Days of My Work at Home Life

Saturday, October 29th, 2005

Five a.m. I can hear the alarm ring,
So early ~ birds are barely chirping.
Hardly feel like I got any sleep and
Already time to make the coffee.
The boy’s up and in the shower,
“Do you want some breakfast?”
“Don’t forget,” he says on his way
Out the door, headed to the bus.
Oh my gosh, look at the clock,
It’s time to get to business.
Calls to make, more to take,
Emails past the point of return.
Letters to type, ads to write
And events you must attend.
The phone is ringing.
What’s that truck? It’s UPS.
It’s days like this when working at home,
You’re glad you decided to dress.
It’s three already, holy cow.
Is there practice or a game?
Check the date, don’t be late,
There’s nothing more he hates.
While cooking dinner,
Some laundry gets done,
Dust and sweep too, doesn’t take long.
Okay, the house looks great,
It’s now going on ten,
“Brush your teeth, it’s getting late,”
“Love you too,”
And off to bed he went.
Quiet finally, peace in the house,
Shut out the lights,
Head back to the office.
Only a little more to do,
Just a couple more hours
And I’m through…

For today.

MLM Promotion Tip - How To Catch a Big, Big, Big, Big Fish

Friday, October 28th, 2005

Back in 1990, I learned a lot in the brief time I worked in Key West as a copywriter for Gary Halbert, the Prince of Print. One amazing lesson was how to move and shake a mover and shaker.

In town to videotape Halbert’s $7,000 “Seminar by the Sea” was “Guerilla Bill” Myers from Arkansas. I talked with Bill and he told me his story.

Bill made a nice income by videotaping boat shows, auto shows, gun shows, etc., and offering his videos for sale nationally through classified ads and small display ads in targeted publications. He wanted to break into the marketing “big time,” and he knew that a strong connection with Halbert would help him do that.

One problem: Gary Halbert didn’t know Bill Myers from Adam.

One solution: Bill shot a video of himself talking about Halbert, what he had learned from Halbert, how he designed his video sales business from Halbert’s newsletters, how Halbert was missing a lot of income by not getting involved in guerilla videos, etc., etc., etc. Bill suggested that Halbert’s first step should be to hire him (Bill) to tape the Seminar.

And then Myers made up a tape label and a tape box with a photo of Halbert on it and a title like “Gary Halbert Video Profits.” He stuck the video in the box, wrapped it, and had it delivered to Halbert by FedEx.

Halbert got the package, opened it, his eyes bugged out to see that video box with HIS OWN PICTURE on it and HIS NAME in the title. He called Myers and hired him on the spot to videotape ALL his seminars.

Overnight, Myers went from being a nobody to being in the Inner Circle of the top marketers in the country … all because of one over-the-top promotion that took him about $40 (including FedEx delivery) and an hour to put together.

But that wasn’t all. While in Key West, Myers met all of Halbert’s people. And a few months later, he stole Halbert’s personal assistant away and married her!

Think how YOU would approach a big, big fish who you’d like to work with in your MLM business. What would YOU do to create an impression on that person that they would never forget the rest of their life? (And, of course, they would join you in your business.)

How to Approach the Center of Influence

They don’t have much time, and they’re extremely picky about what they’ll spend their time on. Most of them have a system to protect themselves from time-wasters … which is most of the people who want them. To give yourself a chance, you must:

1. Make a huge impression. Do something your target will talk about and remember the rest of their life.

2. Respect their time by being 100% prepared. Know exactly, step-by-step, what you want them to do. And don′t have very many steps.

3. Tell them exactly how much time/money/effort your request will require.

4. Explain whether it’s a one-time commitment, or is it ongoing?

5. Show your target how your deal lines up with their goals. And if you don’t know their goals, find out before you approach them.

6. Show them how THEIR customers and/or prospects will benefit, and who else will benefit?

7. Present your request in a simple, clear, specific, actionable format so the Big Fish can evaluate & answer quickly. This also demonstrates that YOU know what you’re doing.

8. Structure the deal so your target gets all - or at least, the lion’s share - of the profit. Your benefit is getting access to their list and breaking into the Big Time.

9. Is there a 3rd party who knows both you and the target who can introduce you?

10. Make it clear this is a personal, one-on-one request, not a generic deal you’re offering to a bunch of people.

11. Explain - quickly and simply - why this will greatly benefit your target.
Tell them what might interest them, what they’d enjoy, how they’ll be challenged, how your deal will help them long-term.

So plan some totally outlandish approach, think every detail through from the Big Fish’s viewpoint, and you have a real chance of making a Quantum Leap in your

MLM; How to Prey on the Weak for Quicker Down Line Building

Friday, October 28th, 2005

They say that misery loves company and if you are trying to build your Multilevel Marketing Company then perhaps you should find people in misery who need a friend. These people will listen to your line of reasoning and your sales tactics. Many people join religions at a low point in their life. Why is this? Well, some say they have given up hope and need something to lift the backup.

Those people who have been involved in religion will generally have slightly lower self-esteem and this also causes negative biofeedback such as guilt and keeps the person weak or sometimes in misery. It behooves Multilevel Marketing Companies to find these weak people and attempt to sign them up.

It is amazing to me when I am approached by a Multilevel Marketing Company Recruiter that they try to talk with me and look for a weakness and then attempt to exploit that in order to sign me up. Why do they do this? Because it works on most everybody and today can get people to listen and commiserate. Unfortunately it doesn’t work on me because I am not weak and yet they still try the same tactics.

I would suggest if Multilevel Marketing Companies have found success in signing up very weak people that they ensure that the person they are talking to is in fact week before going through their line of BS. Once they have qualified person as being a weak, then they can continue their presentation. Otherwise they are simply wasting their time purporting their utter hokum and they really need to move on. Consider this in 2006.

So…You Want To Start A Home Based Salon Part 1

Friday, October 28th, 2005

Are you looking for a business that can ultimately be very lucrative, basically recession-proof, makes other people feel good and is extremely personally rewarding? Discover why working from your own home can be perfect for you! You′ve come to the right place if you answered yes to even a few of those questions.

The National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences conducted a Job Demand Survey in 2003. The survey indicated that total average income for salon owners was $53,150 in 2002. This includes tips. This is the average which means that you can earn much more depending on the where and how of the business.

1. Designing hot hairstyles making people look and feel their best is amazingly rewarding.

2. You can choose the hours that best fit your life style.

3. You get to choose which clients you want and who your target market is.

4. You control your prices and your raises. Who wouldn’t want that?

5. You also decide what kind of a salon you want and which services you want to offer.

6. You get to choose your own equipment and salon decor. What fun!

7. Under the proper legal structuring, you can enjoy the many tax breaks the IRS allows. There are plenty, believe me!

The first thing to consider is licensing. Some cities and states may be subject to local authorities. (health, zoning, business license for state or city) Check to make sure what the tax laws are and state codes for owning a salon in your home. Most states allow it with approval and inspection. A separate entrance from the street and a separate bathroom are common requirements. You will need signage too.

A license is required to operate a spa or a salon. You can own one but the person in charge of operating the spa or salon must have a license from that particular state board. For more information about licensing information in each state you can visit the following sites

If you want to be a trained cosmetologist, nail technician, esthetician, or make-up artist then you have to enroll in a beauty school. There lots of beauty schools out there so how do you select one. The decision is of course basically yours but do a lot of research and then select the one that you feel will satisfy you.

You can also ask schools for student’s contacts to ask them about the school. You can also visit the schools. You can check this site to get more information on this topic.

Can You Really Make Money Surfing

Friday, October 28th, 2005

Can you really get paid to surf web sites? Yes, as hard as it might to believe, there are web sites that will pay you to view other web sites. The paid-to-surf programs are very popular right now. Because of the popularity, there are also many programs that are defrauds and there aim is to take your money and close up shop.

I am going to tell you how the auto surf programs work and give some peaks when you are ready to enter in one of the surf programs.

Most all of the auto surf programs have several membership levels. Also, the majority also offer free membership programs so you can test drive the program and see if it attracts to you. However, the majority of the free memberships do not pay you to surf but will allow you to earn credits to have other members look at your web site.

After you sign up with one of the get paid to surf programs, you are given an option to choose an upgrade. Depending on the web site, upgrades can start at $1.00 and usually go up to $20.00. Each upgrade you purchase increments the amount of money you get for surfing other members web sites.

The amount of the payment also varies from web site to web site. Payouts range anywhere from 1% each day to 15% each day. Normally, the higher the payout, the greater the danger. Keep in mind that all the paid to surf programs have some certain gamble involved and there are not guarantees and no refunds.

Another item to think about is how long the membership and upgrades last. Some expire in 12 days while others last for one year. None of the paid to surf programs consider their programs an investment. You simply get a membership to the web site. Free memberships often have limits and paid memberships do not. After you buy your membership, you can start earning funding to surf now.

A typical paid-to-surf program might be like this: There are 5 membership levels you can select from. The first level is the free membership. The free membership allows you to earn credits while surfing other members web sites. The credits will allow you to add your web site to the queue and allow other members to view your web site. The other four memberships are paid memberships and each has a different membership and pays you different rates. The first paid membership costs $1.00 and pays you 1% of your membership amount each day you surf the minimum required web sites. The next paid membership pays you 2% daily and costs $5.00. The third paid membership level only costs $10 and pays you 3% of your membership on a day-to-day basis. The last paid membership costs $15 to join and pays 4% of your membership on a daily basis.

All auto surf programs require you review a minimum number of member websites. Most of these programs are auto-look at and you just click the “Start Surfing” button and then your computer will surf the member websites automatically. You can walk away from you computer and come back in 30 to 40 minutes and your surfing is complete for the day. Perform the auto-surfing on a day by day basis and you will be paid the percentage your membership pays. If you purchased the $15 membership level and you surf the minimum number of web sites, you will be paid 60 cents a day. In 25 days, you will have earned your membership fee back, and then each day after the 25th day will be profit. In 60 days, you will have earned a maximum of $36, more than double your membership amount.

The stimulating part of the paid to surf programs is you can increase your membership amount by purchasing upgrades, and this is where you can earn some decent returns. If you increased your upgrades by $300, you would then be earning $12 per day. In 25 days, you have earned your membership fee back, and in 60 days, you have earned $720 on your $300 upgrade. Not a bad return on your initial membership fee for surfing for 30 minutes a day. One paid-to-look at web site has a maximum upgrade of $6,000 and pays 12% per day. That amounts to $720 per day and your upgrade of $6,000 earned back in 9 days. Your membership expires every 12 days and you will get $8,640 back after 12 days.

You need to remember that all the paid to surf websites carry a gamble when you purchase the membership and upgrades. You have to see it like gambling and only use financial support that you can afford to use. Most get paid to surf websites come and go all the time. You need to research and find programs that you feel comfortable with.

I have 10 different paid to surf web sites that is in my portfolio. I have a review that I update every day on the different surfType websites that I invest in and you can surf the reviews at jameshendrix.com/html/surf.html jameshendrix.com/html/surf.html.

Let’s All Work From Home And Make Some Money

Thursday, October 27th, 2005

Sounds great, huh? I suppose, in some strange way, we would all hope for such a thing. To do our work from home and make our living, rather than having to go to a job everyday in order to make our living. Well, maybe not all of us, but the percentage has to be pretty high.
In my opinion, it’s important to remember that working from home is really no different than any other type of work, other than the mental aspects. In many ways the mental part is the hardest part. Think about it; you′ve been conditioned to believe, since the day you were born, that you go to a job and you receive a paycheck for that work. So changing that conditioning from getting a paycheck for the work you do, to doing the work first and receiving the money at some later date, is very different. Not only is it different, it’s very scary. And all of this takes place inside of your own head. It’s all mental.

The fact remains that you want to make money from home or you wouldn’t be reading an article such as this one. In my humble opinion, it comes down to something very simple. If you want to work from home there is going to have to be some work done on your part. There are about a million offers out there from people and companies that claim that you can ‘work from home’ and make a ton of money with very minimal effort. This simply isn’t true. Having a successful business of any sort isn’t “easy” or everyone would do it.

The biggest aspect of making money from home, as I alluded to earlier, is the fact that it’s different. It’s just different than working a normal job and you have to realize this and work with it. Whatever you do, don’t buy into the hype, because many of the weasels you see out there are just trying to take advantage of you. Remember what your parents said, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”

In order to have your own money making business that you run out of you’re home, there is going to be work involved. Just keep that little fact in the back of your mind as you move forward. And that work is different than any you’ve done before, not good or bad, just different.

Multi-Level Marketing with Email Leads

Thursday, October 27th, 2005

The multi-level marketing independent distributor continually faces the challenge of contacting new leads that may result in a customer for the company’s product or service. An MLM email Lead is just like any other lead, except that the business owner (independent distributor) contacts this lead via email, rather than using standard offline methods of contact. Email leads should not be confused with a generic email list.

The difference is that an actual lead has expressed some interest in the product, service, or business opportunity that an MLM business owner has to offer. An email list can be acquired through various channels, including internet spiders that retrieve email addresses from web sites. These types of lists often result in “spam” or unwanted emails.

Like all other MLM leads, the business owner may purchase a list of MLM email leads from any number of companies that offer these types of services to MLM companies. The business owner can also generate his or her own list through a variety of marketing methods. The simple exchange of business cards between the MLM business owner and a potential lead is a good way to guarantee that the lead was interested. The business owner can also create a web site explaining the product or service and business opportunity.

A web site is valuable in generating MLM email leads, because the web site visitor will probably already be interested in the company. The web site can require registration in order to navigate to some of the more informative areas. The registration process can include the visitor’s email address, physical address, and phone number.

e-mlmleads.com MLM Leads Info provides comprehensive information on MLM lead generation and lists, as well as email, opt-in, free, genealogy, targeted and local leads. MLM Leads Info is the sister site of e-lead-generation.com Lead Generation Web.

To Make Money Online - What Newbies Must Avoid (Part 1)

Thursday, October 27th, 2005

The truth is, there are far more scams than actual opportunities. But of course there are legitimate opportunities out there too, you just have to find them.

If you have never before tried to find a real and honest home based business opportunity, you are a perfect candidate for falling into the scammers’ traps. These shrewd guys know perfectly well what you are looking for, and are experts on convincing you that their opportunity is just what you have been looking for.

Their web sites are extremely enticing, because these guys know exactly what you are looking for. They show you “proofs″ of their online wealth with pictures of them with their nice little family in front of their big new house, and in front of their new million dollar sports car. And they often show you “proofs″ of their great PayPal and ClickBank earnings.

Just imagine, we see this great opportunity to make a living from the internet. We read through their great sales copy, and see “testimonials” from people that have made a fortune from promoting this opportunity. These are just statements from people we don’t even know exist for real!

They count on you falling for that crap! The pictures they show you could just as well have been copied from some catalogues or be faked some way to fool you, you have no way of verifying that anything they claim is really true. Just keep in mind that if the opportunity seems too good to be true, it most probably is.

What you need to do, and that is extremely important, you need to learn to distinguish between honest opportunities and scams. Among the things you should do is to investigate their business model, customer support, how long they have been in business, and if they provide you with everything you need to build a successful business.

Do you have any background in working on the internet? Do you have any experience in website design, do you know anything about keywords, search engine optimization or meta tags or any of the stuff that comes with your online business?

Before you jump on the next too-good-to-be-true
