MLM Genealogy Leads

Friday, June 30th, 2006

As with any other start up, a new multi-level marketing (MLM) venture owner will look to friends, family, and acquaintances for support. The MLM business owner must sell the parent company’s products or services and contact individuals that might be interested in becoming an independent distributor in his or her network. When the family, friends, and acquaintances have been exhausted, other viable leads may include people who were previously part of an MLM network. These prospects are called MLM genealogy leads.

MLM genealogy leads are the names of people from an MLM company that is no longer in business. Previous MLM independent distributors know that to build a large and successful “downline” – the network of distributors recruited by a business owner – they need fellow networkers to help them build their business.

As with any other type of business, successful MLM business owners rely on their contacts to help their business grow. People involved in MLM ventures often stick together. If one person joins a new network, he or she might persuade others in similar situations to join the network as well. By simply working the MLM genealogy leads, an MLM business owner has the potential to create a rather large network.

Genealogy leads can be acquired through contacts within the MLM company that dissolved, or a list can be purchased from a third party company. With MLM genealogy leads, it is important that the business owner check the leads list against the Do Not Call (DNC) Registry to ensure that the list is updated regularly and that the leads remain fresh.

How To Avoid Some Of The More Common Home Business Scams

Friday, June 30th, 2006

We’ve all seen the ads that proclaim you can earn thousands of dollars working from home. Some even state, “Fire your boss”. The problem with the vast majority of these ads, if not all of them, is that they are getting people all hyped up over something that doesn’t even exist. The truth is that 99 percent of the home business offers that you see are bogus. That’s right, they are just scams. When you see an ad claiming you can make thousands of dollars working from home and the ad has a 1-800 number you can bet they are going to try to sell you some report on how to do it that isn’t worth the paper it is printed on. Let’s take a look at some of the biggest scams so you don’t get taken in by them.

First off you need to look at where the ad was placed. Where did you see the ad? When you receive these ads in your email, regular mail, or on a poster stapled to a telephone pole you can rest assured it is garbage. Ads placed in legitimate newspapers or trade magazines may be more likely to be legitimate but it is still unlikely. The best defense is to be on guard and assume that any home business offer is a scam until proven otherwise.

One of the biggest work at home scams around is that of envelope stuffing. This one has been around for years. I can remember seeing these ads as a teenager and I am 45 today! What these companies usually do is charge you a fee to become involved and then what they do is send you envelopes and ads to place like the one you answered. Yeah, you guessed it; you are stuffing envelopes and sending information to other suckers like you who got roped into the scam. These types of operations are illegal in almost every jurisdiction. Don’t fall for the envelope stuffing scams.

Another way to identify if a home business opportunity is a scam is if they are charging for supplies. Nearly all of these bogus work at home offers will ask you to put up money for supplies that they say are needed to do the work. If anyone asks you to invest in materials it isn′t a legitimate offer. A reputable company that is seeking people to work from home will not require you to pay for anything upfront. If there are things needed such as computer software, they will either provide them free or deduct the fees from your earnings.

Another bogus work from home opportunity you need to be aware of is the one where they send you the materials upfront to make items for them such as clothing, toys, crafts, or other items. At first you may think that it is a reputable operation because they didn′t charge you for the materials. However, what you quickly find out is that when you send in your completed work, they refuse to pay you because it isn′t “up to their standards”. If you are going to do this kind of work do it for yourself.

So there you have it. Some of the more common work at home, business opportunity scams. Just remember the old adage, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is”.

Four Easy Steps To Make Money Online

Friday, June 30th, 2006

Making money online is not a difficult task when you know how. In this writing we’ll discuss four
easy ways to really make money online. It doesn’t matter if you’re a novice or an expert, there
something for everyon e here.

Up front Honesty – first thing first, there is NO program or Marketing system that will do all the
work and make you millions over night. Just imagine if there was. Every one would be a millionaire.
Who would fix the streets or work at the stores you and I would shop at? The good thing for us, is most
people aren’t willing to do what it takes to make money online. With that out of the way let’s move
on.

The easy steps to make money online are Creation, Income Source, promotion and profit. We will
combine all four. And the way we do that is with what I like to call a turnkey money makin g
website, or even a blog, which have become very popular these days.

The best and simplest way to get a website is to get a pre-built website or website template with
WYSIWYG which stands for What You See Is What You Get. It makes it easy for us who don’t know much
about HTML codes. Then of course you’ll need to promote your site by getting traffic and one sure
fire method is article writing and submission, as a matter of fact, your reading this article now
gives testament to that.

You’ll need an Income source. Now does it mean that you have to have you own products to sale on
your website to qualify as an income source, the answer is a big no. One source is clickbank.com
just about every product or program you’ve ever seen on TV is listed there. Clickbank will pay you
a commission just for advertising the product on your website and NO you do not have to bu y it your
self. Another excellent source is Google adsense. This is a code you place on your site that
automatically inserts Google ads, when someone visits your site and clicks those ads, you get pai d.
These are just a few, but in short you need an income source which leads to you making a profit.

These steps or methods are in no way meant to imply that you will become rich online. Like I said,
most are not willing to do the Hard work it takes to really make money online.

Thanks for reading.

7 Reasons Why 87% of Affiliate Marketers Don’t Make Money

Friday, June 30th, 2006

If you are a work at home beginner then being an affiliate is THE most lucrative means to start making money fast. But being an affiliate and being a successful affiliate who’s making money are two different things. You’ll be surprised that 87% of affiliates don′t make more than $175 a month. Are you one of these struggling affiliate marketers? Here are 7 reasons why you could be among those who don′t make money.

1) Saturated Market

One of the most common mistakes that many affiliates make is to join an affiliate program that promotes a product that targets a highly saturated market. That means that the target market you are trying to sell to is full of others who are trying to sell the same thing. Areas such as “internet marketing” and “website traffic″ are areas that relatively new affiliates should be weary of since it’s very hard to sell anything in these markets unless you’ve already made a name for yourself. Stay away from these highly saturated markets and find “niche” markets that you can easily dominate and promote to. This will greatly help you make a profit.

2) No interest in product

This is a mistake that many affiliates do without knowing it. They simply join an affiliate program because it’s “cool” or because someone else told them to. And they figure that by being an affiliate they will get the same benefits. Don’t be fooled. If you don’t have a personal interest in the product you are promoting you won’t put in the effort to actively promote it. And this will ruin your chances of success. If you like what you promote, then it shows through your websites or your written words and this positive influence is transferred to your prospective buyers as well. Make sure you join an affiliate website that promotes a product that interests you.

3) Low profitability

Many affiliates join an affiliate program simply because the payout per sale is huge. Often a single sale might pay you $99.00. And you think it’s a good product to promote. But you forget the fact that to earn $99.00 you have to sell a product that’s $299.00. Thus a single sale could be hard to make as compared to a much lower priced item. Therefore concentrate on joining an affiliate program that pays a higher percentage yet has a product price that is low or moderate. A 50% commission of a product that costs $50 is a good deal because you will be able to sell more of that product that the high priced ones.

4) No pre-selling

Many affiliates simply advertise their affiliate URL. They put their entire faith on the main affiliate website that they are sending people to. Thus your success is in someone else’s hands. Why take the risk? Why not pre-sell the idea of the product and get the prospect into a buying mood by preparing them for what they will find at the affiliate main site? A well constructed product review can be the ideal pre-sell for any product. Advertise your website that reviews the product and let the prospect visit the main site via your website. Once you “prep” them up, the sale is far more easier to make.

5) No Link cloaking

As I mentioned before, many affiliates use their affiliate URLs in advertising. This means that their affiliate Ids are plainly visible to anyone who wants to replace it with their own and thus steal a sale from you. Thus you must employ some form of link cloaking or encryption so that your affiliate links don’t get stolen or hijacked. Why chance it when you can prevent link theft?

6) No focus

A common mistake of an affiliate is to join an affiliate network and start promoting ALL of the network’s products at once. This “shot gun” affect can shoot down your profits simply due to the fact that you have no focus and thus your advertising efforts are wasted. Always pick one or two related products and maintain your focus. This way you can tune your marketing efforts without the other product cannibalizing your profits.

7) No targeted traffic

And lastly the most common mistake is to have no targeted traffic. Website traffic means nothing unless you get targeted traffic. Simply joining click exchanges or traffic exchanges will not make your affiliate checks soar. You simply MUST employ methods of FREE targeted traffic generation and keep generating traffic in this manner if you want your profits to increase as well.

There you have it. If you can avoid those 7 mistakes, then you will become a Super Affiliate that finally earns the kind of money you′ve always dreamed of.

Building a Home Internet Business

Thursday, June 29th, 2006

Building a home internet business can be daunting, but with the right effort, it can be done. Developing a marketing plan will help your business grow. It’s not hard to create or utilize. Yet it does need to be used regularly for it to be effective.

In building a home internet business, your advertising strategies need to be planned every week. To start with, advertise in the same areas all the time and record your responses. Find out where and when your ads were, and how many people looked at them. Doing this online is easy with “ad trackers″ and “website statistics trackers″.

After you find out how your first ads did, branch out to other kinds of advertising both online and offline. You can start with free ads and maybe even to go to “pay per click″ submission services” after earning some money. Research has indicated that a customer may have to view an ad five or six times before making a response. You may have to place ads for weeks before you see results.

To help determine a marketing plan for building a home internet business, ask the following questions:

Who would be my customers and potential customers?

What characteristics would they have?

Where would they live?

How much spending power do they have?

Is my product the best it can be?

Would my prices be considered right by potential customers?

What is my business’ reputation?

How does my business compare to businesses in the same field?

The answers to these questions would help you devise a marketing plan. In answer to the first question, you can find out who your audience is by making a profile of your ideal customer. In answer to the last question, study your competition. Find out their strengths and weaknesses. Can you do something that they can′t? Can they do things you don′t or can′t do?

Advertising is a crucial factor in building a home internet business. Advertising can inform customers of the benefits of your product, give you an identity and reputation, and lure new customers and replace lost ones. You can do cheap advertising research by going to the library. Sources you might want consider in a library are Gales directory, Bureau of Labor Statistics, economic statistics and research, and population and demographic research.

Emarketing is viable in building a home internet business. It’s much cheaper than direct mail and can be as effective. Studies have shown that emarketing response rates are higher than direct mail’s–5% to 35% compared to 1% to 3%.

If you offer an email newsletter, you can gather demographic information of customers such as age, gender, income, and hobbies which can help you target your advertising. With careful research, you can use advertising to your advantage in your home internet business.

Network Marketing Training- MLM Success Secrets to Powerful Three Way Calling

Thursday, June 29th, 2006

Three way calling! Three way calling! You gotta do three way calling in MLM!

You may be wondering what all the talk is about concerning three way calling in MLM and Network marketing.. Good point! You need to have an understanding of what it is, and basics of doing it. It is an effective way to do this business and very cost effective as well.

Understand….once you have contacted your friends and family , you need to do what is called a “three way call” with them, with your MLM sponsor on the line with you to help not only train you, but to help build your new network marketing business.

This will do three things:

1)Build credibility.

2)Validate you and the product.

3)Help train you as you listen to your sponsor talk to your Network Marketing prospect.

What is 3-way calling in MLM?

It is a technology and a tool available from your local phone company that allows 3 people to talk to each other on the phone. We use it in Network Marketing to train, validate, and help you “earn while you learn.”

Let your sponsor in the MLM company you are in walk you through. They are there to help you and guide you in the early stages of your business. Contact your telephone company to install it on your line. It runs about 5.00 a month.

How do you do a three way call?

It is as simple as 1-2-3.

You call your sponsor, and give them a short background on the prospect, (name, age, occupation etc) and then press the “flash” button on your phone, or the receiver button, and then dial the number of your friend, and then when it starts ringing, press the “flash” button again, and you will have both parties on the line.

A three way call is broken down into three parts:

1) “Introduction”

This is where you introduce your sponsor to your prospect:

* Do not let them carry on a conversation with you first, and then tell them someone is on the line…it is embarrassing to everyone!

“Have I caught you at a good time? Great! I have a friend/ associate/expert/partner/ -Mary- on the line who is an expert with this product and company that I mentioned to you, and I told her about you, and she really wants to meet you after what she heard…so I told her how awesome it would be if you guys met just for a second via phone….Mary, are you there?”

Stay quiet and listen to your sponsor.

2) “The Expert” - your sponsor or upline who is calling with you.

During the call, your sponsor will reaffirm what you have told them. And also validate you. There are many different ways to do three ways, but always ask questions about the prospect, and show you are INTERESTED IN THEM! Your sponsor will also help get your prospect to the next event, and also say something about you as a serious player in this business-(and if you are doing three ways –you ARE SERIOUS!)

3) “The Summary” or Next Move.

This will be to summarize what has been agreed to by the prospect, and also to thank them for their time and how forward you are looking to see them.

“Lisa, I am so excited about you meeting Mary tomorrow night, and I know that you will enjoy our get together! See you tomorrow night!”

Practice with your sponsor over and over, and get three ways down. Network Marketing is driven by three ways, and it is the most powerful tool there is for third party validation, and recruiting.

The secret to a powerful three way in MLM?

ROLE PLAY-ROLE PLAY-ROLE PLAY.

Get your new distributor and make sure they practice, drill, rehearse three ways. The more that they do, the better they will become.

Mastering Three ways is the hidden secret to massive Success in MLM and Network marketing.

Starting A Home Business Is Easier Than You Think

Thursday, June 29th, 2006

Fear is the biggest culprit of failed home businesses. In this day and age, starting a home business can be so cheap, quick and easy, a lack of action and follow-through on whatever home business plans you come across is devastating. And it is the fear of failure, and the simple acknowledgment of the existence of failure, that prevents people from starting a home business.

Don’t let fear get in the way of your dreams. Starting a home business is so simple that it can be done completely cost-free and risk-free, aside from the hour or two you might spend a day working on your home business. Consider this home business startup opportunity that many people are doing to bring in several thousands of dollars per month: affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is the process of promoting another person’s product, and receiving a commission fee based on the sale price for every customer you convert. There are several affiliate programs on the internet you can join to start your home business.

By becoming an affiliate you don’t have to worry about inventory costs, customer service, shipping costs, product creation costs, and all the usual risks associated with staring a home business. Because these product owners already have a website, your only job is to direct traffic to their website. In fact, it could be as simple as building a simple redirect website home page, for free, that sends a customer directly to the product’s website. Starting a home business has never been easier.

You can setup your own blog, for free, do simple keyword research on popular research engines, and then tailor your content posts and article writing to these keywords that target the market niche for the product with which you are affiliated.

Starting a home business is not as frightening as most people think, and it can be much more enjoyable and take less time than YOU think.

Medical Transcription - Myths and Realities: The Basics

Thursday, June 29th, 2006

Unless you have some sort of super anti-spam e-mail blocker installed on your computer, you have probably received e-mails with titles such as “Make $150,000 a year as an at home medical transcriptionist - no investment required”. Many of these e-mails are nothing but solicitations to try and get you to buy some sort of e-book, or other item, that will teach you how to become a medical transcriptionist. While remembering that many of these e-mails are nothing more than spam, it is equally important to remember that many of them are legitimate.

To start with, medical transcription is one of the fastest-growing of the medical related career fields. A study conducted about 6 years ago found that transcription, and related fields, would continue tremendous growth for many years to come. This is due in part to the rapid advance in the number of retiring “baby boomers”. As well, virtually all medical career fields are nearly recession proof, as no matter what the economic climate, people are always going to need medical care; thus, doctors and other medical professionals are always going to need medical transcriptionists.

In essence, a trained medical transcriptionist can take the notes (most commonly being voice recordings) of doctors, nurses, etc., and translate them into various forms, including medical reports, charts, etc. Potential medical transcriptionists will need good listening skills, as medical terminology may sound the same, but have different meanings depending upon the context in which it’s used. The final results of a medical transcriptionists work must be 100% accurate, as this work is what’s used to document a patient’s medical history. As well, a transcriptionist’s work may be utilized during certain legal proceedings, so everything must always be perfect. Legal matters can hinge entirely on the accuracy of the transcriptions. And, no matter what the outcome of the proceedings, all transcripts most generally become a matter of public record.

A medical transcriptionist is normally employed in one of the following 4 ways:

In an actual hospital
In a doctor’s office, clinic, or other outpatient medical care facility
In labs, medical schools, third-party transcription services, etc.
As independent or “home-based” medical transcriptionists

Most appealing to potential new transcriptionists is the possibility of working from home. While being home-based has its benefits, it has its challenges as well. The lack of a normal “9 to 5″ work schedule, and structured office environment are two good examples of such challenges. As well, if you decide to become home-based, you will likely need to form your own business legally, set up your tax requirements, etc. All of this is really not anywhere near as difficult as it may sound. But all potential home-based transcriptionists will want to keep these things in mind.

The MLM Success Secret

Wednesday, June 28th, 2006

I′ve found a way to do this MLM thing without all the negative stuff that usually goes with it. Nobody has to know you’re doing it, and you can do it WITHOUT LOSING MONEY. I′m willing to do what few people in this business have done before— TELL YOU THE TRUTH.

FIRST, you should NEVER buy products from ANY network marketing company— unless you WANT to. In other words, don’t buy something just so you can get qualified to make money. Pick a company that has something you would use and buy anyway— even if there was NO CHANCE for you to make money. That way it’s easy to find people who want the product, and lots of these people added together is what makes you money.

NEXT, only talk about what you’re doing to INTERESTED PEOPLE who understand and know what to do. You’re looking ONLY for customers who ALSO want to make some EXTRA INCOME. Not FREE MONEY, not millions of dollars overnight, but a growing income stream of up to $1,000 a month or more— WITHIN A YEAR.

The best kept secret in MLM is that you can do this with ANY COMPANY, as long as they have products that people want and are willing to pay for. They also must have a FAIR, LEGAL, and ETHICAL compensation plan that pays you money WHEN YOU EARN IT.

You′ll find that the key to building any MLM business is your ASSOCIATION with people who will help you get the job done— people who are BUYING and SELLING products. They can be the best customers in the world, but if they ONLY buy products and NEVER open their mouths to also offer products to others, your MLM business will NOT GROW and you will NOT MAKE MONEY.

Only look for people who will buy the products AND recommend them to others.

Best MLM Leads

Wednesday, June 28th, 2006

One of the many challenges facing your new Multi-Level Marketing business is obtaining the best MLM leads. Whether you choose to purchase the best MLM leads or develop them yourself, you need to pay close attention to the quality of those leads. There are some common characteristics of the best MLM leads that make them more suited to building your business.

First, the best MLM leads have not been sold over and over. If you are purchasing your leads from a lead development company, you want fresh leads, as you will not want to contact someone that has been through the marketing process time and time again. Therefore, the best MLM leads are your own exclusive leads.

Another characteristic of the best MLM leads is that they are newer leads. The benefit of obtaining your own leads is that you are contacting them in real time, meaning within 24 to 48 hours after they express interest. The companies offering the best MLM leads will usually tell you that they offer real time leads so you can get in contact with the best MLM leads while their interest is fresh. If you are looking to purchase the best MLM leads you will want to make sure you get the best for your money. When you are first trying to develop your downline, the more leads you have the better. So the companies offering you a greater number of the best MLM leads for the lowest price will usually work to your benefit.

You will also want to ask about the quality of the leads from any company that promises you the best MLM leads. This means that you will want to make sure your best MLM leads come with basic information like a phone number and e-mail address as well as more descriptive information like how much they are willing to invest and the best time to contact the lead. The best MLM leads give you the most information about your prospect so that you can cater your sales pitch to the potential client.

A high response rate is indicative of a company providing you with the best MLM leads. A lot of your particular response rate will depend on your own sales pitch and your ability to know how to approach each of your best MLM leads, which will improve with time and practice. However, the best MLM leads contribute to the ease in which you succeed.

Finally, the best MLM leads that you purchase should come with additional features like an autoresponder or training. Other extras that come with the best MLM leads include e-mail marketing letters, phone scripts, a website, flash presentations, and more. These extras are designed to help you contact and use your best MLM leads are the most effective way.
