The Advantages of Having a Home Business

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

The most evident advantage of having a home business is that you can be more involved in your family life. I’m not just talking about stay at home Moms. A good deal of the time, the man is the main breadwinner. Often he is away from home most of the week. Today’s man values his family life. He wants to help raise his children. Having a “work at home” business allows him to actively participate with the children. Because so many businesses are failing or downsizing, the online business field has become very popular.

Whether it is the husband or the wife (often couples work as a team in a home business) there is someone there for the kids. No taking off work if your child is sick. You don’t have to ask the boss if you can take off early to see your son’s soccer game. You are there. The amount of quality time you can spend with your children will greatly increase.

Many lines in your family budget will decrease when you start working from home. Gas prices have gone sky high! It doesn’t take any gas to walk from the bedroom to the home office. Look at the time you will save with no commute.

Your clothing budget will probably decrease also. There is no need for expensive dress clothes and shoes when you are working from home. No longer will you feel like you have to go out to lunch with your office mates. Keep that refrigerator stocked with fruits, vegetables and other nutritious items. Not only will you save money, but you will be healthier.
You will also save on your taxes. I cannot give advice on this subject since I am not a qualified accountant, but some of the advantages are obvious. Part of your mortgage will become tax deductible if you have a dedicated office area. Of course items that you buy for the business are deductible. Don’t be afraid to spend money on advertising your business. It is deductible. If you are serious about your home business, you need the advice of an accountant. You will benefit from it.

To me, one of the best reasons to have a home business is that I am my own boss. I have always worked very hard for other people. Sometimes I was rewarded, usually I wasn’t. As my own boss, I will reap all the rewards of my hard work. I won’t have to put up with the idiosyncrasies of a boss. I will not have to deal with office politics. I am the boss and I am in charge.

The greatest reward I have found in having my own “work at home” business is that I now have so much more confidence in myself. It was really scary starting out, but as I progress, my self-confidence grows. I am learning new things. Who would think a 60 year old would learn HTML so she could redesign her website? I did it! I have learned to network with others in my field. So much can be learned form them. As I grow in knowledge, I will pass it on to those new in the field.

I encourage you to investigate the “work at home” industry. Don’t jump on promises of overnight wealth. It doesn’t happen. Look for a legitimate, stable opportunity. If you have the dream of working from home, do something about it. Don’t just dream, take action. With work and determination, who knows what you will be able to accomplish.

Jan Wilhelm has compiled for you a directory of legitimate, low or no investment “work at home” opportunities. There is something there for everyone. Stop Dreaming. Start Making Money. Visit ProfitsR4U.com ProfitsR4U.comfor your future business.

How To Succeed With MLM Marketing

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

Without planting the correct seeds in the beginning, you can never get a good crop. This is same with MLM Marketing opportunities. If you join Network Marketing and take these steps, then you will be enabled to find success in Network Marketing and also a lot faster.

Succeeding with Network Marketing opportunities requires time. And within this time that you spend with your Network Marketing home business opportunity, you will have to put in a lot of effort and learning to be able to achieve the full potential that Network Marketing offers. Network Marketing opportunities are no way a get rich quick scheme. If you choose to get into Network Marketing simply because of the hype or you believe that you will get rich quick then get out quick because you will not succeed with Network Marketing.

Network Marketing requires people who genuinely want to help others. And this is a great key for success with Network Marketing. When you choose to help people and you genuinely do want to help people, then more people will be attracted to you who need your help. Imagine with a Network Marketing opportunity, you can take people who are struggling financially and help them get out of debt and get into wealth.

3 steps to a great foundation in a Network Marketing home business opportunity:

- Setting an outcome
- Doing setting goals
- Deciding

Now let’s take a look in depth at each of these crucial parts in achieving success with Network Marketing. They are truly a key foundation in your long-term journey. Think of them with the analogy of going on the long journey. It is your map to take you to a destination.

The first thing that you must do before you join a Network Marketing opportunity is to know what you want from the Network Marketing opportunity, this is your outcome. Imagine a door in front of you, now when you open this door you see exactly what you want. Not a goal, but how you would like life to be. Think of why you want to be part of the Network Marketing opportunity. After all, if you have everything you need then why are you choosing to join a Network Marketing opportunity? Your outcome is the end step. So, you open the door and when you take a step into that new world. That is the end step, your outcome.

Now think of your goals. Most people think of goals as an end step however goals are simply focused items that we want to achieve. They miss out a crucial part of what we really want to achieve. You may want to get rich and earn a 6 figure income and what would happen if you do and with that have no kind of life. So now we take our outcome, our vision and look at the parts. We take the car, the house, the spouse, etc And we set them as goals.

Making a decision is a crucial part of all this. By making a decision, you are cutting off all other routes. You have stated that you want and expect to succeed. You have said “I am going this way” and go about making it happen. To make a decision will require knowing where you want to go to first. When you do, you will be on the way to your success.

Product Creation Versus Affiliate Marketing

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

One of the mistakes that many new marketers make is to think that product creation (creating their own product and selling it online) is too hard. So they opt for affiliate marketing. It’s easier and it works.

So when I ran across a particular discussion at the Warrior internet marketing forum recently, it definitely caught my eye.

The topic under discussion was which is better - affiliate marketing or product creation?

Both sides were ably represented. But for me, the most potent contribution was made by a highly successful marketer. Let’s call him The Man. He uses his own name at the forum and his name is well known. If I mentioned him, you’d probably know him unless you are somewhat new to the internet marketing scene.

The Man shared the fact that last month, his affiliate program paid out a FIVE FIGURE SUM in commissions to his affiliates. That means his affiliates had sold enough of his products to generate at least $10,000 in commissions (perhaps a great deal more). With a commission rate of 50%, that means his sales figures were at very least $20,000 last month.

So The Man is no minnow.

I say all that to say this: The Man has credibility. What he writes is noteworthy.

And here are his shocking statements, presented in my words:

* Product owners do NOT want any new competition, so they encourage you to promote THEIR stuff rather than create your own.

* Product owners would prefer you focus on affiliate marketing because you will promote THEIR products.

* The Man also made the point that his highest earning affiliates ALL have their own products or services or they are experts.

Think about that.

What I read at the Warrior forum that day, from a widely recognized authority, comes down to one conclusion. No matter how new you are to online marketing and home business, you should definitely plan to create your own products. If you′d like more information on how to do that, you′re welcome to join my mailing list.

Does affiliate marketing have any place? Sure it does. While you′re building your product range, supplement your income with affiliate recommendations. Like the big guys do.

Finally, a suggestion…

Are You Earning the Most from Your House Cleaning Jobs?

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

It’s great when you have a base of clients you service on a
regular schedule. And if you’re running your house cleaning business for
maximum profit, then you know you have to have a base set
of tasks that you perform. But how can you earn more from
these clients? After all it costs you advertising dollars
to go out and get more clients.

Why should you have a base set of tasks? Because if you
don′t, your client is always going to ask for more, and they
won′t want to pay for it.

When your client asks for extra tasks to be done during
their scheduled house cleaning service, you need to be ready with a way to
charge for these extras. Time is money and I’m sure you
have already quoted them a standard fee for their regular
service; so the extra fee is justified.

Have a list ready of your add-on services with the
corresponding price. This establishes the credibility of
the add-on service and the price you have established.
With this in hand, your client will be ready to discuss
the service and agree upon a date. You can add this on
to their next scheduled appointment or set aside a specific
date and time.

If you always give away service, you will never grow your
house cleaning business. To grow your business, you must always be
thinking ahead for ways you can improve your house cleaning service and
increase your profits. Owning a business is a work in progress with no specific end; just
annual tune-ups that are needed along the way.

What Does it Take to Go From Failing to $500,000 in A Home Based Business?

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

I remember the first time I created my Excel file, I had columns for the person I called, the email address, the location, the time to call and the result. In the result section was a Yes or a No, and a reason. Never in a million years did I think I’d go past 500 dials, but something inside of me snapped when I did, and it became a proving marathon for me. What on earth did these successful people have that I didn’t was my constant thought. So I dialed, and dialed, and read the script, and dialed. Nothing. My results were nothing. 3000 dials and nothing, period, nadda, zip, zero, no income.

So how on earth did I get past this cement wall of failure? What ended up breaking and took me to the other side? It sure wasn’t hype and believe me, it wasn’t listening to some guru regurgitate how he created seven million dollars in 30 days and I could too nonsense. I followed a step by step system that was more like a recipe. Each step took precision, each ‘ingredient’ took careful accuracy, and then it happened, someone said the words I had prayed for , “What do I do to get started?”

Do you realize that more than 50% of the people who are filling out forms online to work from home really do want to work from home? Has it ever dawned on you that the people asking for more information about working from home really are serious about doing that? So what is it then, why do most never join or worse yet, in my case is the majority, why do so few succeed when they do join?

Let’s look at this carefully. When I was over $ 400,000 in debt, which included my mortgage, my medical bills, everything - I was seriously looking for a way out. I didn’t want a hand out, I wanted someone to teach me how to get this debt out of my life. I wanted freedom, I wanted a new life. I believed what I heard in the ads, I believed what I heard when people said they had done it, I was sincere and I was ready to go. Yet, I spoke to 9 people before I ever joined a company. 8 of those people should get another line of work is all I am going to say. I believe that the methods that are used in prospecting, the present lack of skill and honestly plain stupidity that exists in most people’s prospecting methods are the reason that so few succeed or ever get started.

You see, during those 3000 dials I was begging, I was selling, I was threatening, I was using every method known to man to get someone to join me. My focus was streamlined, it was on me. I had my eye on the target, getting myself out of debt. And this constant focus on myself is what I believe was a key ingredient, not the only thing of course, but a key reason why I failed so miserably. (For more on that visit my trainer’s website: danijohnson.com) The second reason I failed is simple- I didn’t know what the heck I was doing. I was doing what I thought others were doing but I was cutting corners, trying to make things easier, always treating my business like it had better not become the sole reason for my existence or I was going to quit. I was out to prove everyone wrong and the only one left in the balance was myself.

You see if you become a mechanic, you are going to learn how cars operate. You’ll have to learn how each intrical part operates. You’ll eventually learn to recognize when things are not working and why it might be. It will become second nature to you if you stick with the training and then the hands on work long enough. Eventually you might know what is wrong with a car just from hearing the symptoms. This is exactly what happened to me in my home based business. Now I can hear what someone’s problems are in their business and many times direct them to what will fix it. I can ‘hear’ personal growth issues, I can hear unbelief, I can hear doubt, I can hear the salesman that is trying hard to sell me or the fear induced terror that is really trying to get me to say ‘no’.

When I finally succeeded, I got training, I exposed myself to those who were successful. I listened to what they taught, I did what my trainer told me to do, verbatim and I even set records in the database of clients she coached, over 200,000 people. Not breaking the rules, not trying to figure out the why, how come, what for of everything, I ended up making $ 12,000 in under 90 days. Eventually I locked into a career mentality that my trainer taught ( and lived!) and I took on my home based business like a person after a Master’s Degree in Medicine. Working only 20 hours per week I made every 60 seconds count, and it paid off. It still is. The reason I now run 3 companies from my home, one home business, one retail beverage distribution and a marketing firm is because of what I was taught and what I experienced in my home based business experience.

Today we are debt free, we live with a lot less junk in our lives. Simple is what you could call us. We’re happier, truly free and honestly, wiser than ever before. What taught me that? What I learned in my home based business. Visit my trainer’s site for more info. It’s free so you might as well! danijohnson.com And please, don’t give up on your dreams. It took me 3000 dials to get a grip on what it would take to be successful. You can do it too.

Motivation - Only YOU Can Do It!

The Internet
Marketing
and home
based business
boom has
virtually drowned us in various programs and
systems through which you can earn
money by working from home. The
problem with this is that many people seem to have forgotten that
“working at home” actually means
WORKING, even if it is in the
comfort of your own home. If I had
a dollar for every person who signed up for program after
program,
and then just sat down and waited for something to happen - I would be
rich enough to buy a small country. The worst part is that those
who fall into this trap end up broke and will thus
despise everything that has to do with Internet marketing for
the
rest of their lives.

One reason for this phenomena is undoubtably the somewhat unrealistic
claims often being made in sales letters for Internet marketing tools
and programs. And many network marketing programs would have you
believe that you “just have to sign up″ and then the system will do all
the work for you. However, I
don’t think we can shift all of the blame on “the system”. After all,
when was the last time you believed a typical tv-commercial or sales
pitch to be 100% objective and truthful? What makes you think
advertising on the Internet would be any different?

Regardless of what you are trying to promote online, be it your own
product(s), an affiliate program or a multi-level marketing company,
the fact is that it will take time
and effort
before you reach your goal. Your mental attitude towards the project is
therefore of utmost importance. Information on specific things, like
getting web site traffic or publishing your own newsletter, is readily
available on good sites about home based business and Internet
Marketing - just like the site you are visiting right now.
Finding
people who will teach you all they know about Internet marketing is not
a problem. But it will be entirely up to you to take action
and realize your dreams.

Marketing your Home based Business Website

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

So you now have your own home based business and you have a website promoting your products or services. You sit and wait expecting fame and riches but the orders are not coming in. Where all the customers in this global marketplace you are now part of? You thought they would be beating down your door to send you money.

A home based online business is not any different from a traditional brick and mortar business in the sense that if no one knows you are there no one will come. You must aggressively market your home based business. There are millions of websites on the internet and possibly thousands who are selling products are services similar to yours.

How can you market your website online so that people can find your business? How do you set yourself apart from the competition?

There are plenty of low cost strategies you can take to increase your chances of being found by potential customers on the world wide web.

1. Put your website URL address on everything. It should be on your business cards, your letterhead and any other materials you use for promotion. Your website address should be at the end of every e-mail you send as part of your signature. For example, if you have a website that sell leather apparel you might sign all of your e-mails with something like:

John Doe
John Doe Leather Company
www.doeleather.com

2. Submit your website URL to the major search engines. If they do not add your site to their computers then you will never be found. You are better off to go to each search engine and submit your site on your own than paying a search engine submission site to do it for you. You can do it for free yourself and if you pay a service you have no way of knowing whether they actually submitted your site or not.

3. Subscribe to various Internet forum which pertain to your particular industry. Post message on these boards and each time you do sign your name and website address just like you do in your e-mails. Be careful though not to only appear to be promoting your website. If it becomes apparent that you are spamming for your site then you will be kicked out of the forum. When you post make sure to post insightful, relevant information pertaining to the topic.

4. Set up a Blog and post to it daily about the topic of your home based business. This is currently one of the hottest Internet marketing tools on the web. A blog is like an online dairy. Every time you post to your blog sign your posting with your name, business name and url address. For more information on blogs try searching on the term and you should find plenty of resources available.

5. Include keywords pertaining to your home based business all over your website and within the title of your website. It is not considered appropriate to simply type your keywords over and over again. This is considered spam and you could be kicked off of a search engine for doing that. Instead include lots of relevant text on your website including your keywords within the content as naturally as possible but as often as possible without going overboard and sounding silly.

The above strategies do not cost anything to implement and if done consistently over time will increase the chances of people finding your website and consequently buying whatever it is you are selling through your home based business.

To your success!

Going It Alone On The Internet

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

If you’re itching to leave that lousy job and its drudgery behind, and you greatly yearn to be your own boss, there are options for doing that. You don’t have to come up with the latest new gimmick or the best idea since sliced bread before you can strike out on your own with an internet home based business.

One of the options for an internet home based business, if you don’t have a creative dream about your own product, is to buy into a franchise. This, basically, is a way of living your own dream of having your own internet home based business while jumping on the bandwagon of someone else’s proven dream. It’s also a way of learning from those who have already been there and done that. People and businesses who own franchises have generally created the initial idea themselves. They have been through the trial and error process of making it succeed and are now ready, for a fee, to teach others what they learned, while guiding them to success.

Of course, there are many drawbacks for buying a franchise as your way of getting an internet home based business going. If you’re bent on being your own boss, you’ll find there are many franchises who place so many restrictions on what you can and can’t do, what your internet home based business must offer and how, that you might feel like you’ve left your dream behind and taken up with someone else’s nightmare.

Another way of having your own internet home based business without coming under someone else’s thumb (and perhaps paying a fortune in franchise fees in the process), when you don’t have your own new product or idea in mind, is to buy a proven business that is for sale.

Before you buy another person’s or persons’ internet home based business, though, you’ll want to do plenty of research. You’ll want to determine, first, the real reason they’re selling, if you can. Look online at sites that offer businesses for sale and you might find opportunities here, but you can also assess the comparable value of internet home based business ventures such as the one you’re considering. Business realtors can help you find your own business, but they don’t typically work with the internet home based variety.

Any owner of an internet home based business that is for sale owes potential buyers a due diligence package. This pack should have prior year tax returns, any contractual obligations of the business including property leasing. Any agreements with employees or contractors should be includes, as well as its incorporation articles and any litigation such as lawsuits.

A copy of the firm’s credit report should be seriously studied before buying an internet home based business.

Idiot’s Guide to Starting a Home Business

Monday, November 28th, 2005

So why does everyone want to work from home?? I’ll tell you why, because working 9 to 5 SUCKS!!

Hey don’t listen to me, here are the stats: According to The MicroEnterprise Journal “In the last 25 years, self-employment has grown by almost 300%, fueled by waning employee loyalty and growing worker dissatisfaction.” And the US Census Bureau reports that “90% percent of all U.S. businesses employ between ZERO and FOUR workers, making this the fastest growing segment of the business community.” See I told you!

Everywhere you look on the Internet we’re bombarded with sites peddling “work at home” opportunities. The stats prove it, we’re all looking to get out of the 9 to 5 rat race. The biggest problem is that MOST of the so called “work-at-home” related websites are so bogged down with clutter, fluff and double talk that you’d have to be a friggin robot to find and process the information you need in order to understand what the heck to do.

So where can an Idiot like me get the information I need contained in a simple, concise format that’s easy to understand and follow? Well nowhere really. That’s why I wrote this article and condensed the whole process down into 5 Summarized Steps, so that maybe other Idiot’s like me will have a fighting chance in hell to get out of the “Rat Race”.

Idiot Step 1:

SELECTING a business – simple enough right…wrong. Questions to ask yourself: What do I like to do? What will make money? What is available? Can I make Money?

These are tough questions. These days, most people are scouring ways to make money on the Internet. If considering a TV or Internet program, do as much independent research as possible on the program you’re interested in and find something that fits your personality so that you will excel no matter what.

Whatever you do use common sense and don’t allow desperation to influence your decisions.

Start-Up Nation - www.startupnation.com offers SOUND advice and has tons of RELIABLE resources for selecting a home business.

Idiot Step 2:

PLANNING your business. You will have to have some “form” of a business plan before you get started with a home business. Even if you are the only one that will ever read it, you should definitely put a plan together on paper.

An informal business plan should contain a start-up budget (money you need to get to the point of doing business) and an operating budget (money you need on a weekly basis just to keep doing business).

Be certain to include all overhead expenses and be sure to include a budget for advertising. Also you should note any significant milestones you hope to achieve and list your financial goals in a time-line fashion.

Idiot Step 3:

FUNDING your home business. Every business has start-up costs and your new home-based business will be no different. As the old saying goes “You need money to make money”. So where do you get the money you need to start?

The simplest way for home business owners to get the money they need is from the principal owner’s own pockets…that means YOU! Like myself, many work at home entrepreneurs simply use their own savings to fund their businesses, using money from personal resources such as…

· Savings

· Personal Investments

· Credit Card Advance

· Sale of Assets

· Second Mortgage Loan

…are all ways to finance a small business start-up using your own funds.

The alternative to funding it yourself is to apply for a small business loan. The biggest issue there is that unless you have sufficient collateral, or any related experience in your field of business, you may not qualify for this type of loan.

The Small Business Administration - www.sba.gov has a TON of information and resources for start-up businesses. It contains valuable info on locating financing and it contains several links to other business resources, planning tools and calculators.

Idiot Step 4:

STARTING your home business. Once you’ve chosen your great new home business, and have got your starting cash in reserve, it’s time to get you up and running. But before you do, you will have to do some preliminary work just to get to the point where you can actually start operating.

Two-thirds of all small business are solo operations. Therefore, when you’re a “one-man band”, you must wear different hats and assume several roles as the “head” of various departments.

You’re the CEO, sales manager, director of marketing, director of finance, the shipping clerk, receptionist, the janitor…you get the drift Fonzi?

Because of your heavy load, you need quality office equipment, supplies, software and business services to keep you, I mean your “departments”, running smoothly and at peak efficiency.

Choose the right office equipment and machines that will keep you operating at peek efficiency.

Idiot Step 5:

MARKETING your home business. Now that you’ve got your business funded and operational you will need to implement a marketing and advertising campaign so that you can start attracting customers and finally start making some money.

This isn’t “Field of Dreams”. If you build it, that doesn’t mean they will come.

In order to draw customers to your business, you MUST do some form of repeated advertising, and you should definitely have a plan in place so that you can budget it into your overall Business Plan when you first start.

A good place to start is by reading Jay Conrad Levinson’s series of Guerilla Marketing books. This is standard reading for any small business entrepreneur. You can learn some very useful and basic techniques that will help you form a great and inexpensive plan.

Everything contained here was condensed to fit into a short article format. Obviously there’s a bit more to it. But if this Idiot’ can do it, so can you.

Just don′t be intimidated. Start off really, really small, maybe just part-time to start. Take one step at a time. But whatever you do, just get off your keister and get started!

“U can do it…just dive into it”

Recruiting Website - Do You Really Need It?

Monday, November 28th, 2005

Organization size – the yardstick for success

So, we understood that our organization size determines the size of our success as MLM distributors. We also know that like any other line of business, success is directly linked to hard work.

We have also heard many advices from all directions, some of which we have even adopted. Most of us have already crystallized working methods that seems to be working for us.

However, it is clear to us that without constantly checking ourselves, our methods and beliefs, without attention to new technical options, constant learning and self improvement, we will not be able to extract the most out of our business potential.

Without disapproving any of the current operating methods to find and recruit prospects, I would like to shed some light, and logically analyze, one of the most effective ways to increase our organization steadily: The recruiting Website.

Recruiting prospects as a number game

Let us understand one simple fact: Prospects’ recruiting is a statistical matter! It is a number game. To simplify the explanation let me define the following terms:

A – Number of prospects which have been accessed in a certain period.

B – Number of distributors out of A

After working in Network marketing for some time we realize that for each distributor – or organization - there is (in average) a constant relation between A and B. In other words: from A number of prospects we can recruit only B number of distributors to our organization.

This relation between A and B is called “Conversion rate”.

What is your conversion rate?

For a demonstration of this concept, think about your experience for the last 12 months. How many people you have approached (personally or your organization in total)? How many of them are in your organization today as distributors? It’s a very low number. Isn’t it?
Without going into the reasons, let us accept it – at this stage – as a fact.

Let us assume that from every 100 prospects you have approached, 2 prospects have become distributors. Hence, your conversion rate is 2%. It becomes clear now that if your goal is adding 4 distributors to your organization, you have to find and “process” at least 200 prospects. You may add 3, 5 or even 6 distributors out of 200 prospects, but, if your conversion rate is 2%, than for a larger number of prospects over a longer period of time you will still get 4 distributors out of every 200 prospects in average.

The bottom line

The conclusion we draw from the above is simple: In order to increase our organization in the shortest possible time, we need to increase both A and B.

1. Increasing A: Our goal here is to find ways to reach – on a constant basis – to the number of prospects (leads) that will enable us to add a predetermined number of new distributors to our organization.

2. Improving B: A higher conversion rate is crucial in exploiting the most out of the leads we have invested so much thoughts, time and money to accumulate.

Let us now discuss each of these components:

Increasing A:

Every new distributor needs a quick first success in order to be reassured in his new way. The shortest possible way to get to that success is by recruiting people you already know. In other words: friends and family. This is why so many sponsors recommend starting with what is called: the hot list.
So we follow the advice, we assemble a hefty list of, say, 100 prospects and invest a whole month in going through this list. At the end of the month we find out that we managed to recruit 2 or 3 people to our organization. So now what? The instant source of prospects has been exploited, and it becomes clear that this is not the answer for the long term.

Common methods to find leads

If we exclude the expensive method of buying leads, here is a list of the most common methods to add new leads to the “pipe-line”:

1. Business cards

2. Flyers distribution in people mail boxes

3. Wearing publicity buttons

4. Approach people in public (shopping centers)
5. Stickers

6. Advert on your car

7. Adverts on public boards in your area

8. Adverts in local newspapers

9. Local radio stations advertising

10. Buying email lists

11. Internet advertising

12. Recruiting Website

All these methods are legitimate and have been successfully implemented.

Which of these methods should I use?

Before you practice each one of these methods, you should ask yourself the following important questions:

1. What is the cost effectiveness of this method? How much resource of time, thought and money I expect to invest to recruit 1 prospect?

2. What is the quantity of prospects I can achieve using this method? How many prospects I expect to add to the pipeline in a month? Is there a limit to the number of prospects I can find this way?

3. What is the prospects′ quality this method produces? High quality leads are informed prospects. These people have already received information about the business opportunity before you even talk to them.

We will let you examine the above methods in light of the questions here.

Improving B

Conversion rate – for a large extent – is personal. Hypothetically, if two distributors would approach the same group of prospects, their success ratio in recruiting distributors from this group is likely to be different.
However, if we take two distributors with the same conversion rate, and let them “process” two groups from a different source (say an add in the newspaper and a recruiting Website), who do you think will have a higher rate of success? I think the answer is obvious.

Beyond personal ability – that requires continuous self improvement -, conversion rate directly correlates to the quality of prospects and the source from which they have arrived.

A recruiting Website is a prime source of quality prospects

Let us go back to the list of the 12 common methods detailed above. It is interesting to note, that from the prospect’s point of view, the first 11 methods have one thing in common: In each one of them, the prospect receives minimal information. Each one of these methods is using a short phrase or some kind of a teaser so people are enticed to contact you.
A recruiting Website is different. Here you have your own stage. Here you present the surfer with the information you want, at the way you want. A surfer which has submitted the application form in your recruiting Website has became a quality prospect. These prospects have gone through a filter, have taken an action and expressed interest in what you have to offer.

It does not come as a surprise though, that the conversion rate of prospects originated from recruiting Website, is significantly higher than any other method.

Few more reasons why a recruiting Website is essential to distributors

1. A recruiting Website is the most cost effective marketing channel.

2. The big equalizer: A small business has the same opportunity to make a convincing presentation as a large business.

3. The Internet has no borders: As opposed to the other methods your Website is everywhere.

4. Your message is there all the time: every hour, every day all the year.

5. Your competitors are there. Can you afford not to be there?

Let us follow the logic of the arguments we have built up to now in a few short sentences:

1. Our goal is success

2. Success is measured by the size of our organization

3. The size of our organization depends on the number of prospects we can “produce” and our conversion rate

4. The number and quality of prospects we can produce is linked to the marketing channels we use

5. A recruiting Website has the highest conversion rate over all other methods because of the quality of the prospects it delivers.

When you think of the hard work you invest, the time, the money, the fact that you need to process so many people to purify those who become distributors at the end of this process, you realize that the best possible results can be produced by using a recruiting Website.
