence you strived so hard to achieve. It depends only on you…

Opening A DayCare - How To Make More Money Off Your Day Care Center

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

You can make a lot of money just by running your daycare center the regular old way. But there are ways in which you can turbo charge your income stream and make more money with your daycare. All you have to know is how.

Here are 3 simple ways to create new income streams through your daycare center and to make more money:

1. Charge for extra hours - You should make perfectly clear to the parents of the children in your daycare center the operatiinghours of your daycare. That means that by the end of these hours they must pick up their child. But, you should provide the option of picking the child at a later time, for an additional fee, of course. Don’t be shy, you′re doing extra time you should get extra pay. It’s as simple as that.

2. Babysitting - The parents already know you and trust you and the child knows you. You can easily offer babysitting services. And why not? It’s not that different from what you do in your daycare. You don′t have to do the actual babysitting yourself. You can have babysitters working for you. If a parent wants a babysitter you can provide one for a profit.

3. Sell children and baby related products - This is a bit tricky, but if you have a substantial number of children you can become an agent of children and baby related products and offer them to the parents of the children in your daycare. You can sell toys, children’s books, diapers and anything of that kind. Use your imagination.

There are many ways to make more money with you daycare. It’s all up to you. Use these 3 ways to make even more money with your daycare center.

My Home Business. Is It Ever To Late To Start Your Own Home Business?

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

People think that when you reach that half century mark from there on it is just downhill all the way. I have news for them, you are as old as you feel.

At what age can you start a home business? Any age, I think it all depends on the law of the country where you live. Why do people start a Home Business? There are many reasons why, to many to count. Go and write them down, you will fill a few pages.

The ultimate reason why people over that miracle half century start there home business is mainly to supplement there retirement income. Many do it also because they have no retirement benefits. Make no mistake, in the latter case there are thousands.

The question is what can I do? How can I do it? When must I start doing it? How much can I make?

Take a couple of days or even a month to brainstorm this idea. Take a notepad and write every thing down that crosses your mind. Write down your strengths and weaknesses. Start putting your ideas in categories. Compare the different categories with your strengths and weaknesses. Once you have completed this very important exercise, a new world will emerge before you. Your almost new born home business will be staring you in your face. It will be like switching on a light in a dark room.

The other two questions, how can I start and when must I start will be answered immediately. You must take immediate action because as the proverb goes “Those who hesitate are lost”

The remaining question how much can I make? That depends entirely upon you. If you treat it as just another venture, not much, but if you treat it with the respect that it deserves, it will pay you handsomely.

Don’t abandon it when the first failure occurs, that will happen no matter what, but make the necessary adjustments. Stay motivated, be determinant and mostly persevere.

If you do that, you can also be in line to become the entrepreneur of the year. Many other people over that half century mark have won this prestigious tile off “Entrepreneur of the year.’ You might be the next person to receive this prestigious title of “Entrepreneur off the Year.”

With the Grace of God, you can do it, no matter what. The most important question for you is not when I must start; the answer must be and should be Today I am going to do something about it.

Willem Steyn did just that and is the proud owner of a Home Business in his early sixties.

Making Easy Money Online - How to Get Rich Online

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

So you see the ads are… “Make a $1000 a day online!”, “Type from your home and make thousands!”, “Work only an hour a day and become a millionaire!” … or at least something to that extent. So is it true? Not exactly, let me explain.

What they “forget” to tell you in these ads is that making lots of money online is only possible if you put in work! Before you start making a $1000 a day you’re going to have to put in your share of work.

You are not instantly going to be making a $1000 a day. Well, the chances are very slim.

It definitely takes some time to make this much money. You may start out only making $10 a day. You may start out making a $100 a day. But starting out making a $1,000 a day is pretty far fetched.

So you want to know how to really make money online? Work at it! It is WELL worth it and let me explain to you why.

Now in what other business can you work hard for a short amount of time and be rewared so heavily years, months, or maybe even weeks later? Say I was a high up in a company. I bust my butt for 3 years to get to president and I finally get it! But guess what, I am making more money but WORKING MORE. With this business if you put in 2 years of work, after that 2 years you will barely ever have to work, maybe an hour or two a day. The more you put in now the less you have to work for the rest of your life. Just the opposite of most jobs. So you see why this business is worth it?

Now this is not a guarantee that this will happen to you because people are different. People approach situations differently and people’s work ethics are a lot different. But if you put in what you believe to be hard work you will be rewarded.

Good luck! Im sure you will be successful.

The author of this article is an avid internet user and makes a substantial amount of money online. She believes that working online is one of the best jobs in the world because of the freedom and the rewarding outcome of the work you put in.

How to Start a House Cleaning Business

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

Starting a house cleaning business takes hard work and determination, good communication skills, marketing ability, time management and bookkeeping skills, and compliance with government regulations.

Be Prepared

Research the industry and know what you are getting into before you invest in starting a cleaning business. Read all the free articles at maiddocs.com — hours upon hours of research have been completed for you. Then, if you decide to start your own service business, purchase the MaidDocs Business Owner´s Manual to prepare yourself for the adventure. You´ll learn how to estimate cleaning jobs, hire and manage employees, run the daily operations, and grow your business.

Getting Started

A professionally designed logo will help to brand your company in the public´s mind. Your logo will be printed on business cards, door knockers, letterhead, car signs, etc., so carefully consider the image you want to present, and then choose artwork which will best reflect that image.

Decide what you will charge for your services. Research the local market to determine what your competitors charge. You must remain within the local standards, and you can undercut your competition slightly; however, if you charge significantly less than the competition, you may end up with less money and more work than you care for. Your growth must be contained so that you can add employees as you need them without raising prices and thereby losing customers. Also, if you have more jobs than you can handle you may not be servicing the homes well, and this is certainly not good for business.

Advertise in the “services” section of the classified in your local newspapers. Keep it short, and ad your logo if you can afford to. Your ad might read “Quality housecleaning with integrity. Call ###-#### for a free estimate.”

Place an ad in your local yellow pages. Research all of your local phone books and notice which ads catch your eye. A good bet is a “knock-out” ad with at least 2 colors. A “knock-out” removes the yellow background and leaves a crisp, attention grabbing white field among all the yellow ads. For a lesser cost you may list your company in the yellow pages free listing column with a knock-out and color. This ad should be a minimum of four 4 lines, with color. For on-line marketing choose pay-per-click advertising with YellowPages.com — this will assure that your listing is shown before the alphabetized free listings.

If you don´t mind hand delivering a marketing piece, then the most economical advertising is hanging a door-knocker on the front door of homes you´re certain can afford your services.

Direct mail postcards are an economical advertising option that puts your information directly into the hands of qualified prospects. You can use labels or merge the postcards with a mailing list and have them copied at a local office store or printer with a high speed/high quality copier. Insist on seeing a sample from the copier before you have the job completed. You MUST deliver high quality postcards in order to make the best impression on your prospects. Flimsy paper with lopsided print, ink rubbing off and jagged edges is not the quality which will get you noticed.

Magnetic car signs can be made by a local sign maker for about $25 a set. We buy ours from our local FastSigns shop.

Be prepared for business with professional estimates, letters to follow-up on quotes not booked, new customer letters, customer
information sheets, maid service checklists, and customer surveys for the first service.

Purchase cleaning supplies at your local discount center. Lists of cleaning supplies, office equipment & supplies necessary to start your business are in the MaidDocs Business Owners Manual.

Commercial grade vacuums will last much longer than home quality. We have found that Royal brand commercial vacuums, crafted with die-cast aluminum, are the lightest and longest lasting available anywhere, and they out clean the competition. Royal Commercial Vacuums come with a lifetime warranty on the motor housing, fan casing and nozzle.

Your own website is a luxury that is worth the expense when you can afford it. Be certain to add your website address to all business documents, and to all of your advertising. The website should have an online estimate form and customer testimonials.

When you´re ready to hire employees, be prepared with your employment application, handbook, policies and guidelines, and all of the appropriate documents you´ll need to manage employees.

Government Regulations:

Get your federal tax ID; local & state business licenses bonding insurance, and liability insurance. When you hire employees you´ll need worker´s compensation insurance. The Small Business Administration is a great source of information for start-up paperwork and links to informative websites. sba.gov/starting_business/startup/guide.html

The IRS website offers a wealth of information for small businesses. You´ll find start-up guides, information on tax credits and business deductions, advice on record keeping and choosing an accounting method, employee tax issues, and more. The most up-to-date tax information is available through the site, as well as forms, publications and instructions for filing taxes. irs.gov/businesses/small/index.html

State tax information can be found at taxadmin.org/fta/link/forms.html, which provides links to the Department of Revenue for every state.

Here´s a few other sites you should look at:

Business Law: businesslaw.gov - Complying with business laws and regulations can be a burden. To help small businesses overcome this, the Small Business Administration (sba.gov) in cooperation with multiple Federal agencies developed BusinessLaw.gov, an online resource designed to provide legal and regulatory information. Topics covered on this site range from choosing a business structure to hiring an attorney. The site also provides links to federal, state and local agencies.

Employment Law: dol.gov/asp/programs/EmpLawGuide - This guide describes the statutes and regulations administered by the Department of Labor (DOL) that affect businesses and workers. The guide is designed mainly for those needing “hands-on″ information to develop wage, benefit, safety and health, and nondiscrimination policies for businesses in general industry.

Compliance Laws: dol.gov/esa/regs/compliance - Statutes and regulations administered by the Department of Labor (DOL)that affect businesses and workers.

Cleaning Business Forms, Documents, Manuals and More: MaidDocs.com - MaidDocs provides step-by-step instructions, lists of resources, employee handbooks and cleaning procedures manual, a database template, a payroll template, and all of the documents necessary for you to run a successful maid service, without a franchise. You must provide the determination, self control and discipline necessary to bring your dream to fruition.
