At Home Sale Business Opportunities Abound

Saturday, July 29th, 2006

Even if you’re not a born entrepreneur, there are a number of business opportunities available to you that can bring in a significant amount of additional income. With only a computer and an Internet connection, you can start your own online sale business and grow it to a size that fits your lifestyle. Whether you’re looking for a way to supplement the income you receive from your current job, or you’d prefer to give up your commute altogether and make a good living working from home, there’s no time like the present to start your own business.

As testified to by the success of eBay, online auctions provide millions of people with a supplemental income. Those who are serious about their online businesses and who find the proper niche - whether it’s electronics, fragrances, sports equipment, or supplies for pets - can earn enough to quit their day jobs.

One stumbling block for many people considering starting an online sale business is the investment necessary to build an inventory. This stumbling block can be circumvented by the use of drop shipping companies. When you use drop shipping companies, you don′t stock inventory. Instead, you take orders and send them on to the manufacturer or to a third party for fulfillment. In this way, you not only bypass the need to stock inventory, but you also don′t have to worry about buying shipping supplies or making multiple trips to the post office.

In essence, you provide an online storefront for merchandise provided by a third party, and you market and sell the products. When you make a sale, you turn around and order the product directly from the manufacturer at a lower price. They ship the product to the customer, and your profit is the difference between the amount you paid for the product and the amount your customer paid for the product.

This market niche is perfect for gift products. People continue to shop online in record numbers, and the market for gifts is virtually unlimited. The most common gift items people buy are “As Seen On TV” products, electronics, home and garden products, fragrances, sports equipment, and gifts for pets. By targeting this market niche, you can launch your own online sale business with virtually no out of pocket expense. As a result, you’ll generate supplemental income and be well on your way to financial freedom.

Passive Income - Entrepreneurs’ 5 Plus 2 Basic Steps

Saturday, July 29th, 2006

Two years ago, the words “multiple streams of income”, did not mean a hill of beans to me. My focus was elsewhere, moving up the corporate ladder. The technology field, at that time, was still somewhat lucrative. I felt comfortable with my “good, secured” technology job.

Call me naïve, but, I believed I could ride the rough waters during the demise of the dot-com companies, “911”, and the corporate financial scandals, and still come out on top. Like the former employees of Enron Corporation, I quickly learned, through a lay-off, that dependence on one source of income was not the best model.

I recognized how important it was for me to take charge of my financial future. The concept of having multiple streams of income appealed to me. It was refreshing, invigorating yet reassuring that these options were available to me and I no longer had to settle for a single source of income. From then on, I actively looked for and created opportunities to earn income from different sources.

One form of multiple streams of income is passive income. A good definition for “passive income” bears close resemblance to the word “inactivity”, for it refers to earnings that require little or no substantive activity. Typical examples include royalty from published products, real estate rentals, residual income from a multi-networking business, or dividends earned from investments.

I discovered that entrepreneurs are generally attracted to passive income as a business strategy to augment sluggish financial times, or increase their revenue base.

For example, entrepreneurs crafting a line of product simply by converting speaking engagements into sellable entities such as tapes, e-books, CD/DVDs or articles. This is such a practical concept. So the logical question is how can you as a small business owner expand your revenues to include passive income.

Here are the 5 plus 2 basics steps you should consider:

1. Take a close look at the things you have to offer. It could be the skills or abilities you have mastered that are of value to others. Analyze each one carefully to determine how you can best market it. Review your findings with an unbiased third-party such as a coach to validate your discoveries and help you through the next phases. Always keep an open mind.

2. Use technology to your advantage. Converting your skills and abilities, such as speaking engagement, into marketable products has been simplified and made affordable through the use of technology.

For more information, tuned in on April 13th to hear Coachville’s Guest Expert Kathy Gulrich, talk about “Market Niche to Passive Income in 3 Easy Steps”, tinyurl.com/6ns8s.

3. Review ways to convert those skills into saleable products. If you are a speaker with a message for self-employed business owners, consider packaging your talks for sale to a global audience. Be creative and experiment with different styles.

4. Juggling multiple streams of income is not designed for the timid at heart. It requires much effort and persistence particularly in the early stages, but the payoff is worth it. Of course, balance is also important. Consider hiring a coach to help you set SMART goals, focus and stay on track

5. Avoid the temptation to build multiple income streams simultaneously, or you may be in for an exciting ride. Know your limit and go at your pace. For some it may mean building your core business first and then adding on as you are able to. While for others, handling multiple projects at the same time is within their range.

6. Don’t forget to update your business plan and goals to keep you on track with the direction you are taking.

7. Enjoy the experience.

Been Burned, Scammed, Taken for a Ride?

Friday, July 28th, 2006

Well don’t worry, we have all been there. I doubt there is a single network marketer or homeworker out there who hasn’t at some point in their career fallen for an envelope stuffing scheme, been talked into selling potions and pills, tried chain letters etc. But the important thing is to learn from your mistakes and take something from every experience.

My first venture into working from home came when I answered an advert in a local paper which stated I could be earning £2000 a week part time, all I had to do was call. So I did and ended up trailing along to a meeting about how much money one could make from selling herbal diet supplements and how easy it all was. So I signed up and paid the £200 for the starter pack. Full of enthusiasm I started my 68 year old gran off on the diet. Well the first week she lost a few pounds and all was going well. I paid out another £100 to have a load of leaflets printed and spent hours putting these on car windscreens. By the second week, gran had given up on the diet as the stuff ‘tasted funny’ and she was bored with a milkshake three times a day!

Then I decided to try selling the products via the internet. It was a slow process but I taught myself html coding and built my first website. Then came the hard task of trying to market my site and get people to visit it. This is when I discovered that you could apparently make thousands very easily and with no effort online, simply by signing up for a website and placing a few free classifieds. So I joined every ‘next big thing’, every site promoting untold riches, only to find that the program disappeared after a few weeks, along with my money. But along the way I learnt what I should look for in an online business, the best ways to market online and my web design skills improved drastically. At times I became very disillusioned and felt like giving up when yet another program folded, or sponsor failed to get in touch and offer support but I learned valuable lessons. And after one such online opportunity disappeared and having convinced a number of people to join me in this, I thought enough was enough and started my own online program. Even that involved a steep learning curve, the site had to be revamped numerous times, parts of the program changed but I put the knowledge I gained from being a ‘newbie’ into building a good stable program. People need support, they want to see proper products and a realistic and achievable pay plan.

So don’t give up, from every bad experience you will learn something, be it a new skill, what to avoid next time, what advertising works or doesn’t and so on…Like life home based business, especially on the internet, is a learning experience which you must embrace.

Make Money Online - Helpful Advice on How to Start

Friday, July 28th, 2006

You are probably reading this article for only a couple of reasons:

1. You do not currently make enough money and need to make more money on a part-time basis without compromising your full-time job. You do not have a lot of time available to make more money.

2. You are not happy in your job or do not like working for a boss. You are looking for an alternative way of earning money, preferably full-time but with something that you can start on a part-time basis.

3. You are already trying to make more money and have tried many different business opportunities but with no or very little success. You realize you need help.

If you can associate with one or more of the above-mentioned reasons for reading this article then please continue reading.

There are millions of people all over the world that do not like what they are doing for a living. Maybe it is the job itself, a rude boss, or not earning enough money to have a decent standard of living. Whatever the reason(s), most people find it very difficult to make a new start.

We are all creatures of habit that dislike change and value safety and security. Starting a business often takes us outside our comfort-zone. We need to build our confidence, not only in ourselves but also in any new opportunity that we are considering.

This can be achieved by:

- Learning as much as possible about any new opportunity.

- Having the possibility of doing it on a part-time basis as a trial to see whether it is any good.

- Spending as little money as possible on any new business opportunity. You don’t want to add more stress to your life by spending lots of money (that you can’t afford to spend) on things that may not work at all.

Many people consider the Internet as the ideal way of making more money. I agree with them. Problem is that most people actually lose more money on the Internet than make money. There are millions and millions of ecommerce websites on the Internet and it is estimated that at least 95% of these websites are losing money every month!

Why do I like to do business on the Internet?

a. It allows me to have an international business, potentially reaching many millions of people all over the world.

b. Like most people I do not enjoy face-to-face selling. With the Internet there is no need for face-to-face selling. No fear of being rejected by customers or insulted by people having a bad-hair-day.

c. I can make money 24 hours a day. Even while sleeping someone can be buying a product or service on my website.

d. I can run my business from anywhere in the world, as long as I have a computer and access to the Internet.

e. Once my business is setup it basically runs on autopilot. That does not mean I do not need to work on it. It means I do not have to spend eight hours every day working on it. One or two hours should be sufficient.

f. It allows me to have my own business with unlimited earning potential. Whatever I put in I can get out. The sky is the limit and I am not working to make my boss or company rich.

Fact of the matter is that it is becoming more and more difficult to ignore the massive ecommerce potential of the Internet. Whether you are selling products or services online or have any other type of business, you need the Internet to promote your business as more and more consumers are doing online searches to find what they are looking for. Does not matter if you are a plumber or an electrician, you will need the Internet more and more in the future to promote your business.

O.K. We have established that the Internet offers us a huge potential to make more money, part-time or full-time. We have also established that most people are not actually making any money from the Internet.

Where do we start?

We start by learning as much as possible at our own pace without forcing anything. Remember that knowledge is power!

I recommend that before you do anything on the Internet that you join a suitable company as an affiliate or join a network marketing company. The point is not whether you want to pursue a
long-term career as an affiliate. The important point is that you can join most affiliate programs for free and receive very valuable information and training for free. In addition, you can actually make a lot of money while learning! This, in my opinion, is the best, safest and easiest way to start.

Many companies that offer affiliate programs do their best to offer their affiliates as much training and support as possible. Why? It is in their best interest. The better advice, training and support they give you the more money you will make for them.

Remember that as an affiliate you do not need to buy or sell anything. You only need to get people to promote the company you are an affiliate of. All sales resulting in your referral will earn you a very nice commission, normally anything between 20% and 50% of the sales price. That is not bad at all! Many companies will even give you a free affiliate website that you can promote.

What is the catch?

The catch is that it is not always easy to promote a certain product or service. People do not automatically visit your affiliate website. This is where the training comes in. If you can succeed as an affiliate for a company you can succeed with your own Internet business in the future. There will be no need to pay expensive school fees.

To your success !

Home Based Businesses - The Change in the Trend

Friday, July 28th, 2006

Few decades back the normal pace of life was very different from which we experience today. In the present era there is a very strong trend of home based businesses which was not there just few decades back. One major reason of this change in trend is that at that time the internet was not used. Now the internet gives you this flexibility of working from the comfort and coziness of your home.

The change in the trend has resulted from the fact that almost every country is experiencing an economic pressure which is growing with the passage of time. The demarcation between the haves and the have nots is becoming even more prominent. In this situation it is not enough that the head of the family remains single bread winner of the family. Now if you want to face the economic stress, all members of the family have to earn and contribute towards running a house hold. Home based businesses can be run by the mothers of infants as well as form those people who are handicapped physically and it is not possible for them to leave their homes in search of a job. The online businesses offer many of such people the chance to make some good money.

If you want to run a home based business, the best way to go about it is to search the internet for the available options. Currently there are many companies in the online world which are looking for individuals who can work form home and provide them with data in excel sheets or who can write a paragraph or two for them. Look for such options and start making money.

How To Get Potential Customers To Do Business With You

Friday, July 28th, 2006

People are beginning to recognize that the Internet offers enormous possibilities to set up a successful online home business for peanuts. Online marketers need to stay ahead of the game because the home business entrepreneur now has access to much more training than they previously did.

Would-be “netpreneurs” are quickly beginning to recognize the products and opportunities that offer true value as well as those that don’t, as they get up to speed on what is needed to get started online. They see so many sales letters, that they no longer fall for the average “hype”. Of course they’re still willing to spend - but they want value for money, and want to be treated like intelligent consumers.

The questions all who aspire be “top affiliates″ should be asking, are…

1) How do you get potential customers to do business with “you” rather than your competition?

2) What motivates those who unsubscribe from your opt-in list?

3) And why would consumers want to ask for a refund?

In other words…
What makes people want to buy your products and sign up for your opportunities?

- Your potential customers should be able to see just how your product will give them new insight or increase their knowledge base in their given niche.

- They will be happily buy your product if it will help to accelerate their online business growth.

- Potential clients will have no problem buying your product if it will automate a time consuming task.

After all, the Internet is about speed, so rather than spend time on repetitive tasks, online marketers seek out products that will speed up their marketing and promotion.

Once “newbies” have been exposed to a few sales pages, it’s doesn’t take them long to ignore the usual sales jargon. They quickly evaluate your sales letter to find out just what your product is really offering them. Do they need it or is it a duplicate of one they bought last year?

Your potential customers expect value for money. What’s in it for them? Will it deliver the information they need? Sometimes the more expensive products are better value and give more information than many of the cheaper ones.

The smart Internet Marketers stay ahead of the game. They realize that by producing material offering truly valuable information, they are more likely to attract and keep new customers.

What Makes People Want to Unsubscribe from your List?
Several things can contribute to this:

- Getting mainly emails that offer very little helpful material with 90% of the content geared towards selling products or opportunities.

- Receiving emails selling the same product or opportunity, because their sender hasn’t worked out his after sale, list transfer procedure.

- Opening an email vibrating with excitement about a new product or service, then getting the same email from six other affiliates marketing the same product or opportunity.

What Makes People Want to Ask for a Refund?

The days when buyers tended to write off a bad purchase are long gone. Customers will ask for a refund, if they feel they did not get value for their money.

What makes them ask for their money back?

- Products that don’t work with their systems such as e-books in “.exe” only format that are not accessible on a Mac computer.

- Software that doesn′t work as advertised.

- An e-book full of content, easily available on the Internet.

- An e-book with very little, poorly written content.

- An e-book that is full of links, or affiliate links. When you charge for an e-book full of affiliate links you run the risk of compromising your reputation as a source of quality information.

Potential customers will happily do business with you if you respect their time and treat them like intelligent consumers.

Growing your Network Marketing Business

Thursday, July 27th, 2006

Matter of fact as soon as you apply this one thing to your life you will see immediate results in a matter of just a few weeks. You will experience growth in your business like never before.

This one thing that I am talking about is having a balanced lifestyle.

Yes, that’s right. Having a balanced life, prioritizing the things that matter most to you, will reward you with success that you only thought happened in the movies.

I know what you are thinking. I even said to myself at the time, “What does having a balanced lifestyle have to do with my building my network marketing business?”

It has everything to do with building your network marketing business!

The reason why is quite simple..

Most people get the misconception that once they get involved in network marketing they are finally going to have the perfect balanced lifestyle that they have always dreamed about.

They are now going to be able to spend more time with their family, take the dream vacation, and have dinner and dancing with their significant other every weekend. Life is now going to be great!

But nothing can be further than the truth.

See it’s not the network marketing opportunity that gives you this type of lifestyle your looking for. It’s you making up in your mind that you are going to make this lifestyle a priority.

For example if you want to spend more time with your family all it takes is simply spending more time with your family. If you want to take you dream vacation all it takes is to cut back and sacrifice on needless spending, work a few extra hours per week and in 6 months you are on your way to the Bahamas. If you want to go dancing with your significant other every weekend all you have to do is cut back on blockbuster video rentals and snicker bars and prioritize it in your schedule.

My point is this if you are wondering why people won’t get involved in your network marketing opportunity it’s because your lifestyle doesn’t represent what you are offering.

That’s exactly why you making up in your mind from today forward that you are going to live a happy peaceful prioritized lifestyle will attract an endless amount of new and interested prospects to your network marketing business because they want what you have.

How to Succeed in Business With Your Spouse and Keep Your Sanity

Thursday, July 27th, 2006

Honey, let’s start a business. Many first time entrepreneurs also happen to be married couples, and for reasons of economy and convenience, the home is the ideal launching pad. Here are seven rules of engagement that can help your mom-and-pop business succeed and your relationship thrive.

1. Never discuss business in the bedroom. When your business partner is also your spouse, you must create safe spaces where business is not spoken. Stick to this rule even when you get an idea so hot you don’t think it can wait until the next day, or you feel a decision must be addressed immediately. Get up and get out into another part of your living space.

2. Have a business plan, but prepare to make changes in it as your enterprise grows and evolves. If nothing else, a plan helps clarify your vision and keeps you on track. Without one, you run the risk of reacting to whatever comes along. A business plan helps you distinguish between what furthers your goals and what distracts from them. The mom-and-pop business, like the bigger ones, needs to get the forest/trees perspective right.

3. Let the talents/interests/tendencies of each partner determine the division of labor and try to stick to it. For example, if one of you is creative or gifted in sales and marketing, give him or her plenty of space to express those talents. At the same time, acknowledge the partner who is stronger in behind-the-scenes activities like strategic planning or budgeting. Agree to delegate any essential tasks neither one wishes to handle, e.g. administrative duties to a virtual assistant, or shipping/handling to a bright highschool student.

4. Impose a structure on your work day, keeping it confined within the hours of business you agree upon. Although you may be around each other 24/7, schedule meetings for specific purposes, take notes as you would in any work setting, and put all follow up tasks on a calendar. In fact, unless you are that rare person with a photographic memory, write everything down. A structure, like the division of labor, helps you to avoid duplicating effort and minimizes the chances of important tasks falling through the cracks.

5. Difficult as it can be, you need to create periods of time where you don’t discuss business at all. This is tough when the business itself is fun and/or fast-paced. Just remember that achieving a good work/life balance is important for its own sake, and your relationship — and perhaps your business as well — will be the better for it. Take an exercise break together or apart. Learn to enjoy being together in silence, reading, meditating, gardening.

5. Avoid criticizing each other, however constructive or well-intended it may seem to you, and focus on what works well and what you can do better, individually and as a team. Practice communication skills you’d use on a client on each other. Make requests of each other, rather than complaining.

6. Agree to consult on and make all the big decisions together, hiring professional help, e.g. accounting or legal, when it is needed. Let the smaller decisions be made by the one chiefly responsible, then stand by that decision. Of course, this is rarely so cut and dried, but it helps to have the intention and trust each other to follow through.

7. Above all, have fun. Learn to laugh at your mistakes. If you’re like many people, you have had work that wasn’t always satisfying or fulfilling. This is an opportunity to create a work enviroment that WORKS for you, with the person you know better than any co-worker or employee, by your side. Enjoy the journey together and celebrate accomplishments and victories, big and small.

Make Extra Money Online - Yes It’s Possible

Thursday, July 27th, 2006

If you really want to make some extra money online then you need to have a plan that starts with something solid. There are ways that you can pocket some cash in a relatively short time if you know where to look for the legitimate offers, and you can do that and have some money in your pocket, or you could use it as a stepping stone to making much more money online if you want to have a more reliable source of online income. The process starts, however, with a simple way of earning some extra cash. Here is the easiest way to get started and make extra money online.

I′m sure that you have seen the online offers for surveys that pay, and if you are like me (and most other people online) you have always been a little suspicious about whether they will work or not. It’s actually a good thing that you have been suspicious of it up till this point because many of these programs are just out to have you make them money and are not willing to reward you at all. Once you have the right online money for survey programs in front of you then you will be in a position to make several hundred dollars in a relatively short period of time. You then have the choice, you can either use that money and buy something that you want (or pay a bill) or you can turn the money that you have earned into something that will keep on earning you money over and over again.

Tim spends his time finding unique ways for people to profit from the Internet and is following a life long dream of being an author.
